I am trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Kristen's voice. Stacy Haiduk is doing, like... Susan + Scarlett O'Hara + dental work? Today's scenes were insane to listen to.

Until they recast this awful actor who plays Theo, he’s fast forward. Cannot stand him. Other wise, typical dull writing. Kudos to Greg and Peter for making this episode somewhat watchable.

But it's something different for him and I could totally get behind it.

But maybe they should've had Brady reflect on his stupidity, in the aftermath of John's death, and had him make a promise to John that he would try to do better. And be smarter.

Good episode today

The whole plagiarism/Kate and Xander's plan storyline has been a little clunky, but I like the way that it's weaving in so many characters and their individual storylines. And I feel that we're getting a lot of good scenes as a result of it, especially today.

It was nice to finally see Marlena finally get involved in all of this too. She's been too separated from her grandson for too long. She should have always had a bigger part in Johnny's storylines. It would be a much better way to use Marlena and keep her front and center. I liked the way that she was there for him today.

Johnny, exposing to Roman and Marlena, how Kate set him up was a good scene as well. I wish it had gone on a little longer. Kate lying that she didn't set Johnny up could lead to something interesting happening for all of these characters.

I still don't want a Roman/Marlena reunion though.

I also enjoyed seeing Maggie and Xander go head to head again. I like them together, both as friends and when they're at odds. They both pulled no punches today, and I hope this part of the storyline doesn't get dropped. They should be on the outs as long as Xander/Sarah are lol this is also a good way to use Maggie. Maggie, realizing that Xander laundered money to save Titan and the Kiriakis estate could lead to something interesting happening as well.

As for Philip/Gabi, I guess it's a good thing that she's not freeloading off of Rafe anymore lol I wonder what's going to happen now that they're all living together at the mansion.

And Philip looked hot at the end 😍😍😂

Overall, today's episode was definitely an improvement over yesterday. Things moved at a much better pace and didn't feel like a drag to watch.

Too soon to make any judgments about her acting, but she seemed to play it in a similar way that Marissa Reyes would have. I'm glad that Holly told her everything about Sophia drugging her and asked for her forgiveness. The whole pill thing was unnecessary anyway, and the fact that it's over already proves that even more. Even though I'm glad that Holly and Ari are friends again, I wouldn't mind them being at odds either. But I would much rather it had not involved Sophia.

Speaking of Sophia, she needed to get hit today for the way that she was talking to Marlena. But I liked that Marlena was there for Stephanie, and that Stephanie got to talk to about the trauma that she's had since the kidnapping. I'm interested in seeing how this all plays out for Stephanie and what it could lead to.

Brady/Tate's scenes were nice too. I liked that Brady got to talk about Steve's offer with his son. And that Tate was able to talk about the lack of direction in his own life. They came off like a real father and son. Tate, possibly dropping out of Salem U could lead to something interesting happening for him and everyone around him. I wonder where he'd end up working lol. And hopefully, Brady's plan to get Sophia finally brings her down too.

Kristen was just annoying though. Write her out.

EM's Brady and LH's Tate work well together. EM plays "dad" well, just like his own Days dad, Drake Hogestyn.

But you know Tate is going to wind up CEO of Basic Black within three months. And everyone will act like that's normal.

I do like Brady and Tates relationship, one of the best father/son relationships in daytime.

But due to his inexperience and overall himboness, somebody launches a hostile takeover of the company and it’s up to Tate, Brady, etc. to keep the company afloat and in their own hands.

Based on one episode alone, nü Arianna is an improvement. The nods to their physical differences was cute, too.
