What I find most interesting about Blessing is that she still has male genitalia. I hope they go through the beats of playing that part of a trans' journey and don't rush through it. Was Haley a full trans when she premiered or did she still have yet to undergo surgery? I am enjoying all the storylines for the most part. It's more two actors, Charlie Clapham, who acts like he's in a panto every episode and Tamara Wall, who is the most lifeless bitch character I ever had the displeasure of watching. Sinead was also a bitter pill to watch with her loud mouth agony every single episode. Pitting her against Finn was a smart move in making me want to watch her again. And I also don't think Ziggy / Leela work because it's clear Kirkwood has big plans for her, but Ziggy should never be more than a supporting character. Hopefully this new Cameron character (the father of Peri) will make her more must see for me because I enjoyed her more on Emmerdale and that wasn't even much of a role. Danny is also a completely unsympathetic douchebag. As for the best story, I think that's easily Patrick's abuse of Maxine. I don't know how she was on Corrie, but she basically has to cry as much as Sinead did and I never once get tired of her. Her portrayal is so heartbreaking every time that I always want more. The latest twist of her almost running away with Dodger only for her plans at happiness to be scuppered was just tragic. With the death of Katy, I rarely felt that. However, probably helped by my bias of Dodger with Texas, though I want Maxine to be happy, I haven't ever felt that they were some great love story. Ste and JP have also had great build up so far. As soon as it was announced he was returning it was inevitable that something may happen with them eventually, but I'm happily surprised to see how well they really work together. Unfortunately, his involvement with Grace brings Ste down because she's such an awful harbinger of suckitude. I also like Sonny, but him and Carmel are forced. Practically as soon as he arrived he was in love with her. No weirdness with him being Calvin's brother was ever played on and his bullying of JP was swept under the rug with one line by Mercedes advising JP to get over it. Terrible. I'm not excited by the prospect of more new McQueens being created either. Seems a cheap way to make an instant connection that will probably barely be built on. I hate that Kirkwood is so family happy and less friends are the family you choose. Everyone is so scattered around without any strong bonds like Jess/Zac/Zoe/Kris had. The house that Dennis owns should have that, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the halls apartment did.

I hated her at first, the memories of her maybe one episode on EE scarred me so severely, plus she was too flakey and ungrateful, but this trans story has been helped and the truth is already out, so it thankfully didn't drag. I can't see her ever becoming some huge favourite of mine though. And I wonder if she'll be like Vincent and leave once the story is over, especially with Dennis leaving in the fall. Of course, Vincent was a horrible, horrible disaster. The worst HO actor of all time next to Liberty Savage.

I don't have any problem saying Lindsey Coulson is the best actor this show has ever had. I'm glad David got to leace with some self respect this time and not as a deadbeat. I like to imagine he'll find Janine and they'll have some wicked fun together (platonically). And I think Bianca was necessary to be in the episode. I wanted a goodbye scene between them and I got it. David and Carol are probably as close as this show is ever going to get to the chemistry of Den and Angie. No other couple is even remotely up to par.

To be fair, Holly should be the princess of Chester regardless.

