Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
He is so full of it. Erika's story will be a major focus, but I don't anticipate it'll make her likable or that SHE will give us what we want. This episode was interesting. I will say, while I do ride for Eboni, I hate her friendship with Leah and it causes me to side eye her a bit. I hated seeing her on WWHL talking mess about Heather who tried so hard to be empathetic to her. I feel like that's all down to her friendship with Leah. Heather ain't perfect and she definitely messed up calling Eboni articulate (which she's owned up to on social media), but she was riding for Eboni and working overtime to get the other ladies to listen to her. Leah was silent. People complained last week that Heather didn't speak up enough, but I feel she more than made up for that this week. Sonja is a superstar. I love when she has these moments of calmness. At her core she's a nice person and you see that with Eboni. Luann was typical Luann and gave what I expected. I feel like she said the right things EVENTUALLY, but really didn't care. Now onto the main event, I loved everybody's outfits. Heather HANDLED Leah with ease. I think Eboni was messy going to Leah with what Heather said when Eboni admitted when Leah left the room that she agreed with Heather. I don't get Eboni's loyalty to Leah when Leah has never publicly defended her against the other girls. Leah worked for The Federalist which couldn't be more right wing and she's made it clear time and time again she doesn't care about black people and their issues. How is this the girl you riding with when you're a social justice warrior? Next week looks good! I'm glad they're finally going back New York. BTW, based on the timeline Bershan should appear either next week or the following week. The first known filming for her was November 2nd at Ramona's apartment and next week covers November 4th so she's on the way finally.

Shows you were wish that were streaming
Season two is missing around 5-6 episodes and they’re mostly intact through season five. After that most seasons are missing around 10 episodes. The final season is especially hit hard. The series finale isn’t even streaming! It’s odd because we know the music issue, but the show was re-scored for DVD and those are the versions streaming. They’ve never given a clear answer why so many episodes are missing.

I was happy to see. Clooney back to give Carol (and Doug) the send off they deserved. I was fine with her leaving to meet him off screen but it was a nice touch to actually see him as well. I think Carol really suffered in that final season without him. The timing of their relationship being fine and her having the babies left her so down for most of the season. Season 7 is a strong season so far. I like that Carol was written out before the season finale so they could devote that to the new ensemble. They finally allowed Luca to be human by having him let that gunman die which is giving you some insight into his past. As season 7 developed he’s more interesting now that he’s developing relationships with the cast and is written less as a mythical savior. The Abby character is one my opinion changed on in record time. I liked the vibe she was bringing and then they threw everything out the window by making her quit medical school to become a nurse again. I could deal with that, but then they pile on a bi polar mother played by Sally Field AND a brooding romance with Luca. It is too much. When I see her I just feel drained. The story with her mother is giving me flashbacks to Susan with her sister. The difference is that Susan could at least distract you by being a competent doctor and resilient woman, but Abby seems like a dark cloud follows her. I hope they pull back and balance this out for her. I love that they’re allowing Weaver to be more playful and showing us more about her personal life. Until Dave spend an episode asking everybody about it, I hadn’t realized we didn’t know why Weaver has a limp. I was disappointed that he was too afraid to ask when she confronted him so we still don’t know what’s going on there. I also loved the episode where the little kid was afraid of her because of her cane. Now she seems to be toying with a lesbian relationship which I wasn’t expecting, but I’m okay with. Eric La Salle remains a standout. Dr. Cleo works as a love interest for him, but still isn’t much of a character on her own. Same with Dr. Dave who is more annoying every time I see him. The episode where he joked around while they worked on the black man who got shot was disgusting. Then later on when Benton’s nephew got shot and he thought it was “just another gangbanger” broke my heart for Benton. I will say, I’m glad the play these stereotypes and use main characters or do it. Especially characters who aren’t necessarily villains. These biases exist and they show them in a real way. Dr. Greene finally has his brain tumor. This is something I do remember from the press as a very long and very depressing exit. So far I’m enjoying it. The one curious thing is that I don’t really understand how he fell in love with Dr. Corday. I watched it, but I don’t understand it. Somehow now that they’re together and she’s engaged it works, but they’re such an odd couple. I also find it odd they keep playing the chemistry with Peter which only makes Cleo and Mark look inferior. The only characters I don’t think I’ve hit are Carter and Chen. For Carter I’ll say that Lucy didn’t die in vain because I did enjoy his drug addiction and him slowly rebuilding trust at work. Chen’s sudden pregnancy I feel was rushed. We didn’t get enough time to even see that she was pregnant. Then you have Morris Chestnut as the baby daddy and barely feature him?! Giving up the baby was a bold choice, but I feel this could’ve been a season long arc, not something wrapped up in 5-6 episodes. I hope this doesn’t mean Ming Na will be sidelined because when they give her something to do she kills it.

