  1. I doubt Dawn is gone, as she left her dog behind. Jack I would not be surprised by as it's obvious the show has no use for him, but if that was his exit, it's a shockingly terrible one. Someone please travel to Ferndale and put guards around to stop Dawn or Esther from ever returning.

  3. Hadn't Pat already moved beyond suburban housewive in 1979?
  4. Just embarrassing. And people were gassing this up to no end at the time. Sheffer (RIP) was a hack to the nth degree. If I'd actually cared about Bryant I would have been even more angry over him being killed off for this flop.
  5. I still shudder at the memory of Block trying to cry.
  6. It's not. They just don't have a great deal of interest in writing for the character, especially in Ben's life. Ben is just defined by Phil, and tedious melodrama.
  7. Thanks @jam6242 love this. Citron going from nerd to pimp in his photo makes me laugh for some reason - the shift in the early '70s in a glimpse, I suppose. The backstage moments, especially the one with Beverly Penberthy and Susan Sullivan, are priceless. I wonder if these are new entries for AWHP (I'm sure if they are you're already on that). The Lemay and especially Rauch sections almost feel like self-parody. They were certainly right about Bernice, as she was killed off a month or so after this article. I don't get the impression Lemay had much use for the John Randolph character, but you could see how much viewers liked him.
  8. This is Lara Parker, isn't it?
  9. It was her partnership with Jerry that really made viewers fond of her, I think. They had a lovely relationship. Today I have seen comments about how harmful Jerry's show was. I can see those points, but I felt like his show was so obviously ridiculous and did not try to straddle the line in a way shows like Jenny Jones or Ricki Lake did. For that reason I found it easier to enjoy.
  10. I always appreciated his work as Len - just quietly full of heart and a flavor of the everyday. He helped make the show seem real. And his relationship with Edna was so layered. Sad few days for the Beedles era of the show.
  11. There was something off for me in Monti Sharp's portrayal, similar to when he was on ATWT a year earlier as a villainous doctor. I remember him being positioned as the heavy in the triangle with Dara and Taggert - a triangle I never cared about, and neither did the show. I liked Dara but no one at GH had any interest in her - my guess is Guza would have dumped her immediately if he'd had the option. Philips for me played the different parts of Justus perfectly well, but he did not fit into Guza's toxic fantasies. One of my main memories of Justus of this period is Ned smirking, smugging, and judging, as he spent 90% of his time doing. I truly despised Ned in these years.
  12. The first was not even let on the air by CBS. You can see why when you watch it.
  13. @Vee I remember hearing this was coming, but still surprised it actually happened. I have no tears to cry for Nate Silver, who threw away his reputation for the sake of contrarian and right wing talking points. He and Josh Barro can go bankroll some podcast to nowhere.
  14. They've played so many beats wrong with Zack's HIV story, which should have been a slam dunk on paper. I still don't see any real heart in the show.
  15. I'd say Sonny was exactly Tea's type, but I would never have wanted to watch anything involving them. I mostly remember Damian spending his last year mooning over Katherine. I wonder if they kept him on longer just to set up his murder mystery.
  16. He'll go somewhere. He founded or co-founded Daily Caller, a very influential hate machine. He can go back there. He can probably write his own ticket. I'm just shocked he, as bootlicker Stetler tweeted, didn't get to say goodbye on his own terms. He was, along with Greg Gutfeld, their biggest draw, by far. I wonder just how frightened the Faux News executives are about this upcoming lawsuit and what else is to come.
  17. I see that @Soapsuds put up the photo from it, but does anyone know if any of his short films are available to watch? I'm curious as to how they are.
  18. There's a lot of spin out there about how he's on the rise, Trump has peaked, polling must show that he's secretly beating Trump and he's winning the long game, but the man looks completely and utterly blindsided and rattled here. His face genuinely scares me. I don't believe this is a well man, and he's a danger to everyone in this country.
  19. That's lovely.
  20. Oh right. Sorry. That makes sense actually. When I made that post I was misremembering that Mike and Kayla were related.
