I totally forgot about Cassie, lol.

So did Bo...

I remember being surprised when the show remembered their marriage for one episode in 1997.

Yeah, I tend to agree with Cynthia Watros and Kim Zimmer: there might've been a professional rivalry between the two, but I don't think it was as heated as others have made it out to be. It's kind of like...well, you remember that episode of "The Golden Girls" where Dorothy's best friend, Trudy, came for a visit?

I had heard about tension for decades between them so this thread is a bit of a happy surprise for me that if it was real, it was short-lived and they laughed it off in the end.

To me, Bo Buchanan was like the Ewing men on DALLAS: the kind of woman who suited him best was the kind who could link her arm with his, coo and say, "Yes, Bo; no, Bo; whatever you say, Bo." Nora was nothing like that. She might've impressed him (and Asa) enough with her legal expertise to make her chief legal officer at Buchanan Enterprises, but wife material? No.

I would kill to see that. It is so bizarre watching them speedrun to marriage in '91, but I can understand the new regime playing the hand they were dealt hoping to maximize drama with the Sarah Gordon return (which didn't work out).

IIRC, they are in the diner. Cassie goes to sit with Bo and asks him to give her some info on a case. She is eating some cake. It wasn't long after the Labines took over as headwriter.

I can see why Gottlieb just went with what she was given as I can't imagine her being interested in that relationship. Even if you count the unfortunate daddy issues Cassie started with Jon Russell, the maturity and age difference was serious and not properly addressed.

I wasn't either! Then again, after the stupid Bo/Patrick storyline and Didi's death, I wasn't much interested in anything Bo-related.

Wasn't there some infamous rumor about a dressing room spat/love triangle with Tom Pelphrey, Gina Tognoni and someone else at GL? I don't remember the third person.

I may be way off base---but didn't Pelphrey date Stephanie Gastchet (Tammy)?

It was probably her, yeah.

This is in reference to Nathalie Paulding, not Eden Riegel.

ATWT:

There are any number of rumors swirling around about Colleen Zenk in the '80s, that she did not get along with Hillary Bailey Smith at the time, and that she did not get along with Jacqueline Schultz, the latter allegedly leading to an exit for Ariana Munker, who was tired of their issues. Schultz also left within a few years.

OLTL:

Jessica Tuck and Joe Lando, IIRC, discussed that they did not get along initially. I think Jessica said that when Megan had to slap Jake in a scene she was happy to do it for real.

Clint Ritchie hated BarBara Luna.

There were rumors that HBS and Robert S. Woods had issues for years, to the point where production had to push them hard to agree to let Bo and Nora reunite. They got over their differences.

B&B:

This one was heavily covered by the soap press. Hunter Tylo and Kimberlin Brown were close friends, so much so that they even joked at the time about tabloid speculation that they were lovers. In 1994, Tylo went through an absolutely insane year, including leaving B&B and leaving her husband, Michael Tylo. They later reconciled, with Hunter, IIRC, claiming that while filming a TV-movie she had been bitten by a snake and this caused her to go wild, but her relationship with Kimberlin did not recover as Kimberlin and her husband had sided with Michael during the split. I think there were rumors of restraining orders flying around and bodyguards being hired?

Y&R:

Jeanne Cooper wrote in her memoir, IIRC, about Melody Thomas Scott not speaking to her for a year or more, and she never knew why.

I think some in the cast had issues with Brenda Dickson and Margeurite Ray.

Some also had issues with Victoria Rowell and did not treat her well.

DAYS:

I think Kristain did not get on well with Peter Reckell for a while, but this was nothing in comparison to how she felt about RKK, which is one of the reasons she was fine with him returning.

Falcon Crest:

Jane Wyman had legendary feuds with Lana Turner and Robert Foxworth. She could not be filmed in scenes with Lana for much of Lana's run due to their tension. She supposedly demanded that her contract let her direct, even though she never intended to do any directing, just because she had learned that he was going to be directing episodes. She also insisted she get a larger trailer when she learned his trailer was larger than hers.

Dynasty:

Joan Collins and John Forsythe were not close, and the cast was allegedly divided between them.

OLTL was Joe Lando's first role. He felt he wasn't on the same level as Jessica Tuck, who also impressed him because she had a brilliant academic background. They must have both been frustrated. He worked like crazy to improve and began to understand the dynamics of soap operas. Brian Tarantina brought them together for a meal, and the rest is history. I love Jake and Megan

It was-or that was the rumor. I didn't even watch GL and I recall hearing about that lol. IIRC, one of them were gushing about their romance (Gina, I think) and suddenly we never heard about them again lol. I don't think TP or SG really ever confirmed they were dating either.
