There has been this guy on Ryan's Hope who is very irritating so I decided to look him up and it's Trent Jones who writes for Y&R! He plays sexy rock star whose trying to steal Jillian from Frank. The only problem is....he's not even remotely realistic as a sexy rock star. His hair is curled like the woman from Mama's Family, his clothes are awful, etc., but he is a good actor. If he were playing a nerdy/normal type of person, I would enjoy him better.

Now I wonder how he looks now.

How can you not love this?! :P

Yikes, his character irritates me. He's much better as a writer than as an actor. I wonder what he looks like now, too.

Coincidentally, Richard Backus - aka Ken George's confidant and manager Barry Ryan - has also written for several soaps. He was on the writing staff of One Life to Live for several years until Dena Higley arrived.

Hmm....interesting move. From what I've heard of her, she's alright. Not as good as Griffith, but not as bad as Heller.

So we finally know Griffith's replacement. I wonder who Sheffer's replacement will be (could be RCulliton if he's coming as an associate head writer).

That's cool then. :) It sucks that Griffith is gone, but it's nice to hear that his replacement is good at least.

I think Cuilton is Hogan's replacement. It'd be nice if he were a co-HW or associate HW. Was Hogan a breakdown writer for the show??

Maybe ATWT can nab C. Cuillton back on the show as a co-HW. She was great when she and Hogan were HWs together.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
