  1. Liam's leaving the show, too.
  2. Is it wrong that I'm happier you hate Sarah than like Brooke? I've never wanted to see a character get put in her place as bad as Sarah. Rachel came close the other day. I just wish someone would make her life hell. And at least with Ula you have people like Vinnie and Nicole reassuring the audience that she's not always in the right. Everyone lays down at Sarah's feet and it makes me puke. And speaking of people I hate, I like Boyd, except when he's looking down his nose at Brooke. He good use a swift slap, too. Didn't Maya end up going psycho?
  3. He looks great in that photoshoot and I was happy to see him looks so good as for a while there he looked rough. Betheny Joy Lenz (ex-Michelle Bauer, The Guiding Light) will have a recurring role on the upcoming last season of Dexter.
  4. Next week preview! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8NEsbP9gsU&feature=youtu.be
  5. I'm going to need Brooke and Vasa to hang out a hell of a lot more. And I'm so excited that Brooke is now going to try to seduce Boyd for his money. She was already the best character on the show and now this just amplifies her perfection. Thank God we won't have to deal with a naive Bella trying to become a painter. I love the ditz, but it's good to see she's not that stupid. And I love hearing about the old Nicole in this episode. I wonder if Brooke's pursuit of Boyd will somehow/eventually make her fall back to her party girl ways. I sure hope so!
  6. This classic dance song randomly popped into my head while I was eating lunch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbQCf8F1JsE
  7. Is that Joan Bennet after the Quint and Nola picture? I never knew she was on this show.
  8. Another trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=p4iljcuzjG8
  9. Rick Porter was also Hank Tobin #2 on Days of Our Lives from December 13, 1989 - March 5, 1990. Hank Tobin was J.J. Bagwood's brother. J.J. is the biological mother of Justin and Adrienne's twins, Joey and Victor. Hank began working for Adrienne's construction company. Anjelica soon plotted to use Hank to help put the company out of business, leading to Hank arranging to blow up a building with Adrienne inside. At the last minute, Hank had a changed of heart and tried to save her, but they were both caught in the explosion. Hank died before he could tell the truth about who was responsible for the building collapse.
  10. Ruby and Sinead were bullies, not the evil incarnate. Ruby was always shown to be driven by her insecurity and Sinead as a way to lash out because of her contemptible boyfriend and severly misguided belief that she was being harmless (as she was always a bitch from the onset) until the deaths of Maddie, Jono and Neil and Bart's departure, where both blamed Esther for ruining their lives. Sinead has still been shown to be in disbelief about the true consquences of her actions and that is a thread that will clearly be picked up when Esther returns to the fold after a much needed break from the canvas, like they do in every storyline. A reformed Tilly has also had a break as well. Plus, Sinead's sympathies only lie with Cindy, which makes complete sense and was wonderful character building for both, while, of course, Ruby was forgiven by her family and has struggled to make things right, especially by being the one to prove that she, Maddie and Sinead were responsible. It's no mistake that Ruby, who has been genuinely mortified by her actions and done all she could to right her tremendous wrong has hopes of having the life she once did, while Sinead still has absolutely no future and is still living in turmoil. As for Ste, he never changed from being a decent guy and caring father, but he was always a miscreant, while before Kirkwood returned he was basically written as Suzi home-maker with Doug and it was appalling. Kirkwood is getting back to who these characters are, not just Ste, but also Jacqui, Darren, Nancy and Cindy, which got lost along the way since he left the show. And Kevin and Maxine have been a huge highlight of the show. I don't see where you have a problem with their acting, but that gripe can only be subjective.
  11. I don't agree with most of that, but I'll leave it there regardless.
  12. Near the beginning of this year, I cut out watching all the soaps except for Shorty and HO and I'm pretty happy with that decision. Not one of EE's plots at the moment have me intrigued enough catch glimpses of online and the Sharon story is just upsetting and annoying to read. Newman has been around for a while now and still hasn't begun a water cooler SL this show needs. And they seriously need to realize that Kat and Alfie's return has been absolutely wretched from beginning to end. The biggest problem being that Kat isn't fun anymore. She's supposed to be witty and sarcastically bitchy, but all she ever does is look like she's about to slit her wrists. That is not Kat. I hope this new family comes in to own the Vic. That place desperately needs new blood. As for Shirley, hanging on to her after the Heather story wrapped was always going to be a mistake. The character has reached her limit. The powers that be need to create a new era for this show now as everything and everyone just seem tired. Ava and Dexter are good starts to this.
  13. Psh. Hollyoaks was the best soap of 2012 (out of any country) and has been absolutely fantastic since Riley's death. Kirkwood's had his hand on the show again since the mini bus crash episodes which killed Rhys, Maddie, Jono and Neil. JP's return was all him and his one night stand with Brendan was instantly regretted and I thought and good way to reintroduce him and was also a way to bring up who Ste used to be before Brendan. Plus, his break up with Craig seemed completely plausible and very in character. As for Kevin, there is nothing at all wrong with him. He's a great new addition to the show and the actor's wonderful rapport with Maxine was basically instant. I figure Kirkwood will give him the Ste treatment and he'll go to jail for a few months before coming back to town.
  14. The infamous Liza with a 'z' cover ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv4YTlvFPtc
  15. I think I'll start posting the next week preview for Shorty here (as long as it's uploaded, of course!) Maybe (hopefully) it'll gain more interest in this show here. Anything's possible ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4nWVDn0cdE
  16. One of those I always have to sing out my heart to when it plays on shuffle ... Stars - Barricade http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhYvnB1aCBE
  17. I only started watching in August, the Bree storyline hooking me in, and until Zac raped Roimata she was basically window dressing. As for Sarah, I hate, hate, hate her and TK is the worst actor on the show.
  18. Things are getting very messy with Roimata and Kylie. Evan is not what it takes to get the perfection that is Vinnie. The actor playing Evan is doing at great job with this SL so far. Superstitiously, I have no idea how Roimata could be into Josh when she has TK. He fills out a pair of jeans like nobody's business. But he is such a square, like Sarah, I don't see why them boring bitches ever divorced.
  19. After watching Semi Precious Weapons What's in My Bag? I had to check out this beautiful band. Smog - To Be of Use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxotlNxaSDk
  20. Ted falling down the stairs on the first episode never made sense to me anyway. Good to see that myth debunked.
  21. I really like the pace of the Boyd / Nicole relationship so far. I never would have thought to put them together, but they do have loads of chemistry. Kylie / Evan has me cringing. I like the story, of course, but it is hard to watch because you know it's going to go completely wrong sooner rather than later. And Roimata now deciding to have a baby to feel connected to TK again? And her strange relationship with Josh. I can't not watch this all go to hell. LoL
  22. Brooke is the love of my life. I could watch her all day. So many of the women are so complex on this show. Brooke, Rachel and Vasa being chief among them. I already miss Lana.
  23. Yay, another Shorty fan. My favourite characters are listed in my signature. I've seen a lot of video of the Joey serial killer story. I wish I could have seen Rachel in her heydey.
  24. Michael Moon is like THE Brendan Brady of EastEnders to me. I utterly despised him at first, but quickly grew to love him and now will miss him terribly. I guess him and Janine won't be getting back together. LoL
