My guess: Drew set himself up to be shot.

Drew setting it up himself is the kind of goofball shít this show would do to make sure he remains the equivalent of a Scooby Doo villain. Still one of the strongest organic elements of the show, but they keep leaning into him doing pure forced nonsense like hoarding the Quartermaine belongings! Like he's the Grinch!

Exactly. Because, who is Frank willing to expend in order to avenge Drew's shooting and provide payoff for one of these shitty stories for once? No one. And even if Willow or someone else turns out to be the shooter, and Drew didn't have a hand in it, will they even serve a day in jail? No. They won't. Because, as with everything else that happens on this godforsaken show, this entire story is pointless.

Hell, if anything, sending the culprit to prison will just give Frank an excuse to hire 20 more actors! Hope y'all have been missing Michael Easton something fierce, 'cuz you're gonna LOVE him next year when he returns (again!) as the warden (with Roger Howarth, Laurence Lau and John Loprieno all clocking in as inmates)!

I wouldn't mind seeing John and Larry again, although not with the humiliation walk of many vets who are brought in.

That reminds me - firing Larry was one of the first things Frank did when he took over OLTL, although I assume it wasn't personal and more just Larry playing one of the worst characters in OLTL history.

It was the right thing to do, though I believe it was a Malone move. I was amazed they kept Cat Hickland through that, seeing as Lindsay had a downward spiral and murdered Sam sort of by accident while in a psychotic fugue. It was very believable to me frankly given their history, but somehow they pulled her out of that hole to keep her around though the character was fundamentally altered.

Laurence Lau might make a fine Jeff Webber, come to think of it.

I don't have any issue with Willow doing it and getting off if it serves plot function and her continued mayhem. The marriage and their twisted relationship would ensure her freedom, for now. My issue would be putting it on Drew simply to blame everything on him and keep any profound new plot shift - like Willow fully breaking bad - to a minimum, which this show too often does as is.

I'm sticking with Dean Butler.

If Frank truly had his way, there would be no drama on GH whatsoever. Just nonstop "Home & Hearth" crap. That way, with only one set, he could save enough money to hire back everyone from OLTL.

I think I'm leaning towards Scout being the shooter.

I will say that even though GH has its problems, it's practically Shakespearean compared to B&B.

Maybe Ezra Boyle did it as a favor for Sidwell, to cover up the bribery and murder of Judge Heran? He’s certainly an expendable character.