YR/BB actress possibly back at B&B
Basically if I recall correctly they just said it was her sister, the Sarah Smythe character and I think some was pinned on Sugar as well. I don't remember exactly, but I do recall it was very believable and the perfect setup for Sheila to be properly back without the baggage of a bunch of crimes on her. It's a shame they didn't do anything with her because it really was the perfect reintroduction. I wish they'd have a long term story planned for her.

Married to Medicine
From what Heavenly and Funky Dineva have said, Quad is very difficult to work with behind the scenes. Plus the past 2-3 seasons she was checked out and barely wanted to film with the ladies because she had Sister Circle. I think she needed to be demoted because she felt too safe. I bet she ain't acting up now lol! Funky Dineva did a video ages ago where he mentioned that Quad asked if he should take her friend contract and he convinced her to do it because "some money is better than no money."

I loved that story because we got to see Jeanie fight back and win and also Weaver finally got to see she wasn’t as perfect as she thought she was. I loved how in over her head she was with that job. It was definitely karma and has seems to humble here. Right now I am halfway through season 6. I had to take a break after Lucy’s death. I knew it would happen but didn’t know when and it took me by surprise. Those two episodes were some of the best tv I have ever seen. The cast and crew definitely came to work. I went to do some research afterwards and found lots of good interviews about that story. Apparently the story at the time was that Kelli Martin quit because the role was too depressing, but looking at the EW retrospective posted a few pages back she makes it clear she was fired. I’m also convinced Noah Wyle is a total [!@#$%^&*]. I’d read a blind item on Crazy Days and Nights that he’s secretly the real reason Sherry Springfield quit because he was harassing her and now based on his own words I wouldn’t be surprised if that was true. To EW Wyle said that he regrets how poorly he treated Kelli Martin. She started the show a week after her sister died so she was obviously in a bad place and him being an ass to her couldn’t have helped. He also mentioned that Lucy and Carter were meant to be a real couple, but he refused to play the story. That’s probably what sealed her fate and it’s a shame because their chemistry was through the roof. Beyond that story, I do think they found their footing as this season went on. I wasn’t impressed with Dave, Luca or Cleo, but Abby and Dr. Chen are welcome additions to the show. Due to my age when I think of ER in its original airing, Maura Tierney is someone who I viewed as the face of ER so it’s nice to see her finally appear. I found it interesting that she has a random guest star role as a nurse before coming back as a med student. I wonder if that was intentional or if they were just impressed with her guest appearance. Dr. Chen has so much more confidence now and her chemistry with Carter is still there. Right now I’m back enjoying the show and am excited to see where things go. My eye is really on Luca because I know he becomes such a vital character, but his introduce is *so* bad. I can’t wait to see how he’s integrated into the canvas. Right now he’s like this mysterious angel who pops up to drop sage wisdom and be handsome. It also doesn’t help that I know this is Carol’s last season and most of his scenes are with her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The Countless seemed very calculated in her comments to Eboni which leads me to believe she was holding a grudge after Eboni defended Sonja when she was attacking her. Before she defended her Luann tried to tell her to be quiet and since Eboni didn’t I think that pissed her off. We know she holds grudges and doesn’t take criticism well. She’s serving season four Luann.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The only person from Basketball Wives who I think should cross over is Cece. She was always more Beverly Hills with her wealth, fashions and her beauty business. Evelyn is just too dangerous and horrible a person. She threw a wine bottle at someones head, among other fights. She is truly insane and not even watchable in a fun villain way. I do think it would be interesting to see her on a show where her best friend isn't the creator/EP, but it wouldn't be worth it. This weeks episode I found pretty hilarious. The show is moving along so nicely. Crystal vs Sutton is the type of feud I love. It's very similar to Carlton and Kyle in that they just don't seem to like each other, nothing super deep about it. I feel Sutton is so nervous around Crystal and so worried to be perceived as racist so she's on edge which is making her implode. She means well, but it is pretty hilarious seeing her lose her mind! I'm so curious to see where this will go and if they'll find common ground as the season progresses. Garcelle is an absolute BOSS this season. She's having a great second season so far, but I notice next week she'll finally bring her dislike for Rinna to the main group and I think from this point on she's going to be having problems. The coven loves Rinna and aren't going to like Garcelle holding her accountable. I'm so excited to see her entire arc this season. She seems so confident, authentic and ready to play this crazy housewives game. She's having one of the best second seasons I've seen. Typically it doesn't go this well, but Garcelle is proving everyone wrong.