Is it wrong that I still don't hate Holly for her lie? As long as it doesn't last too long, I'll refrain from putting her on my [!@#$%^&*] list. Either way, I hope we get Sienna on her ass. It was great to see her back to being so possessive of Dodger again, too. Keep a bit of that crazy girl! I got spoiled by accident regarding Cindy's next story and I fear what exactly happens that triggers her It doesn't seem like too much of a stretch either considering she did throw herself down the stairs to kill Holly once upon a time. And Nikki Sanderson deserves some sort of award. She's so good at being gut punched in every damn episode.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
That Ian/Carol scene was really good. And Sharon apologizing to Ian was one of those moments where you could feel the writers apologizing to the audience, too. I never stopped loving her, but that still felt good to see. David and Carol break my heart with the quickness. As soap children go, I really like Rebecca so far and want to see more of her.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
How was Verity Rushworth as Donna in her first run? I ask because she has been such a breath of fresh air on the show. Not only does she always knock it out of the park, but her and Ross are hot as hell. Girl is smart to get on that as her last ride. I feel so bad that any writer ever paired her with the horrible Marlon? Why waste such a babe on that ugly mug? Sandy whizzing around in his scooter with those goggles he wears always cracks me up. I love him so much. Diane is trying to kill Annie Sugden. Why else would she invite Debbie downer to visit her with kids? True evil.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I hate that little pipsqueak, too. Luckily, he just got suspended from the show. A small justice.- Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
So happy Tracy wasn't the killer. But what a waste to 1) Not to get a goodbye scene with David and 2) Carla never got to confront her. That's bull.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Why do they have to break my David and Carol loving heart? Great soap and completely unexpected way to keep their journey tragic. But f*ck. They also popped out another unannounced return (short term) tonight. Were any of you a fan of hers before? This is my first time seeing her. And in news that warms the cockles of my cold heart, Dexter has been suspended from the show for a few months, just like Fatboy. #smalljustice- Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
TINA: The only thing that confuses me is how you find the time to be a complete and utter bitch. TRACY: I set my alarm early. ... and then after Tina tells her to get stuffed ... TRACY: You really are in the wrong line of work. I mean, you're about as good at this barmaid lark as your dad was at swimming! Sometimes bitchTracy just makes my day complete.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
The most shocking scene in soap opera history finally happened ... Debbie and David actually spoke to each other. I truly never thought it was possible. I am floored.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Yes, he is, which is why I hate myself for sympathizing with him today. Jake Wood is too good. Still, I yearn for the day he bangs the wrong woman and gets himself castrated. Peter and Lauren referring to him as a dirty old pervert was right on the money. I wonder if the writers would ever go down the sex addict route with him because they need to do something if I'm ever to believe in him having a real relationship with someone.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Thanks for posting. How fascinating to hear Annie talk about Jacob, how he was a good man, but a bad husband. Having watched the first two volumes from the DVDs, when they were posted on YT, Annie is everything I want in a matriarchal figure.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I really like the twist of Donna using Ross. I hope she treats herself to him. She deserves a break and he's so hot. The guy Finn with is hard to watch, physically. He looks like an alien. So happy Charity ended up having that abortion and now she'll blame Megan for the "miscarriage" I'm sure. Can't wait. The bitch has still got it.- Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
It's the end of the world ... ITV finally made a good promo!- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Such an underrated show. It'll be good to see him again.- HBO: Game of Thrones
Did anyone else want Lysa to wise up right at the last minute and push Littlefinger instead? I'll always love Aiden Gillen for my favourite movie, Buddy Boy, but when Littlefinger gets his comeuppance, assuming he does, it better be glorious. (Please, no one spoil if he does or not!!!) What happened to Michael Huisman? He did not look like that on Treme. Yum. Oberyn has so quickly turned into one of my favourite characters ever. I have to watch everything he does and says, explicitly. I'm also happy Loras wasn't who Cersei chose to fight for her. It would've meant the end, presumably, and I don't want him to go yet.- HBO: Game of Thrones
My advice? Watch faster. Also, my comment you quoted was about Dany's brother, not Joffrey.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I have no idea who Callum Monks is, but if the Sam Strike is any indication, we'll have no problem since Strike is absolutely perfect. That sounds hyperbolic, but I don't care.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Bianca better be leaving with her kids, and that especially includes Whitney. It's too bad she can't take Dexter with her, too! LoL- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
That sucks the big one. He's my favourite male character on the show. This only makes those speculations that Carol will succumb to her cancer even stronger, and if that happens I will be gutted.- Shortland Street
I'm excited! Emma is a definite favourite. This story seems likes it's going to be a good one. He'll probably do something big during the feature episode. They do one of those every year, right? As for today, I really hate Harry. The pretentiousness, the cockiness, the braces (LoL). If any kid ever needed to get decked ... And see, Ula is already back having a story with Garett, who's a brand new sight for sore eyes.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
After today's episode, I had no idea Shirley left her infant son to die. I was never a fan of hers and now I have even more reason to hate her. Dean tearing a strip off her was great. - Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
