It's hard for me to like Rodney knowing what a vile piece of sh*t Ryan O'Neal has always been.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
Some potential good news, though it is pure speculation. There are rumours circulating that Jennifer Metcalfe's exit will only be temporary, kind of like Jorgie Porter's, saying she's only taking about a six month break before returning. Metcalfe hasn't ever sounded like she's putting Hollyoaks to bed like Gemma Merna, and it would explain why Metcalfe has never gotten a formal departure announcement, as any news of her exit was always thrown in with Merna's permanent exit and the new McQueens. This could just be pure hogwash, but I obviously want it to be completely true. Hollyoaks needs this bitch.

I would agree he's not a huge loss in the grand scheme of things, but I instantly warmed up to him and will miss him a lot. They should have never gotten rid of Gary Lucy.

I'm at the point where David Canary has appeared and am blown away by how attractive and fit he was, especially as he always read old to me from his time on AMC.

Goodbye, Carmel. I'll miss you, but it definitely was your time to go. The latest stunt was the disappointment I knew it would be. It felt like they were just going through all the motions. No stunt will ever top the mini bus crash of 2012, anyway. The only real exciting part was Tuesday's episode when Sonny almost threw Theresa off the moving train.

Kerry absolutely kills me. From today's show; "I haven't washed in three days. I'm not dedicated." And from a couple weeks ago, planning to crash Kirin's party, she downs a glass of milk at the cafe, "If I vomit now, it's not for lack of trying." Emmerdale constantly proving they have the best scriptwriters.

I really hoping this new interest in Esther's character isn't just a red herring and that he's finally becoming invested in her. Jazmine Franks proved with the bullying story that she can handle big plots. If she dies during this killer story, I will be livid. Kirkwood has done enough damage to Frankie's family.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
The article certainly alludes to the fact that both Grimshaw brothers will play a big part in her return. Unfortunately, I don't like reading that she's going to be causing trouble for Gail. I never saw any of her original stint, but it sounded like it could be out of character, from the bits I've read about her. As for Todd's current story, I think it happens next week.

I enjoyed him using Reg Cox as an alias, too. However, Dot referring to him as a kind, old man? No. Everyone always thought of him as a complete bastard, just like she was always nothing but a nuisance. I hate that the show has forgotten that. I don't even want to fathom on why someone could hate the character of Charlie, though I know you always have a knack for these things, Carl. At least I have the beautiful man in your avatar to look at while reading such stretches. I'll just enjoy him while I can, because it's clear the actor is meant for bigger and better things sooner rather than later. He is also a part of DTC's wonderful revitalization of Ronnie, even if the coupling could give you whiplash. Though saying that, I always enjoyed Sam Womack's performances as a damaged woman through the baby switch and killing Carl White, immensely.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
It's still early days, but I think Ryan Hawley has been a great Robert Sugden so far. It helps that he looks like he could be related to Karl Davies and is easily sold as the image of a farmer's son, who always wanted better for himself. More than that, I am quickly falling for Chrisse, his finacée, as well. I can't wait to see her more immersed in the village. On another note, with it looking like Laurel could be becoming an alcoholic (yes please!), is it too much to ask that she accidentally kill Marlon somehow? Basically, anyway I can see for the show to get rid of "that piece of rope" ©Doug Potts, I will happily take. He's become even more unbearable since Donna's passing, if that's even possible. Speaking of deadwood, the show needs to hurry up and realize that the lesbians are boring as hell and no one cares about their stupid story. Not to mention that the actress who plays Ruby is horribly bland, forgettable and always looks like a drowned rat. Ruby leaving last week should have been her exit, but no, the show must torture me. At least I got to see Ross beat the sh*t out of Aaron this week. That was nice and completely necessary. Thankfully, they have seemed to quickly resolve their little "fued" as well, so I have one less reason to see Aaron try and play hard man.

He already admitted that he is bi-sexual. Someone isn't paying attention.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I still love the actors and characters, but I think a very necessary story should be why John Paul is so desperate for love that he stays with people like Ste and Craig, even though they constantly screw him over and break his heart. The only reason he isn't still with Craig is because Craig abandoned him. The only healthy relationship he's had was with Kieron (RIP!).- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
It was great to see Amy again and sporting her long hair. Unfortunately, she looks poised to be killed off so Ste can have the kids permanently. That's just my speculation for now, but Kirkwood is predictable and kill happy more than even a US head scribe, so when it happens I'll never forgive him for it. I'll just fanwank that Amy and Josh have finally reunited and they're touring the world with Josh's band that includes Michaela, who has reunited with Zak.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
Aaron Fontaine (Sonny) was already absolutely gorgeous, but now he's coming at me with scruff and I can not deal. He may be a horrible actor, and will probably die soon, but his pretty is basically obstacle proof.- Twin Peaks
This is still so strange to read that it's happening. Carl, I echo your sentiments about Bobby. He was my favourite character next to Audrey and I loved it when they were put into each others orbits in season two. I guess I'm in the minority, but I remember finding the Norma amnesia story to be entertaining and I literally must be the only person that had no problem with the James story with whatshername. Unfortunately, I watched the show in 2008 so my memory is pretty fuzzy on a lot of the story. A re-watch will be mandatory when the return date draws near. You guys remembering all these intricacies is blowing my mind.- The Classic Film Thread
I just watched Trader Horn, one of those films I've wanted to see for years because it was nominated for Best Picture at the 4th Academy Awards. The plot is exceedingly thin, ridiculous and really should only be watched by film enthusiasts. The only captivating parts, other than the truly horrible acting and the "HEY!, that's C. AUBREY SMITH" scene, are watching the wildlife. It is during these points where you see two Natives killed during filming. It's continuously sickening that you could almost instantly tell that they starved the lions to do their bidding because their ribs are in full view. The film being two hours was not kind.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I love this show for having Nicola taking Robert's virginity be a story beat to his re-introduction. I wish I could find that on YouTube. - Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
