Ronn Moss, Jim Storm, The Bold and the Beautiful

For the first time ever, more than 9,000 episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be available in their entirety, all in one place, with new episodes added as they become available, courtesy of the show’s new streaming digital media platform, BBTV (boldandbeautiful.com).

Officially launching today, March 23, in honor of the show’s 39th anniversary, BBTV is the new premium subscription hub for fans to access classic episodes and must-see moments, while offering HD-quality access to the show’s extensive library, never-before-seen clips, director’s cuts, interviews and numerous extras, including iconic weddings, proposals, and episodes featuring celebrity guest stars such as Betty White, Fabio, Usher, Wayne Brady, Chaz Bono and Toni Braxton, among others.

Additional features include more than 4,000 extended “director’s cuts” of episodes never seen before in the U.S., specials produced over the years, show bloopers and outtakes, original cast auditions s – including star Katherine Kelly Lang’s original 1987 screen test – cast party footage, behind-the-scenes videos, online chat forums for fan connection and community, past and current talent interviews, as well as the documentary “Becoming Bold and Beautiful,” produced in 2016 when the show filmed in Monte Carlo, and much more.

“BBTV is not just a streaming service, it’s a heartfelt love letter to our viewers. Featuring over 9,000 written episodes that honor character development and narrative continuity, all woven into a global fan community like no other,” said executive producer and head writer Brad Bell, who is also the son of the show’s co-creators William Bell and Lee Phillip Bell.

The first 37 complete seasons and counting will be available in their entirety, all in one place, for devoted superfans and new audiences alike (season 38 and all subsequent episodes will be added as they become available).

The BBTV platform is available in any web browser and on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Vizio, LG Smart TV, and Samsung. The platform was developed by Octopean Media, a 3BMG company.

A premium subscription currently runs at $5.99/month or $49.99/year.

Before the app’s launch, “The Bold and the Beautiful” had built a large following in the digital age, first by growing its YouTube footprint with daily episode drops from multiple seasons and, more recently, through its partnership with Shout! TV where they launched a FAST (free ad-supported television) channel dedicated to the show, featuring full episodes available to watch live or on demand.

Since its launch on March 23, 1987, “The Bold and the Beautiful” has taken home 106 Daytime Emmy Awards out of 345 nominations, with 29 wins across all acting categories, three wins for Outstanding Drama Series, three for Outstanding Directing Team, and five for Outstanding Writing Team.

Produced by Bell-Phillip Television Productions, Inc., and recognized as the world’s most-watched daily drama, the series follows the high society world of Los Angeles fashion as the Forrester family navigates spellbinding stories of mystery, romance, and the intrigue of family legacy.

Original cast members Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) and John McCook (Eric Forrester) remain central to the show’s canvas.

Dark Shadows and The Doctors led the charge and it's nice to see B&B continuing it! I hope this is successful and encourages others to do something with their soap library. I feel like the no brainer would be ABC which has a full library that could easily build out it's own platform. My dream though is Days or Y&R. I'd love to see the first 10+ years of those soaps.

God I want so badly for DAYS to do this. We know they've kept tabs on their inventory with Cady McClain of all people dropping that they have all seasons except the second one.

Same! I'm glad someone from the long-running soaps got the ball rolling and set up a way to provide and monetize their vast catalog of past episodes. I hope Corday follows behind. It always seemed like he was itching for a way to do something like this. Now there's no excuse, haha.

Count me in as well.

I would gladly pay for Days, especially if it meant that the episodes would never be removed.

But congrats to B&B! I hope it ends up being a gold mine for them

I know lots of people who are willing to pay to have access to a full library of high quality soap opera episodes from years past. They really should capitalize on that desire that the fans want so bad. Heck I’d be willing to pay more than what I pay for Netflix if it meant I got to have access to Y&R’s full catalog (or at least from the 1980’s and on). I am proud and happy as a soap fan to see B&B leading the charge on this!

4000 episodes with extended scenes. That's remarkable. Were those shown internationally?

Unlike Y&R, DAYS and GH, B&B definitely benefits from having its entire library available.

OC, the latter 3 soaps stopped wiping about 10 years earlier, so they'll have around 11000+ episodes if they ever decide to do this. Let's hope B&B prompts the others to do this.

And still waiting for the day P&G decides to monetize their cultural significant archives.
