The Doctors Discussion Thread
I just watched and danfling is 100% right - I'd recognize that face and smile anywhere. I wish there was a way to contact Terry Kiser about it, since we know he's still in the industry.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Considering how little airtime Emma got, I'm not sure it would have made a difference having kids on canvas. The most interesting part for me was his talking about the Kim/Bob/Susan story being "aborted." I wonder if they'd planned for Bob and Susan to have more of a real relationship, and to play around with Kim/John.

That's awesome. Good eye. Faith Catlin has a Facebook - someone should go tell her.

The Politics Thread
He won in 2010 even though he was obviously going to be a disaster. I wouldn't be shocked if the same happens again. Of course one of the reasons he won was because his opponent screwed up at a debate... I read that the moderator was trying to claim Crist brought the fan to deliberately throw Scott off. So if the media runs with that, they may make Scott a victim to the public. I guess we'll see.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I've really wanted to see that for a while.

Twin Peaks
I know some of her fans claim the show scapegoats her, so I would assume there's still no love lost. I don't see a reason for Donna, but I do think Moira Kelly would make it work. LFB - she mostly always got through on her smoldering, offbeat looks. It's a shame she destroyed herself the way she did. Meanwhile, here's an example of fan reaction to James: (that's from Tumblr's Twin Peaks confession blog) Maybe they should just say the hell with it and have him as governor now. It's happened before.

Twin Peaks
Marshall sued the makers of Accutane about 5 years ago, claiming it had heavily damaged his health and destroyed his acting career. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Marshall_(actor) James and Donna are probably the only two characters (along with Annie and John Justice Wheeler) that it's cool for fans to hate, so he does get a ton of hate. Frankly, the writing for him in season 2 was atrocious. I will certainly give him another chance, although I will admit to being a little cross that we hear about his return and some of my favorites are still not mentioned as coming back. Trivia note - his wife Renee Griffin played wan Danielle, Serena's aunt, in Port Charles' first six months.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
Casting news. Eh...not too thrilled about this (not the actress - the likely story this will be). http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/10/the-walking-dead-season-5-alexandra.html Spoilers in the comments.

I think there was another Penny too, not long after Prinz. Dawson also played Dee in 1991.

Well it turns out Dee isn't even in the funeral episodes. I don't know if SOC allows updates anymore but someone really should take those July 1986 dates out of her character bio (and I don't remember Dee being in town for Bob and Kim's wedding either, which is also in there) and point out that Vicky Dawson played Dee in her 1986 appearances. As it turns out this is the John reunion with Dee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucSB-_3elpY Looking through these did give me a chance to watch this beautiful Penny/Kim scene for the first time in ages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNT2QA4b1So Considering how infrequently Penny was around in the show's last 40 years, the times we saw her did still suggest a broad, rich character. They repeatedly hinted at marital troubles in some of the years she was offcamera, and even though you don't get that here, you still get so much melancholy and loneliness. I always wonder how Rosemary Prinz felt about having to play all that backstory (Anton, Amy) that she was never a part of. I hope someone will try to interview Rosemary about these types of details at some point, instead of just articles about Irna Philips. She also seems so genuinely devastated in some of the scenes (the clip before this has her crying as Nancy consoles her) - I wonder if she was close to Don McLaughlin.

There's another clip where Dee and John run into each other at the hospital. I couldn't find it in these episodes - it may have aired when Dee returned for a few episodes in summer for Chris' memorial.

The Doctors Discussion Thread
Steve sort of hinted at this in his first scene when he joked to Carolee about having a room with psychedelic lights and purple walls. I wonder if they'll address it any more in 1968, as many always refer to that as the year America burned. I guess they probably won't, since people would have wanted to get away from it. Great catch.

You're right - that is more like the old Nancy and John. Weird. Dawson came back. She returned for Nancy and Chris' anniversary. Some say it's Schultz but someone else told me it was Dawson, and it does look/sound more like her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqDGM4dB2XU (I never knew Dee and Brian had dated) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUTUcUf_XNQ

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
Here's an article on that. http://abcnews.go.com/International/inside-dangerous-mission-rescue-children-colombias-sex-trafficking/story?id=26185510 Speaking of Laurie, apparently some fans thought there was a Walker Andrea in the premiere. http://comicbook.com/2014/10/14/was-that-walker-andrea-in-the-walking-dead-season-5-premiere-/
