Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
It is part of her back-story. Her horrible mother, Mel, is a prostitute which led her to run away and a get. Her rapist was shown on-screen very briefly as Doctor Browning's boss, where she saw Mercedes go into a car with him and was horrified. She's only told a few people ... Jacqui, Rhys (the man Cindy has been hallucinating), Lacey Kane, George and Robbie all know. I'm not sure who else, if anyone, does though.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
Today was such a great episode. I've never seen the scene where Darren can't hug/touch Nancy because she has yet to be examined in a rape story before, even if it was only attempted rape. Putting Phoebe in the episode was a good move, because even though it wasn't mentioned you could see it in her face that it brought the horrible memory of her own rape back. The scene where Nancy had to admit she had slept with someone that wasn't her husband the day before in case Rick's DNA showed up was very well written as well. And though Finn is a completely vile character, the actor is fantastic. If this show completely centered around Ashley Taylor Dawson's Darren and Jessica Fox's Nancy, I would still watch everyday. The two best actors on the show and the two most underrated actors in soap.

She's a recast who is only around for a guest arc. She and Finn (played by different and extremely horrible actors) had a baby in 2010 when they were both 14. Amber (the mother) and her family (brother and mother, who used to be with Tony), were quickly written out along with Finn for being complete failures.

I'd rank Tony near the very bottom in sexiness of all the men currently on the show (sans Tom or Jack for obvious reasons), but at least I won't have to fight you heifers for my Darren. One of the few characters I really stan for, against all odds. And going even further, Ashley Taylor Dawson is my number one hottest guy ever next to Matthew Wolfenden, Nick Youngquest, Mike Vogel and Tyrese as my top 5. Sorry for sounding like a fanboi there, but I get carried away sometimes.

No, don't go. We need to keep these threads alive. Okay, I disagree with you about a lot ... I don't know how you liked Sam and Danny. They were the most pathetic characters I've ever seen on this show. Both were horrible self-righteous remorseless pieces of crap and they deserved to die. I noticed when mentioning Fraser, you never brought up Grace. I'm going to take that to mean you, like everybody else that watches this show, including me, thinks she's dead weight. The actress brings nothing likable to the role. One of the most boring bitch type characters I've ever seen. Mercedes was my queen first, so you're going to have to join the queue. You don't like Cindy and Holly? That's just completely blasphemous. I don't even understand. This story is the best one on the show right now. At least you also enjoy John Paul and Ste as well. Their characters should not have worked with each other at all, and it was obvious they would be paired when John Paul returned, but they surprisingly have a great chemistry that really works. The abuse story has been one of the best, but the aftermath has been lame so far. And in case you didn't know, Patrick and the hot guy from Natalie Imbruglia's Torn music video are one and the same! As for Tony being the sexiest man on the show, you're not even close. Darren/Ashley Taylor Dawson is the sexiest man in soap, worldwide!

The Taylor Swift Thread
Her music isn't an issue for me because I rarely listen to mainstream music, but what I love about Taylor is that she always looks like a star, dressed immaculately. I appreciate that.

Shortland Street
The death of Sarah Potts is trending on Twitter in NZ. I may not have been her biggest fan, but she was one of the most popular and longest running characters on the show. A part of me will actually miss her presence. And, at least, she gave Brooke the time of day more than most people. With both of TK's wives dying in less than a year, it'll be interesting to see where they go with him now. God, I love this show so much. It must be said.

Holy !@#$%^&*], Sarah is actually dead! I don't even know what to think right now. In total shock.

I'm just going to ignore your unfathomable Ross/Michael Parr hate.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
Seeing Sinead with George and Esther the past couple days made me remember how likable she used to be. And the twist with her and Ste sleeping together, presumably, and the horror on Ste's face when he realized was hilarious and amazing. I also hope today was the beginning of a new story for Esther. Though I fear she's only being padded up now to be killed off in another one of Kirkwood's stunts. Hopefully, I'm wrong.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Donna's exit episode was fantastic. Her whole return is easily the best soap story of the year. Brilliant soap. I'm going to miss her so much. Verity Rushworth was on point every single day.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I agree with both your sentiments on Victoria. She hasn't gotten a story since Daz left, who I would love to see return. Still, yesterday's episode was a great Sugden moment and at least this way she has a been a very strong supporting character. I like think they are just waiting. For what, I don't know. I'm more surprised the super talented Isabel Hodgins hasn't quit, yet. I hope she never does.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Kelvin Fletcher was great today. And it was so nice to get some quality Andy/Victoria/Diane scenes.- Shortland Street
Beth Allen made me tear up a bit on Friday's episode. Love her so much.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I have such mixed emotions about this upcoming week. Donna's exit is going to be must watch TV, as the whole brilliant storyline has been so far. But then we also have that smug git, Aaron, forced upon us as well. It's going to be hell having to sit through Aaron be some sort of guidance guru to Adam and whatever else they have planned for him will surely make me want to wretch. The only way to make up for his return will be if they actually write for his friendship with Victoria, which they are probably way too scared to do because it proves how much of a mistake it was to make Aaron gay with all the chemistry they share.- Shortland Street
I wish more soaps would do what SS did today with no caring that TK and Sarah got engaged, again. Brilliant.- HBO: Game of Thrones
A very adorable video with famed YouTuber, Casper Lee, and Maisie Williams, that was uploaded last week.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I had guessed that Sam would be in the car crash, but since I try to stay spolier free (and still fail at times), I didn't know she'd die and was shocked that Danny died as well. Sam could have been a strong character, but they made her so pathetic when she found out about Danny and John Paul's affair. However, it's for the best that we are rid of Danny Lomax, one of the most unsympathetic piece of crap characters I ever had the displeasure of watching. Of course, this just adds to Bryan Kirkwood's obnoxious amount of characters he's killed off. The Lomax sisters all impressed in this episode.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
It was revealed she was going to die pretty early on in her return. I agree with you about most of the Dingles over populating the show, but the Donna story (which ends next week ) has been my one of my favourites of the year in soapdom. Verity Rushworth has owned so awesomely.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Just read that Declan Bennett is gay. I never would have guessed. - What Are You Listening To?
