B&B: Launches BBTV app with entire library

I've been screaming into the ether for soaps, especially the ones that are longer airing, to get on screaming.
$5.99 is basically a steal for all those episodes. I'd start around the Amber/Usher/Rick era, then move to 2000, when Brooke seduces Thorne, which leads to Macy's death, and then to the Avants before starting from the beginning. I've never seen the earlier years.

This is really great. I wish I enjoyed B&B but I just don’t. But it’s a huge step in the right direction for the genre and a real treat for BOLD fans.
I know I would pay a peacock premium if the Days catalog was available. Or if Sony/Corday were to create their own version for both DAYS and Y&R.

I do wonder how B&B got around that because they didn't cut music when they streamed the show on YouTube. For ABC, some of that work might've already been done for the post-2000 episodes at least. I seem to recall when the soaps would re-air on SOAPnet that they already replaced the popular music.

-- I am beyond sick of Mariah.i just don't care about her any longer, and it's laughable that one conversation with Daniel could shake any sense into her. Send her to prison.
-- Mariah left the park cafe and went right to Crimson Lights? Uh...ok.
-- Daniel's willingness to just roll over so Tessa can go back to Mariah is ridiculous. Just another soap cliche.
-- Is the old Chelsea back? Or is this just another fakeout? Hey, Chelsea, go home and spend 5 minutes with your kid. All she and Billy talk about is who owns what company.
-- Nick is still chewing his smarties.
-- Riza's face at the end of the show today looked like plastic.

BTG: March 2026 Discussion Thread

I would be more interested if the Duprees had some members feuding with one another instead of the boring 'Dupree Strong' mantra. This is a soap opera, not a Hallmark Channel movie.
Anita story is pretty well written, but I don't want someone going through cancer so it's fast forward for me due to personal reasons.
Other than movement in that story.. every other story seems to be either told (not shown), dropped and resumed later on.
MVJ, I know it's her baby... but she needs to hand over reigns to someone that can actually plot out a story. Her strengths are script writing and story ideas, but the woman can't plot a story to save her life. Guza could plot a story out, and i think that's why the first six to seven months were moving at a nice pace with the three intro stories being staggered so we got payoffs (Dani going nuclear at Bill/Hayley's wedding in week 1, SPS introducing Ted to his secret daughter Eva around episode 60, Martin story peaking after that, Doug/Vanessa/Joey story hit a peak in the 120s to 130s range, Chelsea's kidnapping had seeds in the first week that came to be between episodes 100 to 130, and Hayley's reveal as a con artist/black widow wannabe at episode 150.. a perfect conclusion to Guza's stint as co-headwriter).
Thomson seems like she understands how to write certain characters (Derek, Ashley).. but she doesn't seem to be any better at pacing a story then MVJ.
And the EP situation... too many of them working on this show.. trim the fat and the money you save can be applied to building a set for the clinic and perhaps Vanessa's office (which actually could be a redress of Nicole's office).

I had no idea who Maria was last week, but now I'm all in. And @Khan says Viki went after her without even needing an alter. Delicious. One of my favorite Viki stories was her locking Dorian up and torturing her. I so badly wanted her to admit that there was a part of her that got off on it. Just like Jessica hid behind Tess to make Natalie's life miserable.

@alwaysAMC Is there a specific channel that you go to for various years of GL? I'd like to binge Cassie's 97 introduction /Annie's meltdown and 2004 when Jonathan is introduced.

Thanks for this explainer. It makes sense. I'll let it be. My goodwill for Guiding Light was gone at this point, and nothing about that era makes me want to watch full episodes. Even the Jonathan-centric episodes didn't do much for me, and I loved Jammy as a couple and as characters. I don't know why TP returned. Most likely a check, but he didn't captivate me like he once did. I still think he's a great actor (I know that's polarizing around these parts since he did chew scenery. 😃)

-- Van Hansis a very good today in his scenes with Laura Wright. He sold the love between him and Marco really well.
-- I think the number of people upset about Marco's shooting indicate the impact of Marco on the canvas. Adrian Anchondo has done a really nice job making a minute character real.

GH: March 2026 Discussion Thread

I wish GH leaned more into Rocco being influenced by his grandfather Sonny who has been a constant while his father went AWOL for a while or Lulu being in a coma. In turn, Rocco came to idolize him. Instead, they have Gio prostrating before Sonny but I digress. Even Rocco's obsession with Britt could be explained by his being disconnected by Lulu being in a coma and then her ignoring him for Baby Helena. It's not like Britt raised him for the first years of his life and he got attached. He only found out about her last year but this is some good drama. And the actor is the strongest out of the young set.
Maybe Dante will get the stick out of his ass when it comes to Rocco. They've really made him a square. He's so black and white. And the way he rages at Gio every month? Yikes.
But today's GH gave the show a much needed boost.
I don't mind Jason being a useless mobster now. Sonny and Jason are AARP age now and it's been hard to take either seriously as enforcers.
MEK does look skinny. I don't think he needed the shot but half the cast of GH seems to have gotten some work done. Some more distracting than others.
