  1. Oh wow! That is quite the find. I'd love a DVD release one day that included that and those five episodes of Return To Peyton Place as bonus features. It will never happen, but there is a ton of stuff out there to do a massive complete collection for this show. Is it safe to assume Peyton Place 79 was a remake meant for primetime? I kinda get that feel since they didn't attempt to bring back any old cast members, but it does look like the characters are older than the start of the series. It's so close to Murder In Peyton Place that I'm surprised they didn't attempt to bring any old actors back. Probably would've been easier to sell.
  2. Yeah they'll have to try and rush season four, but why did they start filming so soon? They started half way through the airing of season 3. They gave themselves no time to assess what was working and what wasn't working. Also, they should've added a couple housewives because I do see this family drama getting old. I wonder how they will handle Jacquline not going to the season 3 reunion due to things that happened season FOUR. Which means she also might not be available for publicity and what not for season 4 lol. It's confusing! I also don't believe that they are finished filming so they should have time to go a different direction for the second half of the season. Maybe it's time to make Kim D a full housewife since they always feature her. I just need something other than this family drama.
  3. I didn't know how it would work watching Passions since NBC has always been the network I had the most difficulty with. Port Charles was the first soap I watched regularly and I still couldn't manage to keep watching that from the beginning. With Passions however, I'm hooked and can't get enough. It's a total success and I'm thankful that I decided to start collecting it. Right now I'm in the middle of October of the first year and the stories are well formed and the cast is really strong. Unlike so many soaps, they mostly got it right in terms of characters that can carry the show for years and years. I like that they didn't cram everything into that first month and are now branching out and introducing story for characters like Eve, Julian, Simone and Ivy. Also things aren't going nearly as slow as I know they become. It's still slow, but it's very similar to the Bill Bell pacing I'm used to. The show is also VERY traditional soap which I wasn't expecting. By the time it was on DirecTV the show was truly a parody of a soap. I enjoyed it, but I do see that the family connections were missing. I find it VERY interesting that Simone is the one who originally spots Chad, yet I know Whitney ends up with him. When I first started watching I recall Simone being the evil little sister who was jealous of Chad and Whitney, but now I see that was her man! LOL! The original Simone is truly fabulous. Kay too. Just a dynamic duo and it's so sad neither continued acting. Going back to Chad, I wonder why Eve immediately was so worried about him. Strange when you consider how many years it took for the story to be revealed. Something hilarious, I had completely forgotten about Eve and Julian and they were one of my favorite couples. Ivy was having a party with the Russell's and the Bennett's and when Eve and Julian met they revealed that they had a secret past. I don't know how I completely blacked out on that lol. I look forward to seeing what the first sweeps period brings! I have up to either June or July 2000 and I think I'm ready to get more episodes. It seems like I have so far to go.
  4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Brandi. She's funny and does seem like a nice, entertaining person . I know she's probably a mess, but I think she'd make a good replacement for Taylor next season. I also love that she doesn't seem to be backing down. If you look at the promos and her first episode, I do see her doing anything I see people doing things to her. She's reacting. I don't consider her a bitch for that. I consider the other women bitches for not even trying. Lisa I understand, but Kyle? And TWO FACED TAYLOR? Taylor is sick. I can't wait to watch Brandi take these hoes down.
  5. I thought Martha was going to be part of the cast this season because shekept tweeting about a New Jersey HW surprise. Now I realized that must've meant she was just friends with one of the wives. I wonder who. Kathy? Would be brilliant if they DID add her. Radar has an article saying they were casting new wives and that casting is complete. Hmm.... I wonder how the Jersey reunion will be considering they're already deep filming the next season. So confusing!
  6. ATL is back November 6th. Replacing NJ. Promo: HTTP://WWW.BRAVOTV.COM/THE-REAL-HOUSEWIVES-OF-ATLANTA/SEASON-4/VIDEOS/THE-ATLANTA-HOUSEWIVES-ARE-BACK Maybe it's just me, but that looks very uneventful for what you know will be a long season. Maybe they should've tested out a couple new housewives to spice things up. Marlo, the rumored new HW didn't even get a "friend of the housewives" picture or anything, so my guess is that she's a bust. Hopefully that was just a teaser. Kandi looks amazing though!
  7. Still am upset about the loss of Alex, but we'll see who they cast for the new wives.
  8. If Cat joins I'd like Alex to remain since Alex and Cat are friends. In fact, I want Alex to stay regardless. I just think since they're going for money ala Beverly Hills she was let go. I don't think it had anything to do with her. It's a shame because she's grown so much over the years and is one of my favorite housewives.
  9. I like that the fireworks seem to be starting at the beginning. It shows how versatile the season will be. I also wonder how things will change once Brandi arrives. She'll first appear in episode 4, but I thought it was later initially. I wonder if she got bumped up an episode or two due to the Taylor stuff.
  10. Well those ratings are typical Beverly Hills numbers. It makes me sick that people go on and on about how big the show is, but it's ratings were never blockbuster, thats why everyone was shocked with the premiere ratings. It was lower rated than DC (which got cancelled...) until the last few episodes when it started building as the show got more exiciting. It's ratings then were on par with New York, but not the huge ratings of ATL or Jersey. Another reason I wish DC was given another chance. It was a good show that would've been easy to revamp without Michaele and it's ratings were good.
