It's sad to hear that about Nicola's suffering, on top of how badly Peri was written... If those ever go down in price I will want to get some. It would be great if Ryan could guest star in an episode.

I thought he was better once they toned down the "roguish" aspect of him but by that point he barely appeared. Having him try to do that accent was a terrible idea.

The show had built up a decent younger and newer cast in seasons 10-12 which could have been a future for the show, but so much of that was dismantled by the end of that season/early season 13 that I don't think what was left was enough. There was a planned Knots spinoff in the late '80s which I wish they had picked up with some new blood and old favorites. I think characters like Harold, Olivia, Jason, Julie, Paige (if Nicolette was willing to stay around), Anne, Kate, etc. could have turned over, with some of the vets making guest appearances (and with Abby being away for a number of years there would be some story to explore).

Nice to see Toby. I remember how offputting the many digs about her hair were when she was on GL (and that some of the cast weren't thrilled with making them) - glad she is still just the same.

I'm not counting him out, I think he could win...I have just seen too much pointing and laughing at Walker as if he's out of the race.

That's interesting. I never noticed that, but I'd have to rewatch. Henry is absolutely right. It's too bad he can't convince Bill Hader to help get one in gear...in another world Bill would have been a great soap actor.

The Donna Mills interview is a wonderful read. I especially appreciate that they took time to speak with JVA and Ted Shackleford, who both have wonderful reminisces of Donna. I laughed when Ted said yes to a revival because he doesn't think it's ever going to happen anyway. Sad, but true.

I don't think Manchin is going to run again, and if he does I think he's going to lose to a Republican. At this point the best to hope for is he doesn't switch parties or resign early. I can't even laugh at anything with Walker. There's a very good chance he's going to win. The last poll had him 3 behind Warnock, with polls that tend to underrate GOP chances, and Kemp likely to overperform. I don't have a great feeling.

I was just looking at a promo of the "story" where Fallon and Adam were attracted to each other before they found out they were siblings. Did that ever go anywhere? Was that motivation for him poisoning Jeff? Sometimes I wonder if they ever thought of pairing them when they suddenly claimed Adam was not actually a Carrington. He and Fallon had not been especially close as siblings in those 4-5 years (they didn't even interact for at least 3 of them), so it might not have been that shocking for viewers.

I didn't know they went so far back either. The commercials are always so OTT, sometimes I just have to laugh. I tend to be the same about Capitol. Rob put up some of my favorite rarities. They also uploaded a big block of promos for all the soaps of the '80s.
