  1. Thanks. Great interview. I always forget he played Kent on AMC. I think Lee Godart played that role for most of the run didn't he? I wonder if he just magically gained an accent when they replaced Michael? I think the Dreaming Death story came before the story with Jim and Annabelle. I think it was his first on the show.
  2. i guess that was the last time LIAMST was in the top ten.
  3. Thanks. I wonder if in those six months Secret Storm and LOL went down in the ratings or it's just that others went up.

  6. June 1983 Digest. I love what I've seen of Launa Sanders as Marie. I'm sorry she didn't have a happier exit from the show.

Reading in an SOD issue from June 1985, they say Marc Poppell (the first Brady) left to be in the play Forty Deuce, which was supposed to be moved to San Francisco and later made into a movie. He never did go into the play though.
  8. Thanks!! I had no idea Missy had that much story since she wasn't around long. The Delaneys sound so complex. I wonder why they were written out.

  10. I'm not sure if there are that many who love Ron and hate Rand. I don't think that many liberals love Ron anyway. I think his base is more independents or people who have no real affiliation.
  11. I think someone has it in their mind that she is "the new Elsie Tanner" or "the new Bet Lynch." All she does is strut around verbally abusing people and having her head up the ass of a woman she should despise.

  13. Good to see Cory learning about his father's past and trying to process this. Wow, a Remy mention. Good to know she still exists.
  14. Weird seeing Frankie hanging out with Jake...but then, all her friends are dead.
  15. Ugh. Another joke libertarian. Hate first. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/05/rand-paul-says-he-didnt-think-obamas-views-could-get-any-gayer/
  16. It's too bad more people don't remember that about Janine, instead of going on about the Moon brothers, who were annoying but in the long run were not exactly a major part of the show. I do get wary because it seems like when the show is seen as great, the writing for Janine is a mess, although John Yorke had some good stories for her in the early 00's. I just hope they avoid the temptation of going back to her being poor and a pariah and just there to self-destruct and be in the gutter. I think characters have to change sometimes. The refusal to change Bianca from the constant poverty stories has been a disaster, although I realize part of that is down to Patsy leaving so often.
  17. So she and Whitney are still close? I hope Janine gets to keep the baby, and her money. I don't want to see them go back to laughing at her and her being poor. I don't really get the part about how if Kat were there Jean wouldn't be taken advantage of by Michael - I guess that's true, but mostly because it seemed like Kat was the one using Jean.
  18. Oh look, it's that weak version of Silver Kane. There isn't a lot of Silver on Youtube is there? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MbS8LM17cs
  19. These scenes at the start are just awful and hilarious. I don't know how to respond to any of that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haqGjjtrusQ
  20. This is close to what Romney has said for a long time - in 2005 he was disgusted by gay adoption (saying with some horror that married gay couples even had children), and back in the early 90's he was reported to have made anti-gay comments. The real question is who is it who tells him to make quasi-tolerant statements which he clearly does not believe, and who then hurriedly tells him to backtrack? Here is Bay Buchanan, a Romney adviser (which should tell us a lot about him, given her views and the views of her brother Pat), saying that Romney believes children should be adopted by "a mom and a dad" and the rest is up to the states. http://politicaltick...-conservatives/ And yet this article actually spins this as some bold, shocking position. Many voters will vote for someone who is anti-gay, as long as it means they get lower taxes or that some "other" is being punished, not them. So why is Romney even pretending? Aside from some brief comments in Massachusetts (where he had to say these things) he has consistently opposed gay rights, and made a huge career out of this. I hope from now on he's just honest about it. It will get him more votes anyway, I'm sure, and the media will still tell us how moderate he is and what a risk he's taking with those moderate ways. Breitbart, those honest and truthful crusaders, were trying to prove the bias of the bully story - I think they got up to someone not actually witnessing the incident, and the victim's sister saying she knew nothing of it (since brothers tell their sisters everything, of course). I wonder if there are any other "gotcha" statements on the way.
  21. Jean Alexander still unhappy about Corrie. I totally agree with her, although I wonder about the last time she watched Emmerdale. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/319562/The-Street-has-sold-its-soul-to-sex-scandal-and-downright-nastiness/
  22. Thanks. Is it me or did AMC have a ton of those quick and random goodbyes? And not just during writers' strikes. I still have no idea why they never considered bringing her back for the Damon story, but I know that's already been talked to death.
