  1. The show has so little interest in black characters (and seemed openly bitter at Trina becoming more popular with fans than they had anticipated), I'm kind of glad they didn't bring back past characters with new actors just to still not do anything with them.
  2. This country is either apathetic to fascism or merrily approve of it. There was an article out today about Venezuelans who are being deported and genuinely believed Trump would never let them be in this situation. They still support him. And of course "the left" is blaming Democrats for not passing DACA. One of these jackasses on Twitter finally admitted they don't even live in the US and never have. The only purpose jaundiced JD Vance has is to be dumped onto social media and preview the next push of extremism. This time it is telling us courts don't matter. This is what America wants, and any of us who don't are just left in the dirt. Anyone who can afford to leave should do so as soon as they can.
  3. "You really think it's time to change the name to 'Beyond the Pale'?"
  4. Such a bizarre decision, especially as I imagine she was very popular with fans. It helps explain why the writing for her seems negative in some of these episodes.
  5. I thought so. I think Don Hastings was in it too, just not with her (wasn't he in a restaurant or bar?).
  6. Thanks for catching that. IMDB is so difficult to correct.
  7. That's very sad. I know how JER valued his priest characters so he must have respected French for him to last the run of the show. I'm sorry to his loved ones but I am glad his struggle is over.
  8. Thanks. I still wonder why Sam never came back in the show's last year. Maybe Wes Ramsey was busy. There's a lot they could have done with Sam, even if I wasn't one of the fans who felt he was the new Michael Zaslow.
  9. Thanks. Feels like a bit of a waste, especially as it seems like they ran out of strong story for Audrey by the point they brought Jim in.
  10. It's a shame the show moved so far away from that (PC tried briefly around 1999 or 2000), but then when you have a cast of 500 you aren't going to focus on patients. I didn't even know about any history with Phil and Audrey as I'm not as vested in old GH as I should be. Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to check out what's available in the episodes.
  11. Thanks. For some reason I thought he had left a few years earlier and after that just popped up every once in a while.
  12. Was Sam just a guest at that point?
  13. Thanks. I didn't know that. I should read the summaries. (apologies for not tagging you either)
  14. The funniest part is I think ABC actually did try to buy Felicia from P&G but they declined. If they had been able to then Robin and Linda likely would have been playing Lorna and Felicia. At least that spared us a world with a later story where Skye kidnapped Lorna and impersonated her.
  15. Alicia Coppola was definitely much more popular. I don't think Robin Christopher was unpopular, but no one really cared a great deal about her time on the show. Her biggest story use was when JFP paired her with John Bolger (and then three all three actors together again on OLTL). The handling of Dano and Christopher at ABC was like working backwards - let's find these old characters, who would never have any ties, and throw them together because ABC viewers were surely glued to AW from 1994-1996.
  16. That would have been such fun. And for news preemptions, a good use of history with Nancy given that she was in the JFK shooting episode (Don Hastings too IIRC).
  17. He's not wrong... We needed Susan Flannery to tap in for that slap.
  18. Loving was still on when the Jamal custody story ended. Those are great ideas, especially bringing Sean back. Maybe he could have been revealed as Steffi's secret father.
  19. @Soapsuds Glenn Scarpelli is briefly in this (and Christian Slater in his first credited role on IMDB) at about 7 minutes. I can see what you all mentioned above about the show seeming very aimless with the writer changeover. This whole thing with Liza looking out for the cereal commercial lookalike kid seems like strike material.
  20. Ava should give some tips to Cody and Sasha. Thanks. I looked just now on a GH wiki and apparently it was mentioned in 2023 - Ava said she still works at Ryan's Bar. This was during the strike period. I'm glad it at least lives on post Cartini wankery.
  21. They seemed to think she was the one who had Audrey's scenes.
  22. Sorry for not tagging you - there were so many I know I forgot a few people.
  23. That's a good point. Until I saw it in a comment on an RH promo a few months ago I had forgotten that Delia is supposed to be Ava's mother. When was that last even mentioned?
  24. I love Linda Dano, but I never understood why Shapiro thought she had such a following that ABC Daytime viewers would want so much of her, in a part that had been on so long ago I can't remember if they were able to find any flashbacks. Then reuniting her with Robin Christopher just for a few years on AW together which I don't think were that iconic for fans. Christopher did have some good moments as Skye on AMC, but that involved her relationships with Stuart and Adam - the former was especially important for me. There was plenty of story for her on AMC, with Hayley, with Edmund, Erica, etc. Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with GH today.
