  2. I think Kate, although at a larger weight, looked pretty good in recent AMC years. That wedding photo to Trevor has always disturbed me - her face in particular. It is of a woman who just seems defeated.
  3. He is not too subtle in how he dismisses the actors he felt weren't strong enough, or unselfish enough. Unfortunately I think that he and Rauch and their choices for those who were unworthy ultimately destroyed the fabric of the show.

  5. You're right about Adam and Erica, although I think initially she was charmed by him. It seemed like Natalie/Adam was more about her relationship with Trevor. I kind of feel like the show just gave up on Natalie some time before Kate Collins left. None of her last few years of stories were in any way about her character.

  8. Yes, but she never actually loved Adam or Palmer, did she? I have not seen a lot of Dimitri/Natalie but I always got the feeling that was just until he got together with Erica.

  11. I think what hurt Collins' position is that she had no "big" pairing (she was very popular with Jeremy, but the show ended that and never looked back), and she did not look her best in some of her last year on the show. And she seemed to lose most of her personality and purpose after the show did the rape story.
  12. What are Santana's weird reactions at the end of this clip? Is she upset...relieved? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ObHOhua_uQ&feature=channel I didn't know GG Santana was still on the show by early 1987. The scene with Brick is nice. What are CC and Sophia doing? Jeffrey seems like a nut, attacking the cop even after Kelly was captured and the man said he'd shoot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAlRYir53h8&feature=relmfu
  13. After they were aged, more of their stories were about fighting over a woman (Cecile), but I think they were still close. I lost interest towards the end of the book, but the best parts for me were when he talked about his relationship with Irna Phillips, and then when he talked about how he got hooked on writing for the characters.
  14. Laken must have been one of the most undeveloped major ingenues ever on a soap, especially since they seemed to keep trying, and failing, to bring her back.
  15. Was Warren still around when Brick was there? Did they interact? The stuff with JW's Warren and Lionel sounds awful. I wish Brick had come back long enough to do another Lily Light and choke a bitch. It's always so tough for me to picture Janis Paige as Minx too. I guess it might have been easier watching in real time, I don't know.
  16. I guess this was done when the Dobsons came back. I guess Warren drastically changed his look before the show ended. I don't like him, especially after reading that he dumped Lionel like yesterday's garbage.
  17. Kind of crass, and strained. For all Madonna's controversies, I'm not sure if anyone has ever put her down as someone who would OD or descend into demons. She always seems to take care of herself.
  18. When Dennis returned to the show briefly in 1989, he and Jamie had a warm greeting, I think. Then in 1991, when Dennis returned for a few years, he had a happy meeting with Jamie, but I'm not sure if that lasted, since Jamie's fiance Marley broke up with him in part to be with Dennis.

  22. I remember reading here, or somewhere, that Andrew Shue became so prominent compared to his early role because he was one of the big fan favorites. I do think they should have written him out after Brooke died. I think that unintentionally hilarious arc where he went "bad" was one of the reasons I lost interest in the show, along with that unfortunate story where Kimberly had DID.
