Just the way he and Ashley interacted on Monday's episode makes me think Derek is going to be the one to suffer an untimely ending (hopefully as a hero saving everyone).

Even if I would have felt that it was rushed...I agree about February for the cotillion. Then perhaps this plasma storyline could have gotten more meat. I would have loved more Donnell and Deanna though I do like Ty and Sam. It's just sad how under-developed they have become after both having nice small teen stories to start off with.

And THAT'S another thing. The plasma storyline might (big MIGHT) have worked better if it was going on at the free clinic. Which of course means an ACTUAL SET. I could see that completely. I don't feel Derek outside of the undercover part of the story is too bad. He is still in the story. NOW if there was a set for the story...then yeah it would be more glaring. I thought it was just an attempt to capitalize on the Jacob/Smitty team-up that worked so well last year as well as give Jacob a good guy story and Jacob/Naomi some much-needed conflict.

Now if Derek dies now that BG is off contract, you know I hope I'm right about Tomas and AA.

I don't think the plasma storyline has earned the death of Derek or any other character. I'm glad they're pushing the story to a close, but that's mostly because it's so bad. This is supposed to be some grand criminal enterprise, yet we had Max and Grayson stabbed and Jacob beaten...because why?

If Derek is offed, you nailed a big problem with story -- no free clinic onscreen, and too little Derek. As I said, the death of Derek has not been earned by this story.

The plasma story is bad, and all this action as it moves to a climax can't cover for a really weak foundation to the entire plot.

On Monday's show, Samantha said the cotillion is "in two days." Of course, we don't know how long it will take to play out the two days before it takes place. I am concerned about pushing all these stories to major movement at the same time.

Is Lynette connected to the plasma plot? If so, that went right over my head. And if she is not connected to the plasma plot, what does Lynette's fate have anything to do with the writing for Lia?? Maybe I'm missing something...

You're not missing anything. No one's saying Lynette's fate is tied to Lia.

My point was that Lynette defrauded Lia of all her money -- so why weren't we presented with a Lynette who had money stashed away? Instead, she hit up Hayley like she was broke.

I remember today they mentioned the name of a woman responsible for the bank frauds, but I didn't pay attention to the name, so did not make the connection to Lynette. Damn...

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but Iast week we learned via Tomas to Kat that Lia was one of Lynette's victims. Kat then took it upon herself to talk to Lia about it to gather more information on Lynette.

A week or two ago (I cant recall with all the breaks). Kat was with Tomas at Uptown doing his own investigation on Lynette and had a photo of one of her victims. Kat recognized the picture as Lia

How do we know she doesnt have money stashed away. Of course she did. Lynette never came across broke. One thing about scammers is that they are always on to the next con. Why spend her money when she has Hayley to pay for things? She had leverage so it made sense that she'd use it bc her stash would eventually run out if she relied on just that

In regards to Lynette and her ability to fleece people. You can be a pro at fleecing people out of their money, but be a moron in regards to how you spend your money. I gather Lynette is all about instant gratification so that money runs out fast so she has to continue to con in order to fund the delusional lifestyle she's become accustomed to. Don't forget that she managed to blackmail Hayley into funding a few of her impulses so I could see her being able to fleece others out of their money.

Randy's got the money and Lynette stashed away. They are pulling a con on Hayley (I hope).

Well since CBS doesn't want to post any new episodes outside of on the app and I ain't app-ing anytime before tomorrow...well...*shrugs* I do appreciate that it has been mentioned in the dialogue with a specific time on the show though so thank you.

I agree with you as well. While I do want movement, I don't think the show can handle major movement all at the same time. Perhaps if the plasma storyline climaxed one week and cotillion the following week, with Hayley exposed the last week of May, but I still think that would be too much and feel like how B&B would get when they wrote a story so slow when it climaxed it felt like whiplash.

Again, WTF is she telling this to Ashley, the most neurotic person that can barely keep her cool? Of course Ashley has a convo about this in the middle of the nurses station and then spills to Smitty what she knows.
