  1. You can't keep a pair of bottom feeders apart for long. Brian Stelter Returns To CNN As Chief Media Analyst (deadline.com)
  2. I must say I liked McKeon's work as Tessa the reaper on Supernatural (one of many, many women wasted on that show), but that was very ethereal and subdued work, which is a world away from this hellbeast that the show seems to want Lulu to be.
  3. I don't even remember Landon having that much energy on ATWT, although I haven't cared about going back to look.
  4. I think the concerns are still valid - many of us have spoken this year, repeatedly, about how much longer DAYS and GH will be on. And internationally the situation is also dire, with shows like Shortland Street and Hollyoaks hanging on by their fingernails, with reduced episode orders. Neighbours also has not been given a renewal as of yet. I do feel like we've said most of what we can say on the topic. I will say again that I wish they would go back to creating 15 minute soaps just to see what the public response might be.
  5. When you own the media, you don't have to spend on advertising.
  6. I'm more confused about that shitass Following show.
  7. The media has all the talking points in line for Trump so he doesn't have to actually do anything. The historical importance of returning to Detroit for Labor Day rallies doesn't matter to them so they don't cover it. They are much more interested in having that jackass from the Teamsters all over the place to remind us again he is not endorsing the ticket until they give him what he wants. And in the meantime they can just recycle stories about how black and Hispanic voters love Trump now. I still have PTSD from watching Carnival of Souls on Election Night 2016 so it's both terrifying and very funny to see it used in this context. They just want people to see him as a liar so anything he says will be invalidated. That's why they were even trying to claim he lied about his dog. It's the type of cheap seats attack that was resonant in the years they, and the media and many consultants that want to burn this country to the ground, so dearly miss (1988-2004). They have never gotten over the reality that many voters tune these smears out. They still haven't gotten over Obama winning in 2012 when the narrative insisted their forever friend Romney would triumph.
  8. This tweet, in reply to Nate Silver doing what you've mentioned, says it all: I was not shocked to see Josh Dawsey pitching to praise the shill who wrote all these articles (who also gleefully tweeted an ugly painting of Harris and Biden on sale at the Moms for Hitler rally). As mentioned above, Washington Post is no better.
  9. nm, that episode was already on Youtube, just with another date.
  10. Sorry about that. It's getting harder and harder for me to see articles.
  11. Bitter Megyn will chase any trend. I imagine this is getting extra push now because of the Arlington fiasco. The only people who even listen to her are brain dead cultists who will only ever vote for Trump anyway. Here's Semafor Ben, spreading paper-thin claims that his pal in Beltway smugness Olivia Nuzzi lost a big publicity campaign because of Democrats who were mad at her and didn't understand that her years of racist and bigoted tweets against Obama were "jokes." (no mention of her devotion for Richard Spencer and Ann Coulter) And of course a whine from her that when the right targets journalists, no one cares, but the left complains and she is punished.
  12. AOC tells the truth about Jill Stein (some of the old Stein cronies like Brie Brie are not happy).
  13. @Vee I've been seeing that talking point everywhere about how her lack of bounce is so notable. I think they all got it from Nate Silver. Another is hee-hawing over her losing support in a Minnesota poll.
  14. I rolled my eyes at them going on about how Moms for Liberty will appeal to fired up suburban women when that did not happen in 2022 or 2023. The media spent so much time building this group up they just can't let them go.
  15. If you can't access Twitter let me know and I'll post the photos.
  16. So much talent on Good Times, even in the flimsiest of roles.
  17. I've never gotten much out of what I've seen from O'Fee, but I am still curious for her take on Charlotte. I wonder if Long didn't try to do very much with Rebecca Hollen because she didn't create Trish, or if this was just a Kobe issue. Either way, a real waste. And after Trish is gone Vanessa has to end up filling some of those roles for the Lewis family (even when she and Billy are split), which drains some of the life of the character.
  18. A recent Archive post with various radio soaps (not sure how many are on Youtube). Radio Soap Operas - From Transcription Discs & Second Generation Reels : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive I looked on Youtube for this one and only found the theme music. The Carters Of Elm Street January, 1940 Transcription Disc : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Is that Jone Allison as Mildred?
  19. Thanks. Another episode I've love to see.
  20. I'm never sure how many radio episodes of Guiding Light are around. I see that the Library of Congress has a number of 1942-1946 episodes we can't listen to, and a number of early-mid '50s episodes are on Youtube, as is July 15, 1940. This collection of radio soaps has an episode from June 10, 1940. I can't remember if this one had already been around or not. 21. A very short-lived "teen drama" I'd never heard of called Palmetto Pointe, filmed on location in Charleston. Per Wiki this ran for 5 episodes, 2 unaired after that, and the project ended in bankruptcy and the cast and crew not being paid (clearly Prospect Park did not learn the perils of this PP alliteration). John Wesley Shipp guest starred. Amanda Baker also appeared, before her work on Night Shift and AMC.
  22. https://www.npr.org/2024/08/29/g-s1-20187/trump-abortion-amendment-4-florida-ivf-funding-reproductive-rights He's lying that the amendment will allow for abortion at nine months, which of course people are backing up as true even when it's just more bullshit.
  23. Yet the AP still won't even admit this man is a Trump supporter.
