I'm really curious about streaming numbers for all soaps, but especially BTG. I keep hoping that BTG gets larger streaming views. Probably just wishful thinking. However, it strikes me as the show that would have more people streaming at night after work or on weekends than the other shows.

It's such a shame that arguably the two best episodes of the season so far (Thurs/Fri) were aired on a preemption week. If only it could have had the slow build for the entire week.

This soccer sh*t is RIDICULOUS, CBS needs to find a way to cut their losses and get rid of that contract cause it's f*CKING up their daytime line up ratings and the soccer itself clearly isn't generating nearly the ratings the soaps are

Every week, www.thetvratingsguide.com publishes lists of the streamers for every day of the week.

Every week, I see DAYS in the Peacock Top 15 for all 5 episodes, and I see GH in the HULU Top 15 for all 5 episodes.

Paramount has no soap or any other daytime show (like the top-rated The Price Is Right) in the Top 15. Looks like it's intentional to ignore all of CBS Daytime, and I just don't get it.

CBS has more popular primetime shows compared to ABC & NBC. Plus 2 slots reserved for whatever Taylor Sheridan is newly streaming & toddlers/stoners watching Spongebob.

I'm not comparing CBS to ABC and NBC.

The fact is that CBS/Paramount NEVER list a daytime show in their top streaming shows list. Since DAYS and GH appear on the Peacock and Hulu lists all the time -- for every episode of the week -- it is not realistic to believe that no CBS soap ever hits that Top 15.

I'm not suggesting CBS has no idea how the soaps do on streaming. They clearly do. I just wish we knew something.

That's so unfortunate. Maybe they need to package a week or two of the Leslie/Ted fallout episodes and re-air them on BET or Pluto like they did the premiere week.

It could be a packaged deal that requires CBS to air those daytime games in order to get more lucrative weekend games.

That's interesting. One would think the CBS soaps could at least crack the top 15 during summer when primetime shows are in reruns. CBS is weird though.

Based on data released by Nielsen today, which highlighted broadcast-only viewership based on most current ratings, it sounds like the CBS soaps at least gain just 300-400,000 viewers when factoring in multiplatform ratings, a far cry from the millions of viewers streaming-only programming typically generates.

I estimate that General Hospital is the most popular soap opera overall on streaming, with likely more than 1 million viewers, as the Hulu list is not an easy one to get on. With Peacock being anything but a huge success, I presume that DAYS is doing at least 500,000 viewers.

Now, while I'm basing my estimations specifically on Nielsen's tracking, not necessarily data from the streaming services outright, I do think Paramount isn't excluding the success of their daytime shows in their Top 10 lists. I do think that is a true representation of how successful the programs on the platform are, and the CBS daytime shows sadly don't rank in that list. It is possible they could be #11, #12, or even #15.

    • Bolger was good..just not as Phillip..he came off as older then Phillip (who along with all of the 4 Ms, forgot they should be college students) I dont remember any scenes with him and Rick, its like they were no longer friends. He was one of the few guys who had that kind of chemistry with MKA..but they threw her at Simon and tried to get him back with Beth, who he had no chemistry with. It would have been nice for Phillip and India to have a love/hate relationship of fighting and sex, for a bit before they found someone with proper chemistry with Bolger, and of course, India had Alan waiting for her, which I thought was interesting but they didnt do anything with it.

    • I suppose I am glad Lulu and Cody are trying to figure this out in a fact-based manner, but wouldn't save everyone a lot of time if they just stole Gio's hairbrush and compared it against Rocco's DNA?  Lol.

I guess I have to reluctantly rewatch
    • That works for me. And/or Dani could be in with a fast crowd and got involved with something shady and Bill came to the rescue.
    • I think judging from synoses of other shows, that the summaries are roughly in the order they played throughout the year. So Kubeck returned to a more crime theme. Maybe now that EON was competition they wanted that audience? Re Jameson Parker, the story goes that he was not pleased that TPTB wanted to tread lightly with the Dale/Ellen romance and he was taken to task over some improvs he added re touching Ellen in ways considered too 'racey'.So when his contract was up he quickly moved to OLTL as Brad.
    • I don’t think it was intentional. Because if it was, I imagine it would’ve been mentioned in one of those ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ specials that aired.
    • I mean, soaps are a world were 5'2" Eva Longoria can be a runway model...
    • I wonder if Michelle Val Jean even considered this. It seems so obvious to many of us.  If they want the Dupree name to continue, Anita and Vernon need at least one male heir.  Two would be even better.  Do you think Val Jean may have written it this way intentionally for some reason?
