  1. That account has also been putting out a number of tweets doubting Emerson polling, which had some very GOP-friendly polls in 2022 and are back again this year (the latest saying Harris is only 3% ahead in New Hampshire).
  2. Half or more of this country worships Trump, made worse now because of the kids who grew up when he was President are now of voting age, and many don't know or care about just how dangerous he and his puppetmasters are. Whenever people say any other Republican would be outperforming Trump, I wonder just who they think would win (Nikki Haley would never make it out of a primary). It took a pandemic to beat Trump in 2020. I don't have any idea what will this year. Miami-Dade has been tilting right more each year, and Florida is mostly a lost cause these days (this is where the state party needs to be helped - supposedly they are improving but have been a disaster for years). I do worry how much this reflects nationwide early voting trends, and the movement toward Trump in polling. I did see this, which has a more optimistic view about Nevada's numbers, although it might be seen as a cope, I don't know.
  3. Thanks! I will mention this to the person who uploaded the 25th. Love that, although you'd think Brian was the father here.
  4. The head of the NRSC is coming to campaign for Sam Brown so the early voting numbers must be even better than we realize. This goes along with the line Nate Silver is pushing about Harris' lead shrinking in national polling which given how Trump overperformed in polling in 2016/2020 is leading some to claim he will win the popular vote. I don't believe he will win the popular vote, but based on current trends it seems like he'll be closer than he was the last two times. I'm already seeing the usual whining about how Harris is hiding behind a celebrity or is wasting time in Texas instead of being in Wisconsin (even though she just left Wisconsin), but I can see where her campaign may be hoping anything turns the bad situation around. There's also a slim chance it could help with the Senate race, and it's good earned media instead of yet another day where she is grilled over everything she ever said or didn't say while Trump can fart and have NYT, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, etc. say how beautiful the smell is.
  5. Thanks. Is that episode online at present? I couldn't find it. I might have missed it. I saw the 28th, which has Lily in a different outfit, Holden in the same one.
  6. It's too soon to tell about this but I do think the way the 60 Minutes/View interviews were spun hurt her and so much talk about her only being negative (while Trump is fawned over for a fake fry cooking) does push a bad narrative in these final weeks. I wish Democrats would just stop going to the corporate media.
  7. Incredibly annoyed (if not surprised) to see clips circulating of Jake Tapper, David Axelrod and Dana Bash panning Harris after the town hall. Between that and Anderson Cooper's tactics I wonder if she was set up. It's deja vu to 60 Minutes, right down to people saying "even CNN" is critical of her. I think those interviews hurt her momentum, and with how much the momentum feels like it has already shifted against her that's the last thing she needs right now. I'm not saying this to act like Harris is great at interviews, because I don't think she is, but they always make it sound like she's a disaster, and when you say that enough, people believe it.
  8. Jim Muneco often uploads videos that were once on Youtube. I looked and looked to see if this one already was but can't find another copy. So I will post this one: @DramatistDreamer This is another episode focused in part on Craig's "death" aftermath so I thought it might interest you.
  9. I saw some Frank Luntz interview going around where he claimed that Harris lost all momentum when she began focusing on Trump rather than herself. He's hugely biased, but this shift is one of the reasons I keep going back to 2016. I am not sure how much choice she entirely has - when she tried to focus on herself, her answers were ignored or picked apart. As long as Trump is running, focus will always go to him. Still, it does make me uneasy that so much focus goes to Trump. He becomes the enemy people know, alongside how idolized he is by half the country. That makes it very difficult for Harris to find a case for voters if they aren't repulsed by Trump.
  10. MSNBC is tagged as liberal due to a few hosts but is just as right wing and corporate as Faux News and CNN. After hearing about Anderson Cooper's questions to Kamala Harris tonight, including a tsk-tsk about tax increases on people who make more than 500K, I wish Democrats were in a position to ice out cable news altogether.
  11. You had to be made of strong stuff to watch AMC in 2001. I remember wondering if they were going to try to pair Bianca with him as she was so heavy in his storyline. (this is also when they hinted at psycho Laura getting involved with Bianca)
  12. I agree Victor is still a bit too sleazy and his redemption was rushed. The show really needs a new male character in his 30s and another in his 50s or 60s. Paul just feels tired to me, and while I don't dislike Leo, he is never going to be an interesting character. Instead, we are getting another twentysomething, even though the group is already poorly written/underwritten. The last thing Holly needs is a new love interest.
