Not if she has Joey's twin brother, Father John, waiting in the wings. ;)

🤣I think MVJ would do that to keep him.

It could, but there is no way MVJ is getting rid of him. I don't think she sees any end date for the character.

IA. She explicitly said that she sees Joey as BTG's Sonny Corinthos. And we know how long Sonny has unfortunately lasted.

I felt and I hope GLATWT88 understood

I did, thanks.

I am hoping the Cotillion is the climax of several stories and that is the reason it is going on for as long as it has. However, it has gone a bit quiet aside from Nicole dropping off some shoes at the Martin and Smitty's.

Ooophh, you're really going back.

I mean, Jorn Winther and Jacqueline Babbin are no longer with us, but you get what I mean, lol.

BTG needs an EP/show runner with actual vision. To me, JHC ain't that gal. But, I must add, that does not mean I advocate hiring JFP! God forbid!

MVJ also told Patrick Mulcahey "Sonny's not that bright." So I don't think she's ever worshipped the ground he walked on. And I don't think she sees Joey as the irresistible master of the show. Sooner or later he's getting got.

I figured that I was clear about it then so thank you for the verification.

I also hope for the same. Originally I had hoped that it would line up with the anniversary week. And it felt like it was building to that. Only for NOTHING. I was disappointed and a bit heated if I remember correctly because I really loved the cotillion storyline from the moment it started, images of cotillions on other teen tv shows dancing in my head. It's made for drama. And it had a nice momentum started (like Winterfest did) only to fall to the backburner abruptly.

It was only after discussing it here on the board that in hindsight, it is probably a good thing they pushed it back farther out. If it had aired on anniversary week...even with the gradual build it had...it still would have come across as rushed. So begrudgingly smart move.

I mentioned that it feels like the writers are trying to do what they did this time last year when they focused on the B and C plots more to get them developed when there are more prime stories they could worked on. Given there is an article out that mentions WHEN the cotillion storyline will play out (and yes, it is out there but like I said...not on screen so can come across as a spoiler), I just feel it just verifies my theory about what the writers are up to. And that was fine for the first year. Now that they have a year under them...my feelings honestly are mixed. Not hating the show and still highly watchable (and I'm rewatching the two I got to see this week as I type), but the pace this time last year, I remember being divisive here. This year, I think we have been more constructively picking on it and it's true.

I really love Ted and Shanice. I honestly didn’t think I would but nuTed has zero chemistry with Nicole but has it in spades with Shanice.

Yeah, I never thought I would see the day that I look forward to seeing NuTed, but him with Shanice has made a believer out of me. I enjoy seeing them together.

The talks that Eva had with Mona about how she's made up for her part in what happened to Nicole/Ted also makes me think that eventually the Laura secret will come out... and her role in covering up the part her mom played in it.

It would be the exact thing that would actually cause conflict for Eva with her new guy and make Eva have to start all over again in getting acceptance and becoming a 'have not'.

One can hope because Eva and Izaiah have no conflict at the moment. And I do be waiting for Kat to get her 'I told you so' on.

I'm lost on the Mona/TP references. I do not see that at all. TP would have never come to mind.

I think it's because TP has a certain black stereotypical characters on his show and one of them is the hypocritical church woman. And how they act on his shows is how Mona acted that day. Which while Mona's beliefs have always been established on this show...not like that so it feels kinda off. Unless I'm wrong.

Speaking of Randy...lest we forget...isn't he married or babymama-ed?

And speaking of my rewatch...

3-9

I don't think I liked Monday's episode originally (and Tuesday appears to still be slow), but I liked it the second time around.

How long has it been since Bill and Martin had a scene? It was nice to see some of the nicer history there, touching on Martin's secret as Martin was trying to advise Bill about Hayley.

I think I am going to be in the minority, but I liked that Chelesa and Kat made up. I didn't like how Kat went off on Chelesa for no reason. And no amount of dialogue has helped with that. This is their SECOND quarrel which is establishing a pattern. So I expect the next time they fall out, there will be a bigger reaction that last longer.

I continue to like how Smitty gets more and more deep into Jacob and this plasma ring storyline. I'm happy he at least explained to Martin that it was connected to a story. Part of me wondered if Samantha would tell Martin and Martin would wonder if Smitty was stepping out on him. Or if Martin at some point will wonder if Smitty is stepping out on him. When Martin had a secret, there was drama. So...now that Smitty has a secret...well...we'll see.

I have heard comments here and there about JHC, but no one has really gone into specifics. Which I think I know what everyone is saying...I would love more tea. And NO to JFP.

Disagree with much respect. Tyler Perry has nothing to do with this show at all.

Mona acted NOTHING like any Tyler Perry character. There was NOTHING stereotypical about Mona.

I'm just saying, his name should NOT be brought up at all with respect to this show.
