On FB someone was rebuttal a post slamming that former poster D*nna. I missed the original post. What was their deal? I know everyone here hated her. Was it because of their know-it-all personality. I know they spread rumors and personal information about actors. She seemed really knowledgeable, especially of Another World. After reading that defense of her on FB, I really want to know the details from the other side.

Y&R: June 2026 Spoilers

On BTG, this is a political event for Martin's campaign. Vernon invited Victor to be the keynote speaker for the campaign event. Martin wanted to invite Kyle Abbott (supposedly Martin and Kyle knew each other in the past in New York). I'm not sure why Jack and Diane are there, but I missed a lot of key BTG scenes leading up to this. I'm sure someone will know.

Months ago, Devon had been talking about signing Anita to a record deal or something, so there will possibly be scenes about that?

Bill & Hayley have NOTHING going on beside sex. The whole setup was filled with holes.
I've come to accept that as the show asking us to suspend our disbelief.
Other things were way more laughable. Like 'Val' and 'Sammy' meeting in front of that brick wall (...), Val going 'I just wanted to show you my new look! 🥰' and Sammy: 'BTW I wanted to give you your new ID, coincidentally the picture matches your new look!'.
'Val' considering Joey as a mark was stupid beyond words, because who would consider the town's mobster (his reputation precedes him and any sleuthing) for a scam?!

When she walked in on Ashley and Greyson, she was smirking. And again she was not listening to Jacob. I cannot stand her.

I disagree. The green screen looked very good and I'm glad V&V weren't meeting at Uptown. I don't know what you guys are expecting exactly.

That's what I'm hoping given the bland, vanilla actor who was cast!

I think having cop characters mixes things up, a break from all the whole collar business folks. Otherwise you have b&b.. no cops, medical doctors (until recently with Finn) or lawyers. I guess Carter is technically a lawyer but that show doesn't do crime stories).

I always thought the parallels between GL and AW were interesting. Both shows were basically gutted of vets in the early 80s and kinda staggered along for two decades, constantly failing. AW was way worse at this than GL. It's a wonder that Margaret dePriest didn't have a hw stint at GL.

What happened to Pamela (Cady McClain)?

It honestly just feels like they wanted Cady and had no real plan or care for how they wrote the character. She’s besties with Dani but completely absent for most of her most important events? We don’t even get little things like I just got off the phone with Pamela.

I completely agree. It could even have made Dani and Pamela's bond stronger had Smitty been her son, since they'd be related in some way, with Martin as Dani's nephew. Plus, whenever there is conflict in Martin/Smitty's relationship, it could put a stink in Dani/Pamela's friendship. Otherwise, as it stands, Pamela is some southern nobody that fans have no attachment to.
I do wonder if the show can rewrite it so Pamela can still be Smitty's mom in some way; otherwise, no idea why she's even around. Considering other shows have rewritten worse, I'm sure it can be done if the writers want to.

ALL: Love in the Afternoon, and Evening: New Soap Opera Book

Halfway through, my two big take away--is I LOVE the attention paid to the costume designers, something I had never thought about at all.
And also, the chapter on reboots completely ignores the AMC and OLTL reboots (which I am a huge defender of) so I was disappointed in that... (I mean, yeah, I knew the Dallas reboot sucked...)
