  1. I have no real interest in seeing Eyes of Tammy Faye - frankly, it does not look good - but I'm happy for Jessica Chastain, who seems to be one of the more sincere people in Hollywood. I'm also happy she helped get Tammy Faye's story out there to another generation. And, yes, I'm happy that finally someone from Dark Shadows has won an Oscar.
  2. I can see why - I saw that Jada was trending because of her dress upstaging Will, and many many "entanglement" jokes, including from one of the Oscar hosts. People did memes about how broken Will looked when he was on Jada's talk show, but everyone has their limits. I would guess he probably couldn't stand Chris anyway. But if it is true, then wow, what a place to go off. And right before he probably wins an Oscar.
  3. Surely that was fake??? Chris went in SO hard on Jada when he hosted the Oscars in 2015 or 2016, that's the only reason I wonder if it wasn't staged. And isn't Will winning Best Actor tonight? How weird that will now be.
  4. I wonder where Susan Diol is now. As someone who is fascinated by temp recasting, the number of temps the last two years on GH has been astounding, and something worth studying (the differences in performance, and so on).
  5. You are probably right, but I do think it is feeing into the Ukraine numbers, and is feeding into the grotesque narrative the media are using about his "inarticulate" (their words) comments yesterday. It's a way of training the public to think Biden is incapable on all fronts, compared to their big daddy heroes like Trump.
  6. The media's glee makes me sick. Trump, abhorrent as he is, was right about them and how they are in many ways such a threat to our country, even if he handled it in a grotesque, violent manner.
  7. Unfortunately I do think the media obsession has an impact with the public, as Biden's numbers fell after Afghanistan and have not significantly recovered. While I don't think this is on that level by any means (especially as there are no dead US soldiers involved), it's another club for the media to wield and a way for them to move on from talking about Clarence Thomas, which they were desperate to do. It also means they don't have to give Biden any credit for foreign policy and give another edge to Republicans.
  8. The sad truth is even with a strong economy, the media would make sure Democrats lost. Only Republicans are allowed to have strong economies.
  9. The main difference is the media loved Reagan. They do not like Biden. They circled in on that, and the walkback, immediately. I hope Biden's polling will improve, but I'm not really sure that is possible in this country.
  10. MTG saying what her party feels with all its heart, and as always no one else in the party will say a word in rebuttal. At least she's honest, I guess. Republicans hate you and they hate me and they want us to die. It's just that simple. Brain dead hags like this circus freak are a gift because they make it clear and mean we have more time to try to find some way out, unlikely as that may be. I wonder how long it will be before she's a guest on Chapo Trap House or another socialist podcast. They love this [!@#$%^&*].
  11. Was that the Nazi season? I remember reading that got a very negative response and the network stepped in.
  12. With the racially charged, ugly campaign against Judge Jackson, and all the SCOTUS drama of late, it's been interesting timing to find some of these videos recently uploaded to Youtube.
  13. I'm still wary about Sinema, but she doesn't seem to lean into culture war so Manchin's statement makes me a little more hopeful. That Thomas statement is so empty I have no idea how to react. You'd think if he were doing well they would be more triumphant against their great enemies. I have a feeling they are just going to try to hold on until November...
  14. The talking points castigating Democrats over impeaching Clarence Thomas (even though they haven't even said as much) and/or doing the whole "How can you criticize him for his wife's actions?" routine have already lined up, from Richard Dreyfuss' very weird son, and stuff like this:
  15. Is there any rape-but-not-really-rape-just-ask-the-writers in that movie? If so, Ron loves it, I guarantee.
  16. I have no idea if this means he will have to leave Congress. These days, who knows.
  17. Armstrong Williams. There's a name I hadn't heard of - and didn't want to hear of - for many years. The arrogance of popping up to say "He's resting and we're not going to tell you where because...um...boo media!" says it all. If, say, Breyer's wife had been involved in anything - even went jaywalking - the GOP would have impeached him and thrown him off the court. Yet Ginni can do everything but clobber a police officer - she could probably even do that - and no one cares.
  18. Considering what he and his hatemonger wife would want to happen to us, and considering the beyond sickening behavior of the GOP regarding RBG, no. I do not wish ill on him, but I am not going to fake concern for a monster. As said above, he is probably fine anyway. The GOP are always better at planning things like this than Democrats are.
  19. Yet so many still eat her [!@#$%^&*] up. I do wonder if she is feeling the pressure now that NYT keeps belching out new versions of her. Her problem is that her audience supports Putin - she either does not get that, or is agonizingly posturing until she can come out in support of him by saying it's not about supporting him, but opposite the elites of the Woke Woke West. Froggy Taibbi is on this path, endlessly obsessing over Azov and Russian Nazis. He is so toxic that even though he's not at Rolling Stone anymore, I find myself still not trusting their reporting due to them paying him a salary for years. Speaking of grifters:
  20. If he is fine, then questions need to be asked about why the Court is refusing any comment on his not being a part of oral arguments or giving an update on him.
