He has none.

I put it on CBS and caught the ending.

What kind of cliffhanger was that? Sharon giving Phyllis a bottle of water? Zzzzzzzzzzz

While Nick would be laughable interesting as the *mastermind*, I'd love to see Mariah/Daniel revert to their dark sides, but it won't happen. It would be a smart full circle: Daniel and Mariah (Cassie's proxy).

My initial bet: Lauren (with or without Michael) - both have it in them and plenty of reasons to end the animosity.

I'm moved my money to *fake* Alan because Traci is simply not meant to have happiness! Plus I remembered he really wanted to talk to Sharon about some study at the GCAC. It was a weird encounter, which is why it stuck out. And he's supposedly been in Chicago for a long time.

As @Taoboi noted the scenes are watch-worthy only because SC/MS play off each other so well.

It's hard to believe that Cassie passed 20 years ago this May. It would be appropriate for Sharon/Phyllis to commemorate it with a truce.

And I really hate to admit that because I am a big Saw fan. But both SC and MS have given some good moments over the last week. And goodness knows Sharon and Giggly Heffa do need to have it out. It would be nice if they could go to some form of a truce.

I always felt that encounter was to rope Alan into figuring out what was wrong with Sharon while also foreshadowing a Sharon/Alan/Tracey triangle once Sharon was over her latest drama while giving Alan and Tracey something to do rather than his allegedly dead twin brother.

3-7

Honestly, I really liked Friday's episode. Not a thing happened, but there were such a series of great scenes that I actually enjoyed.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but most of it was from the Damian storyline. I loved Nate and Damian bonding and the actors really bounced off each other so well that that joke Nate gave hit near the end of the episode. And uh oh on Holden now coming across a little bit obsessed with Audra to the point that we got the unexpected Holden vs Damian fight. And of course, there's the fact of Audra lying to Nate about the extent of her relationship with Holden. Just so many possibilities with the story with people who can act.

It's clear after all Claire/Kyle/Summer was the B plot this past week. And I admit that I love the Victor/Claire conversation. It made me think of the Victor/Child Abby back in the day. There's a gentleness with Claire that Victor rarely shows these days so it was nice to see it. They even joked a little bit. I also loved the coda of Diane and Jack realizing that Summer is into Kyle again as Kyle is on the phone with Claire with Summer (with Kyle) and Victor (with Claire) in the background giving sinister looks. That was well-done.

Sharon/Giggly Heffa in their version of SAW was C plot. Clearly treading water which makes it even more uninteresting than it is already.

Cousins fighting over a guy with their grandfather in the background stirring things up. I could be down for this if the execution could live up to the potential.

At first, I was kinda annoyed at Summer and crashing the dinner, but it was actually pretty organic and very Phyllis-like taking a situation and using it to her advantage.

The real surprise - Holden and Claire! I really like Holden's overall vibe.

The *game* was annoying until the scene where Sharon pushed Phyllis to admit she would've save her. The final scene was a good twist.

    • I absolutely loved the last few episodes—devoured them! If Trisha and Ambyr’s performances aren’t Emmy-worthy, I don’t know what is. I wasn’t bothered by the lawyer girl not being at the gala from the start, or the grandkids being absent, or Vanessa being MIA. It just goes to show how unnecessarily huge the Dupree family is. And like Toups said, you can’t cram the entire cast into a single episode. Oh and the cue when Leslie was having that fantasy was epic, very DAYS-like. They should keep it and develop it   Minor nitpicks: Yeah, Ted seriously needs a recast—been saying that since day one. I still don’t know where he stands, and he just comes off as a generic nice guy. Not having Ted and Bill share a single scene since the show started? Huge missed opportunity. And not having Leslie get anywhere near Bill in one of her wigs? Another big miss. It really weakened the impact of her big reveal about Bill’s involvement. Now it just feels a bit like fan fiction. I’m totally confused by Vanessa and Doug’s “arrangement.” One moment it seems like they’re in an open relationship, and the next Vanessa acts completely shocked when Doug so much as hints at her “distractions.” Huh? Can anyone explain what’s going on there?
    • You’d think he would’ve learned after the way Sprina took off.  I hope we get a proper Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai quad, as friends, romantic rivals, etc. In the few scenes that the four of them have had together, I felt like there was a natural chemistry between all of them, similar to the way that Cam/Spencer/Trina/Joss was, in the beginning.  And, it would be a lot better than all this stuff with Kai’s surgery.
    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