  11. You mean the show lost 600,000 viewers or thats how many viewers they got? If that's how many viewers they got it's kinda shocking. I will say, Bravo needs to step up promotion. THey dropped it completely when the Russell thing happened which I think hurt them badly. Once the promo is back in order (and Watch What Happened Live returns!!) I'm sure it'll be okay. The show is brilliant this year! Cowgirl Kim was killing me. I'm living for her this season. She was so obviously on something the past episode and I was so shocekd that nobody mentioned it. You could see individual looks on peoples faces, but nobody acknowledged it with each other lol. I was shocked to see Paul mention it the next episode. And then episode 4 we have Brandi's arrival! So much happening so soon. Also, what do yall think of the rumor that Michaele Salahi has been kidnapped? They make it extremely hard for us to believe. Especially since in this case Michaele contacted police and said that she was fine, just having family problems (presumably with Tareq). If it's another stunt, this is the lowest of low.
  12. Yes, but I believe Bryan Kirkwood wrote Hollyoaks Later that year. I thought Hollyoaks was still very watchable at that point. I tried early on for Marquesses, but haven't seen any of his fully developed stuff or the new person in charge. Never sounds interesting when I look online.
  13. Yeah I'm not reading much that inspires me to work. Honestly, I don't even recall Lucy Allen being that horrific. I liked that she at least was the same tone as Kirkwood, she just told dull stories mostly.
  14. Oh wow. A character I actually know lol. I didn't realize Rae survived so many writing changes. I'm kinda curious to see how the show is now. I may start with Later and go from there.
  15. I hear that Hollyoaks Later had a very graphic murder. Who got kileld and how?
  16. New Jersey feels soooooooooooo long this season. Too many episodes for women who really don't have much going on. I can't wait for the reunion and for it to be done. With family interactions its only so far you can go. And because they're family, the drama will only go so far. Next season they need at least two new wives who aren't related AT ALL.
  17. Tanya was also busy during the fight. She was googling hoodrat lol. Let's not forget!
  18. This is sooooooooo much better than the Miami show. I'm loving it. Miami needs to step it up next season. There better be a lot of fights because it was getting extremely dull. I can't watch 13 episodes of them having cocktails and talking about nothing, which is all there is without the fights on that show. Imani is a total judgemental bitch and I'm completely turned off. She was quiet in episode one, but she's proven herself to be ignorant. Her reaction to Tanya and Draya was over the top, especially with Tanya. They are all pretty stupid in that regard though. It's not Tanya's job to break up a fight with two overgrown women. If they wanna be ghetto and ignorant, let them. I wouldn't have gotten up and I'm a man. That's shameful behavior and those women were given more of a pass than Tanya. It seems like they were harder on her simply bc they view her as different and different is bad to ignorant people.
  19. Oh this show was much better than Miami. It didn't seem as phony, they seem to actually have storylines worth watching. I also liked the diversity of the cast and it looks interesting overall, for the good and the bad. I only actively disliked Laura, who frankly deserved to get what she got from Malaysia. She was trying to be in with the crowd, but went about it the wrong way and it backfired. Jackie was also a total bitch, but she's going to be entertaining to watch. I LOVED Imani, Tanya (she is kooky, but not mean spirited, these girls are horrible to her) and Kimsha. Definitely looking forward to more of this cast.
  20. Taylor is sick! Not surprisingly she tried to sell her story to the tabloids and is currently discussing an interview with Bravo for cash. Of course it makes sense for Bravo to address it, but in this manner? Not surprising, as her tagline for season 2 says, "I fought too hard for this zip code to go home now." I wonder if they'll keep that now.... Full Article: http://www.realitytea.com/2011/08/26/report-taylor-armstrongs-rep-shopped-story-to-media-for-100000-plus-her-persuit-of-fame-sit-down-with-bravo/
  21. I thought she looked younger on Texas than she did on AW, but still a very aging style. She looked absolutely beautiful in these pictures though. Another reason I'd love to see this show. Such a talented cast.
  22. Julie Parrish looks so strange in those last pictures as Betty. I recall Barbara Parkins wearing outfits like that towards the end, but it's still jarring. I need to see her in action to truly judge.
  23. Another good example is Alexis' husband Jim. He didn't like the way he was portrayed, so he reduced the amount of time he filmed during their second season. Russell was on the show because he wanted to be on the show. Whether it was for his own financial gain or for his wife, it was his choice and Bravo or us fans shouldn't be blamed.
  24. Hard to believe Bravo could get sued successfully. Last season Taylor came off poorly herself, so it's not like they were favoring her. Early report suggested she clashed with lots of cast members and was coming off as the villain for season two. Plus, Russell has no way of knowing how Bravo was going to portray him. He knew how season one went and decided to film the second season. He also approved of having filmed therapy sessions. That's all his choice. I don't see how Bravo did anything to him. Other husbands have asked not to be filmed (or to keep it at a minimum) and that request has been granted. It was his choice to do the show and he had waaaaaaaaaaaay too much going on in his life to successfully argue Bravo caused this.
  25. The LA wives look a hot mess. Hot Mess. As for Tami vs Meeka, honestly, as someone who personally knows Tami, I'm still team Meeka here. I liked Meeka as well as Tami, but Tami was clearly in the wrong and deserves to be sued. Meeka was a gossip, but so are all of them. The show doesn't have any natural real life situations. They simply meet for lunch or drinks and constantly talk about their storylines and only their storylines. It's nothing like the Bravo HWs series. I found Meeka interesting enough to keep on and I think vh1 should keep both of them. Tami is locked into a multi-year contract and can't do anything. Let's get real... Going back to LA, I can't wait to see the first promo so we can have an idea of how those women will be. I'm very curious about their day-to-day fashions considering how horrendous they look in the promo pic all dressed up.
