  1. Tucker Carlson is going to call him up fast.
  2. I wish they'd give some of that money to the state legislative races.
  3. The long-term with GH seems to be phasing out any black characters, including probably the most popular black character they ever had. I do think of the current black character group Jordan is probably the only one they will keep, and TJ, I suppose.
  4. Robinson's positions there are mainstream GOP positions now. Minus (publicly) liking trans porn I suppose. Robinson is comparing himself to Clarence Thomas with the high-tech lynching quotes and refusing to drop out. Given how misleading NC polls have been in the last two cycles I think he will only narrowly lose, and Trump will eke out a win. It's very hard to imagine that poll with Harris winning NC and losing PA. The state polls being this close, given the likely undercounting of Trump's support, makes me uneasy. Still, better to be ahead than behind, if it lasts. Nebraska Republicans may try again to give Trump that electoral vote Harris would have won otherwise, and it's too late for Maine to change their rules. https://nebraskaexaminer.com/2024/09/18/winner-take-all-push-gets-help-of-gov-jim-pillen-sen-lindsey-graham-trump/
  5. As this is being mentioned in a few other canceled soap threads, may as well here too: Karla Mosley is joining Beyond the Gates.
  6. I'll never stop missing GL. Due to how little seems to change in culture now, the end of the show doesn't feel as far away or dated as it might have in past decades. I am just glad to know there are still others out there who loved the show and still do. GL and P&G truly put us through the wringer. I agree Moniz and Blanchard were both at their best in the late '90s. And even though Drew's stories had no long term impact, I agree I was more invested in her plots than most of the rest at the time. She had such a vulnerability, I had to care about her.
  7. Didn't know this happened today.
  8. @P.J. If someone else can't help you may want to try this app: https://www.shazam.com/
  9. I thought she was a better actress than Moniz, who struggled mightily with any moment beyond scheming and whining, but she relied more on her presence as she had a very Old Hollywood feel (not surprised she later played Judy Garland).
  10. They would probably cast Juliet as a not dead Cora Miller.
  11. That would make an odd sort of sense.
  12. At least we're past the era of finding any long-ago primetime name as they would have cast Jim J Bullock.
  13. The West Coast Teamsters have also endorsed Harris. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/18/west-coast-teamsters-endorse-harris-00179923
  14. That's a good point. If Steven Ford is still willing to come back this would be a good time for an appearance. Another reminder of how sad whatever happened with the show and Doug Davidson is.
  15. And there's a 99% chance Maitland Ward will not be back. I know she did not leave with Dylan but they may as well bring Dylan Neal back to give some sort of continuity. I guess they at least remembered a former Forrester, but there's not much point here.
  16. I'd forgotten about Lauren and Traci. Lauren in particular would make sense. I wonder if they will even interact.
  17. This is why when I see people on Twitter going on about how much they miss Guza because something was always happening and the stories all made sense and were character-driven, I am bewildered. So much was just gross trash that scars the show to this day. I get why people miss him but the rewriting annoys me.
  18. Once again Y&R seems to have issues with how they bring in legendary black talent. I am glad Valerie is joining the show but why Amy? I really liked Amy, but what is she going to be without Nathan, Paul or Andy? They likely are not bringing back Tyrone or Jazz either. Did she even have any other relationships on the show? Is this going to be a retcon where we find out she had a child with Neil? There was something special about Stephanie Williams as Amy. I don't think she ever really fit in on OLTL (not helped by the complete lack of interest the show had in her) but she clicked on Y&R. I'm sorry if the show sees her work as so irrelevant. If she declined to return, they should have left the role retired.
  19. Gutless. They have already endorsed Trump in so many ways. All this after Biden worked so hard for them. If Harris wins, I hope she cuts them off.
  20. Thanks for all the info. I think Georgia was mostly won due to a number of factors in 2020 which aren't there this year, but I hope Harris can pull it off. Quinnipac isn't very reliable, IIRC, but then Gallup, which is out today talking about a dip in her favorability while Trump had a big gain isn't either. If the latter is true, I do blame the media for their nonstop fawning over him. Any time there is a lull between events, Trump seems to regain footing, because people are drawn into falling for all the propaganda about him and about Harris (that and worries over immigration and the economy). Meanwhile it looks like the Teamsters are likely going to endorse Trump, as otherwise this polling data probably wouldn't have been released. Their scumbag head has been itching to do so, even speaking at the RNC and cheerleading hatemonger Josh Hawley, a favorite of the red-brown alliance dead end leftists. The methodology between the two polls is different, but this is still a big warning sign of how much the white working class vote is likely going to overperform for Trump again. When she is erudite, they criticize her for being too on message. When she's not, it's word salad. Meanwhile, if Trump blathers he is praised for managing to weave out a winning message. If he doesn't [!@#$%^&*] his pants on stage, he's praised for being on message. It's no wonder he is doing so well. @janea4old I saw that. Kennedy (who isn't even using his real accent - he magically gained that drawl when he switched parties) is often hyped by sycophants as "funny" but he's just an old nasty bigot. Even Faux News had to shut him down not long ago.
  21. Dillon seemed to be another of those characters Guza lost interest in quickly, especially after he flopped with golden girl JMB. I did genuinely like Scott Clifton on OLTL, even if he seemed very twitchy on GH. The idea of Dillon returning makes sense, especially as we probably won't have Tracy much longer, but then many would have said the same about Brooklyn and she's just sort of there.
  22. Thanks @Khan @soapfan770 for the views. I've just started reading some of the books (I'm not going in order) but I know this is for the show and the books are probably more divisive (I know some fans were upset over how Mort's wife was treated in the books) - I appreciate you responding.
