  1. Interesting election result, although you won't hear about it, since Joe Biden speaking the truth is much more shocking and heinous. Cliff Stearns, who has spent the last few years trying to make himself a big hero for his investigations against the Obama administration, was defeated in his primary, in a huge upset. Guess how much he had sitting in his campaign account? $2 million. http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/national/article1246033.ece
  2. Was Roy the one who stayed around quite a while and was one of the only original cast members left? Or is that someone else? Those articles are interesting. The Sadie story is one that may sound better on paper than onscreen. I hope this Hendrickse is a better actress than the one on Hollyoaks.
  3. Thanks. I'd never seen this either. I love the shoot, aside from the weird face DJ made. It's a good interview. I think they mishandled the Virginia story - she just went too far and it was not entertaining. I hadn't seen the cast photo either. Those "hot" photos of some of the actors don't quite work, especially poor Hank Cheyne wearing those old man looking boxers.

  6. That's also Justin Deas' last episode. For a sendoff, they have him in drag. Craig says you're welcome but to send a message that Hunt Block sucks. I think Lyla passed Margo off as Bart's daughter, not sure if he knew about it (or he may have known and left her).
  7. His father was Bart Montgomery, or something like that. You can see him in this episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icPM8zcNurA&feature=channel&list=UL
  8. Deakins was fired. She was a more tomboyish Lily, a little more spunky. Byrne was the whiny princess.
  9. I saw a Youtube bit where she and Dusty snuck out to a disco. Cheesy but fun.
  10. I'd forgotten Lucy Deakins was still there. The best part of the reception is the singing so many do. And when John put on polka music for the first dance. I just loved it. I don't think I can ever feel that way about a soap again.
  11. I love it! I've seen a good chunk of the wedding and reception but not so many complete episodes. This was a big transition time at ATWT and from what I've seen of the wedding it was superbly done, full of warmth, family, and heart, and history. Everything ATWT stood for. Now I get to angst all over again about low sales. I can't buy right now but whenever there are coupons I definitely will.
  12. Thanks for sharing those.
  13. Leave Andy alone! I finally watched the July 1983 episode that is on Youtube, close to the end for Amanda and Hope. Elvera did a better job with the drunk Hope story than I thought she would have done; I wish they'd kept a darker Hope around instead of banishing her. Did Amanda mention a child at all when she returned in 1995? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-juVDjr-3U
  14. Amy started in Blythe's last months with Emmerdale.
  15. The new opening is terrible. Not only is it very generic, but the perspective on the sets is from such an odd angle it looks like a child running across rooms. And I hate the car commercial jaunt through the woods. I think Gavin Blythe ruined Emmerdale. He took away a lot of the show's heart and pushed his pet characters, very unlikeable, nasty people like Aaron and Amy. He also pushed the "issue" stories which have helped to kill the show. They are very lucky they haven't lost more viewers. I used to hear people say Emmerdale was just a habit show, someone left the TV on in the background, it was the one of the big 3 that no one had expectations for. Sadly, after the last few years, I think they were right.
  16. This is great. Someone has uploaded an ATWT episode from the night Neal Alcott was murdered, which also features Ellie during her very brief return (I never even knew about her return until I read it a month or two ago). And you can see a little of Linda Cook. I wish they hadn't tried to make Neal's death a whodunit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uuesce6afw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Idt2X_lLWQI&feature=channel&list=UL
  17. I had to laugh at Deniz with that "why am I here?" face. I wish they'd give him a good story.
  18. I don't think this was ever mentioned on Loving. On Loving, he left, and then came back briefly for Trisha's 1993 exit. I think he went on Egoli after this. I guess they must have paid Agnes Nixon for the character's name, but it wasn't a part of Loving. He then left Egoli a few years later with a character played by Esta Terblanche. I just wonder if Egoli ever mentioned Jeff's past.
  19. Great twist to have Stacey and Jake together while he had amnesia. I hadn't even thought about that possibility. Since Stacey lost a daughter she'd never abort her child. I like seeing Mitch and Sharlene talk about what Janice became.
  20. I hadn't noticed a resemblance to Anthony Herrera but I will look again. Max, I agree with you that Ryan was probably Romney's best bet at this point - the talk I've heard at sites like TNR is that he probably would have chosen a "safe" VP if he was doing better in the polls. I loathe Tim Pawlenty and have for almost a decade so I'm thrilled he's not going to be VP, especially since he has been Romney's lackey for most of the campaign. Ha ha. What do you think of Romney basically disavowing Ryan's entire plan? It kind of makes picking him less important.
  21. I really loved her as Michelle. I never can see her as an adult without thinking of Michelle. Fortunately for her I'm likely in the minority with that, since she has such a good, solid career.
  22. Thanks for reading. I always like to remember the good times with Jill (and sadly even the weak material she had in 1996-1997 now seems like the good times). I'd love to see those clips too.
  23. I believe so, yes.