@VeeWHAT?! Gloria Reuben left to sing back up for Tina Turner?! That is wild! I feel like the original cast got paid so much it probably made it easier to decide to leave to follow passions like that. I love that for her. Interesting to learn La Salle killed the Benton/Corday pairing. Their chemistry was pretty remarkable and it was nice seeing him evenly matched with someone. With Luca I think the reason I haven’t taken to him is because of the Carol stuff. He already feels like he’s there to fill the void of George Clooney’s exit and Carol is heavily pregnant with his kids so it’s hard of invest in this. I’ll be happy when he’s on to something else. I know he lasts forever so I imagine the character is good, but not the greatest introduction. Im just happy my Queen Weaver is still kicking ass. This is the one ER character I’d never heard of and I am so in love with her. They are very slowly introducing more of her personal life with us learning she is adopted and Carter living with her. Im excited for when it’s her turn to get a meaty personal story.

Okay season 5 was excellent. I loved the additions of Corday and Lucy, the perfect examples of how to bring new characters onto an existing show. They complimented Benton and Carter so well. I'm not sure why they didn't go ahead with the romance with Carter and Lucy since most of his non-doctor love interests are dull as dirt. Now fast forward to season six and I'm starting to see the cracks. I HATE that they wrote Jeannie off. I feel she had gone through so much and had so much life left in her. I also found it very interesting that they made her an important part to George Clooney's exit since they never interacted much. To go from all that screentime to being written off was confusing for me. It's almost as if they brought on Michael Michele and felt they had their quota of black women. Speaking of Michael Michele, I find the new season six characters to be typical of a later hit. You can definitely tell looks are an important part of the casting. So far I'm not impressed with Luca, Cleo or this annoying Dave character. The loss of Jerry and Dr. Ross is leaving a huge void on this show. I know Jerry is a background character, but he added a lot to the texture of the storylines and Clooney was such a huge presence and had chemistry with everybody so his sudden exit feels incomplete. Mark and Carol in particular are suffering. I wouldn't say the show is *bad* in season six, but the grit is gone as is much of what made the show unique. It's becoming more of what you'd expect from a #1 show on a network, i.e. more generic and safe for a large audience.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sheree and Brandi went from house to house because they're broke. What Jen is doing, which seems different to me, is specifically renting a house just for filming. If she comes back for a third season she'd likely do the same thing all over again and I don't think she needs to. Her husband makes good money and the current rental is fine. Not every HW needs to be super wealthy. Before I dig into RHONY, here's a clip from next week: Side Note: How the hell is Heather repeatedly *so* nice to Leah and she ends up fighting with her? It's just wild to me. Watching this episode and this clip, Heather has such good chemistry with these ladies, including Leah. It's so weird that it didn't end up working out. Especially when you consider that Heather and Dorinda are close. Had Leah been thinking long term, she could've been in a power group with Dorinda, Heather and Eboni that could challenge the OGs. Now onto Luann vs Eboni....this was a lot more than I expected. I