  1. I didn't really take his comment in a negative manner. To me he meant it as her laying out her marks and letting him know the scenes would have a lot of back and forth and energy (which they generally did). It's nothing that other actors haven't said about her, even those who are very close to her. They just say it in a friendlier way.
  2. Disgusting, and not surprising. Yet many still insist he is going to outflank the left.
  3. This is the type of outrage-stirring that Pence specializes in. He's "owning the libs" by not wearing a mask. It gets Trump supporters going, and it also sends a clear message of support to those who think the virus is harmless or overstated. Tucker Carlson, hero to leftist grifters like Krystal Ball, has also been making these noises. They want to placate their base over being sent to illness or death. Meanwhile, Trump is sending more people to their death by forcing meat packing plants to stay open. This is another reason why McConnell is adamant about forcing legislation that would waive liability for companies. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/28/trump-to-order-meat-plants-to-stay-open-215555
  4. Oh that's right. I forgot the baby died.
  5. She played her for most of the character's run, aside from a year or two.
  6. A fun moment with Christopher Reeve's son Will on GMA this morning...forgetting to wear pants.
  7. In the last weeks of the show, I remember her and Matt having scenes where their kids would play together, and you could tell where the story would have gone. I always preferred John Littlefield to Tim Gibbs. I am probably the only one who did. I enjoyed his friendly chemistry with Cindy and Lila, and I thought he was very hot. Clearly Nadine Stenovitch agreed...
  8. They look like somebody got in a fight right before the camera clicked. I still don't really know how they went from ethereal, solemn Richard Hatch to dem dese dose Nick Benedict. Ray McDonnell looks very suave.
  9. Ms. Minnie died in a hit and run https://people.com/tv/little-women-atlanta-ashley-minnie-ross-dead-hit-run-car-accident/ So awful. I hope she is at peace now. I only watched here and there, but I'll never forget all the laughs and screencaps and gifs this thread gave me.
  10. That would have been a great idea.
  11. Yes - without a hack like Goutman, anyway.
  12. If I'd been on a board at the time of that GL I would have probably been fuming - looking back I realize they were not entirely to blame (and I think Rauch and/or MADD were sabotaging them) but there were so many choices that made no sense and so many moments that just felt inauthentic (Blake seemed to become Lucy Coe overnight).
  13. At this point I believe the Labines were planning to pair Michelle with Frank (!), so who knows what they or Rauch had in mind.
  14. I thought Hilary Edson worked well with Peter Simon, and the story of her attempts to reclaim her sanity and reputation was one of the few I connected with by that point. I also thought that the right to die story and Rick's angst over what to do was good drama - and that story was also one of the few times I bought Barbara Crampton as Mindy. I always kind of wondered if they did intend for her to be a more permanent coupling with Nick if they hadn't managed to book a 'name' (sort of) as Mindy.
  15. From old posts in the They Almost Became thread, Laura Allen (Laura English #2, AMC), auditioned. So did Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie/Frankie, AMC, and other soap roles that are too shitty to mention).
  16. One of the dullest recasts ever, and so cold and sanctimonious. I knew I disliked her when I was rooting for Danny in their child custody and divorce wrangling, even though he was a gangster. It speaks volumes that she was going to be recast when the show ended and also that she wasn't even asked for that reunion chat (as far as I know...). He was thrown into Marah's age group, yes, for that tacky, stupid "virginity bet" story where three men were desperate to get into her pants. Lindsey McKeon has gone on to prove herself as an actress, but she was never worth the focus she got on GL.
  17. I would never have gotten so into AW without that website. It's so beautifully detailed. Like the Edge of Night website. I'm glad they are both still around (I think). That was also the only place to find past material for AW before Youtube came along (I know there was WOST but I never had the Internet connection strength to enjoy that while it was at its peak).
  18. That "despise" one still cracks me up. The early days of the soap Interwebs were wild. You'd never say that today (probably for good reason).
  19. Generally, yes. With Taggart they did have some friendship scenes, mostly in the context of pushing the Bill/Michelle pairing...nearly a decade after anyone stopped having any interest in that relationship.
  20. Nothing that big, sadly, but more than I expected. Fletcher came back for Alex's exit, and before he left, he and Bill briefly spoke about how much they missed Ben. That was probably the first time the character's name had been mentioned since his wretched death storyline.
  21. JFP did that, reusing her same tired old storyline. She tried a third time too, on OLTL. The whole thing was contrived and I don't bother with any of that. Eddie Drueding's tirades against that time period are enough for me.
