  1. Yeah I only use the blog to get info about schedule changes and what-not. I may actually look at the boards once a week or so. Just too crazy over there these days.
  2. Absolutely. In regards to Morgan, it seemed like a true personality clash, whereas Filerman was just awful. Interesting how the writer characterized the first season as Lane-focused and the second season as Constance-focused. It's been over ten years since I've seen the show, but I honestly don't remember it feeling focused on either woman more than the other. The first season was especially balanced.
  3. Wow, that is some very good stuff! I don't think I've ever read any first-person accounts of what making the show was like, but it all makes sense to me. Sad that she and Morgan didn't get along, though. "Could It Be Love" had to have been sung a thousand times on the show.
  4. What Buckwild tragedy??? I hope my girl Ms. No Booty is all right!
  5. Lol you're welcome! I'll try to see if I can find other posts. SitcomsOnline. I posted there for a good eight or so years, but I refuse to partake in any of that fuckery ever again. Y'all think SOC is bad? Shooooo.....
  6. I would have totally watched them together on that night! Even if the LHOTP was full of Laura and Almanzo mush. I wonder how FR would have faired if paired up with Little House. LH was without a doubt NBC's biggest hit at the time, even if it was winding down. If they'd moved Flamingo Road to Mondays in January 1982, maybe it could have been granted another season. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for a DVD release.
  7. Bruce Boxleitner is a regular on Hallmark Channel's Cedar Cove, which returns for a second season next Sunday.
  8. It was mostly because the YouTube channel that was posting the daily episodes suddenly stopped uploading them, but yes, it was also a time issue. Thankfully, since it's summer and the show will be on Hulu, neither one of those problems will be relevant this go-round. I did watch an episode of Corrie on Hulu yesterday with no problem (...well, except for the fact that it was Corrie), so hopefully it streams Neighbours with no issue. Care to give us a little heads up on what to expect?
  9. Last time I checked, Hulu streams both Corrie and Hollyoaks. I really dislike working with Hulu, so I haven't really tried to watch them there. I did enjoy Neighbours when I watched a bit of it a few months ago, so I might give it another go. And yeah, it was definitely on Oxygen ten years ago with episodes from 1999.
  10. I can't with Lis being messy as hell lol
  11. Someone had some scattered episodes up on YT about two months ago, and I only glanced at them not thinking they'd be taken down so soon, but I have to say...the season 4 premiere "A Brand New Day" began with one of THE best sequences I've ever seen on a primetime soap. It recaps Karen and Val walking in on Gary and Abby, Val packing her suitcase and leaving the cul-de-sac and Gary running after her before fading into a shot of Val jogging on the beach while the most delicious underscore plays. WHY don't we have more seasons on DVD again?
  12. I feel like any attempt at a Todd/Nick friendship now would just lead to Todd developing obsessive feelings for the street's supposed resident hunk. It would probably end with Todd being carted off on charges. Todd, IMO, should be written as sort of a modern version of what/who Ken was in the early years. Intelligent, a bit naive, "better" than his working class roots but not entirely ashamed of them, drawn to what's "out there" but comforted by home, etc. He should definitely be dating guys from outside of the street. I might watch a clip or two to see my boo David looking sexy, tho
  13. The hackjob that's been done on Todd is the key reason why I'm sticking with 1976 episodes from Granada+ vs. watching the current eps.
  14. Rita Cosby.
  15. And now I have a reason to watch.
  16. What if Ricki Lake joined the show? Her attempt at another solo talk show was a failure, but I think she could have success in the panel format.
  17. The general consensus is that the organ version of La Lumiere was 1970-1974 and the orchestral version was 1974-1975. It's possible that switch occurred in 1973, though, as ATWT and AW orchestrated their music that year.
  18. This song plays in the clothing store where I work, and we ALL thought it was just plain horrible for a long long time (mainly because of the last minute or so), but it's grown so much on me, and now I love it for its uniqueness. I love watching her do it live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS7dtw6lREo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N3kwQysWak I legitimately want to learn how to "yiddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-doody-do" that.
  19. I've been watching some scattered classic episodes, and good god, Maggie Clegg's wedding was one of the best episodes of this show. Nothing MAJOR happened besides the wedding, but it was just perfect classic Corrie goodness.
  20. Jeebus, that's a lot of people for one family on this show. A family that's still new, at that.
  21. I LOVE NEW ORLEANS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0StwM-YDNc
  22. Okay, so I finished the second season on Saturday. I'll be trying to get the third season soon. I LOVE this show. The first 10 episodes were kinda slow and confusing, but things finally got together for the second season, and I'm hooked. I still like some shows better than GoT, but it's definitely one of "my" shows now. I think the #1 thing I appreciate about it is that it is much, much more like the old primetime soaps than many of the shows that are marketed as such are. I love that there isn't an overhyped season-long mystery that fizzles out at the end of each run, and I love that it is truly a continuing story that just builds and builds with different storylines and different characters doing their own thing. I know most of you will have reason to disagree with this, but this show is a soap, and it's a damn good one. I won't bore yall with my thoughts on stuff from two seasons ago, but I'll say that my fave characters will probably always be Catelyn, Robb, Danaerys, and Ygritte. I used to love Melisandre for her psychotic devotion to Stannis, but then they got Renley killed. I also love to hate Joffrey as opposed to just hating him.
  23. Here for ALL the bitches 'cause you know this thing is gonna be MESSSSAYYY.
  24. Oh my god, I am DEAD at Emily watching Breaking Bad lol I had no idea they slipped that in there, and of course, Eileen played Emily's oblivion to perfection. Love it. What I do NOT love is this clip I've found of Maria walking in on Marcus and Todd having sex. Once I get past Todd's fugly haircut, I'm stuck on why they brought him back just to have him forcing himself on a man who's in a relationship with a woman. Not that Marcus and Maria should even be together, and yes, Charlie Condou continues to be all kinds of adorable, but STILL. Todd deserves better.
  25. My mother picked up American Beauty one day at Target and said "This looks like something we could watch together, huh?" I just said "Nooooooo."