knew they had an issue, but I expected it to be a lot more minor than this. Leah posted on Instagram that Eboni is going to be off social media for the next few weeks because this story is going to pick up and she doesn't want to deal with the toxicity of the audience. Considering how many racist comments I've seen tonight, I do not blame her. Luann is someone who holds grudges and she was pissed when Eboni spoke up in defense of Sonja last week. She even warned her to check herself, but Eboni still spoke up for Sonja. The moment she did that it was a wrap for Eboni. Luann took Eboni's education comment the wrong way because she was already upset with her. It upset me so much that Luann kept pushing the "angry" narrative on Eboni and was smirking while she did it. We KNOW what she was trying to do. Eboni was loud in that conversation yes, but it was only because literally everybody was screaming at her and it was the only way she could be heard. The fact that Luann threw her out of the house and tried to scold her about her behavior was shocking. I'm not sure where this will go, but I'm not a fan of Luann right now. She's done so many racist and classist things over the years and I feel she always gets a pass. Ramona is rude and socially awkward, but what Luann does is deliberate and I wish fans would hold her accountable the same way they do Ramona. With next week likely being our last Heather episode, I hope Bershan is waiting in the wings soon after. I feel that is going to help Eboni a lot. I just hate seeing these black women left out to dry by themselves without anybody who understands them. Kudos to Heather and Sonja for trying to understand where Eboni was coming from and not joining in. I was shocked at Sonja in the best way possible. Also, here's an interview with Heather about her return. She mentions she would come back, but would likely only do it if Leah left.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Jen was back in the press because she tried to do an illegal go fund me to raise $2.5 million for her legal defense. It was pulled within a day. She also got busted moving out of her rental property for filming into a more modest hike. To me fair, the new place looks fine. It’s $6000 a month and is much smaller, but I don’t understand how you can be a housewife and rent a house every year for the show. That’s just bizarre to me. Your fashions/car isn’t enough? I just don’t get it.

GH May 2021 Discussion
I agree. I enjoy GH but I have no illusions about what they’re doing. From the moment she was announced I knew not to hope for more than we get. Like you said, she’s a psycho day player and will be gone soon. Same with speculating who actors will play. You know it’ll be random so why mention all these logical choices that make sense for the characters? I just go with the ride.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Please watch these ridiculous interviews! Lisa Rinna is insane to me. She said that after their episode one sit down she thought her issues with Garcelle were resolved. She said Garcelle talks behind her back all season and didn’t tell her they had an issue. Did y’all not see episode 2?! She’s lying! She even said in her confessional that she was happy Garcelle was honest with her! Then Dorit says that she gets into it with Garcelle and that Garcelle is the fakest person in the cast. What?! I feel like these girls must be banding together to come against her because it doesn’t wash with what we’ve seen. Rinna has also been liking racist tweets saying Garcelle is pulling the race card. I’m not liking what I’m seeing. My eyes will be on Rinna and Dorit this season!