  13. I agree - that's why I said the most cynical approach. It's just sickening, playing into the epitome of misogynoir. I don't think that is how most black male voters base their decisions, but I do think a lot of time and money is going into trying to steer to that type of approach (sexist slurs, going on about Harris lying about her race, about being Christian, and so on). It's a win-win for the GOP and their moneymen, because if there is a big movement to Trump, this is what will be cited as the cause, which will lead to even more division among an already breaking coalition of Democratic voters. Some of the comments could be blackfishing, but many seem to be real, albeit some are grifters, or Astead Herndon.
  14. They also said "fall off," which is what makes me wonder just how bad things may be getting. The more I think about this Trump story the more I think they are trying to get their brand dead supporters to flood to the polls in backlash and trying to get Democrats to take the bait. I think they are also trying to turn around the criticism for their deepfakes. https://www.wired.com/story/russian-propaganda-unit-storm-1516-false-tim-walz-sexual-abuse-claims/
  15. End of an era
  16. If it's the one I saw, then the way things are going these days, I doubt it will change anything (as the Hitler story likely won't - these days I think many on the left and the right agree with his views). I saw an NBC article about Democrats who are worried Michigan is going or gone, although they don't give their names. This has been the concern with Michigan for a year now, with Pennsylvania worries only becoming more prominent in recent months. Hopefully things can turn around in time. Chris Cuomo has been trying ever since he was canned from CNN to delve into "both sides both sides both sides" and "can't we all get along." His bitter screed against Kamala at the start gives the game away. Like Nate Silver saying today he thinks Trump will win, that faux-centrist moneymaker set seem sure he is going to win and now they can let their real feelings out.
  17. I've seen a number of black men online say that it's not fair for people to constantly question and criticize their vote (which is one of the reasons many seemed angry over Obama's speech), because many still vote for Democrats, and people just seem to zero in on them while many more Hispanic men vote for Republicans, white women vote for Republicans, etc. And I do wonder if this backlash leads more to support Republicans, along with the other reasons you've given. I also see constant guttural, dehumanizing attacks against Harris from the likes of Judge Joe Brown and Candace Owens, clearly tailored to the most cynical approach possible to get black voters, especially black men. And I do wonder, as much or more than Hillary in 2016, how much there are built-in reasons many won't vote for Harris that they just won't say out loud - although many are clearly comfortable saying them out loud. Another poll came out today showing a big increase in support for Trump among black and Hispanic voters, and I saw comments about MSNBC having propaganda yesterday with black voters who support Trump, so I do think there is going to be a big jump in support. The only issue is exit polls often overcount non-white support for Republican candidates, so we can't take those as reliable.
  18. Sadly, I think Felix is still just a guest character - the actor has said he has a set time on the show. The guest character format is one of the reasons I struggle to connect with the revival as Felix has so much to offer (so does Victor) but will never stay.
  19. I'd like to be included. Thank you for thinking of me.
  20. Someone created this channel months ago, but they've only put up one (partial) episode so far. Not sure if it was already around or not.
  21. Nate Cohn was incredibly thin-skinned in 2022, but even then, he was never this hostile. I think he and that whole polling guru set are unable to shake just how much respect they've lost over the last 4 years.
  22. Thanks. Arizona I think was suited to Biden in ways it won't be for Harris, but hopefully enough moderate Republicans can turn out. There is talk about how well she is or isn't doing with younger voters (Politico warning). Dems see warning signs for Harris with youth vote in Arizona - POLITICO I can see why they wanted to move away from "weird," but they did move too far in the other direction. He has been subjected to extremely ugly personal attacks and smears, many splashed all over Twitter, so I'm glad he got to speak up about the fascist. I am also glad he pointed out what the media won't - how much they now avoid spotlighting JD Vance.
  23. I think Vanessa was there to take Diane's place as an insecure plot mover, in love with men who never would love her. I think someone here mentioned a potential Derek/Vanessa pairing if Marland had stayed. I would have enjoyed that. Derek was just about the ideal guy in the Marland era (any lady should have run a mile from Tony).
