A link would be great. I know it's very cool to hate Rita, but I can't imagine Corrie without her. She was a major part of redefining and salvaging the show in the 70s and 80s and Barbara always knew how to play the heartbreak and the rough lines without ever going too far. The part with Thelma sounds great. If only we could see Mavis one last time.

Apparently John Enos was on Gotham last night.

I know she did a fair amount of theater, but I tend to wonder if she was just seen as a loose end and after Marland passed the show moved on.

I watched some of the John Paul/Ste stuff and it doesn't even begin to feel like a romantic relationship. I guess that's the point? John Paul told Lockie that they were carers for each other. I guess Kirkwood just wanted to have a big gay wedding and now he can move on? Kieron's performances are pure camp. I will praise him for giving all his effort, but some of it, like when he tried to stab people with a broken piece of flowerpot, was just awful. (speaking of awful - seeing Youtube comments about how Ste is broken without Brendan because Brendan kept him "safe and alive") I don't know if he's planning JP/Lockie. I assume he is. They have good chemistry, but it will be so forced if it's just another affair. Lockie's a lot of fun. He's also extremely hot. I hope they keep him fun and light and plotting instead of turning him into a psycho or making him too depressing, like they did with Darren. They should have had Lockie sleep with both JP and Ste. Have a threeway relationship between them. He also had good chemistry with Ste.

1968 seemed to be the big year for soaps trying to make even a minimal effort at equality. I may have that 1963 issue somewhere, in scan form.

Do you think Don Stewart objected to Jennifer/Mike? Or did they just drop their relationship to push the mother/daughter triangle with Mark (which I think was a bad idea)? Someone asked me to put those episodes on Youtube. I guess I will learn how to do this someday. (the trial episodes) I know some of them are already on there through the WLS channel.

I can't get past how much Marsha sounds like Ellie. Weird casting. Great cliffhanger. I didn't know Nevins had known he had HIV. He's just total scum. I kind of wish his ending had just been rotting in prison rather than having him break out and Tom killing him. I wonder if they were originally planning to pair Angel up with that cute guy at the Earl Mitchell Center. I liked Seth and Seth/Angel well enough but I think this guy would have been healthier for her.