A Different World (TV Series)
Debbie Allen has said they've tried to do it, but Bill Cosby won't allow his name to be taken off and nobody wants to touch a reboot that says "Created by Bill Cosby." I wonder if they couldn't just put that in the end credits where it isn't noticeable. I do agree this show is overdue for a reboot.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think it's DVR and streaming too. I noticed Bravo now has the episodes on their app with commercials. That's additional revenue, as well as when they post on YouTube. I don't often look at the delayed ratings because their harder to find for cable, but I did see some a while back and for example, Salt Lake City was averaging 1.2 million viewers and Married To Medicine (which gets 700,000-800,000 live) was averaging 1 million. That explains why SLC got that early renewal and was labeled a hit by Bravo. On the flip side, RHOC is on hiatus so obviously despite averaging 1 million in live viewers, they likely dropped a lot in delayed viewing and streaming which is why Bravo has the show on hiatus. I personally think RHOA, RHONY and RHOBH are all going to be fine once delayed viewing is factored in. The live ratings aren't *that* bad and the seasons are entertaining so I can't imagine why people would be tuning out in droves.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This is spot on. Leah should be confident in being herself on camera. That would probably be enough. It’s hard to imagine considering 5 episodes usually takes *at least* a month of filming in other shows, but the first 5 episodes will literally take place during the first two weeks of filming for RHONY. So this Hamptons trip is only week two and Leah is trying so hard. If she would chill and be herself she’d be fine. In other news, RHOBH premiere ratings are out! They debuted lower than RHONY.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This was a good episode, but it proved this needs to be Leah’s last season. She just doesn’t fit in and nobody seems to care enough to even fight with her. She is truly useless. Also, did y’all see Leah seething when Eboni was getting along with Heather?! I feel like that’s also why she went off on Ramona. Leah is not Eboni’s friend. You can tell she resents that Eboni fits in. In contrast, Heather fit right in and that felt like classic RHONY. Like Eboni said, they had their fight and moved on. I was also happy to see Eboni comment that Heather is actually asking about her life. Heather seamlessly slipped in there and one thing I do love is that she does seem genuinely interested in the ladies and their lives. I mean who else would take a Sonja Morgan toaster oven seriously? We also got to see shades of old school hateful Luann. I cannot wait to see her with Eboni next week. I believe this was episode 4 and so much has happened. Not only that, but we’re about to be on episode 5 which is still in the Hamptons. This is better than they’re given credit for. To keep taking one day of filming and getting a full episode out of it is very impressive. I don’t think people realize just how many days of filming it takes or one episode on some of these other shows. The vets have a certain magic on RHONY.

2021 Daytime Emmys
She’s there bc people recognized her name. Her acting hasn’t even been good on GH. I hope she doesn’t steal the aware from more deserving people in her category. I’d give it to Cady. On Twitter people are mad GH has so many noms and the Bell soaps don’t, but GH really knocked it out of the park last year so I’m not surprised. The Bell soaps were so painfully slow and boring that they’re lucky to have gotten any nominations.

It makes me sad that Leah ran her off because Heather fits in *so* well. I’m also glad they gave her confessionals so she can flesh her brief story out. We were so robbed! I feel like this return is going to be amazing. Heather isn’t afraid of conflict and she’s going to give us fireworks while she’s around!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This looks good! I loved that moment with Wendy and Gizelle. It was so obvious that she was only friends with Wendy as a way to isolate Monique. Not surprised it has blown up. Also not surprised that Candiace is still…Candiace. She’s the only one I’m not looking forward to. Excited to see Queen Karen and Ashley as well! Im very curious about the other newbie. Twitter is saying that she is very strong and almost was moved up to full time. I love that we didn’t see her which means lots of hopefully juicy stuff they aren’t showing us! Im excited for a season that isn’t completely spoiled like last year.

GH May 2021 Discussion
The Sean tribute was excellent, but why just a tribute? Why is the show so afraid of their history on a day-to-day basis? We all complain when a new actor comes on and would be perfect as a legacy character connected to the current cast, but they always make it a newbie with a confusing backstory. Sometimes less is more and they have a rich history to mine as this showed. Also, it shouldn’t take a tribute to use these vets in meaningful ways. I’m not saying they need to be on all the time, but be smart about it. When you do have them, give them something meaningful to do.

I know it’s popular to dislike LVP, but as a dog lover this looks really good! I already have Peacock so I’ll watch.
