In a message posted across its social media channels, “Days of our Lives” has issued a dispatch from Lady Whistleblower, calling out an imposter that had been impersonating the show’s official TikTok account while warning that ripping its content is trademark infringement.

“It has come to our attention that a most scandalous imposter dared to masquerade as the esteemed @PeacockDays on TikTok,” opened the message designed as a letter. “This person, with the audacity of a rogue in the night, not only stole the identity of ‘Days of our Lives,’ but shamelessly snatched every treasured piece of content crafted for their beloved fans. A travesty, indeed!”

“Thanks to the sharp eye of a most loyal and clever fan (a true hero of the digital age), this deception was exposed, and the nefarious account was banished within the hour,” continued the message, adding, “Beware of imposters! Accept no substitutes! The one and only ‘Days of our Lives’ TikTok resides at @PeacockDays.Follow with fun & kindness.”

The letter seemingly included a stern warning to fans allegedly lifting content from the show, regardless of intent, and marked the first time it has formally addressed recent takedowns of accounts that were reported for copyright and trademark infringement to several social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, among others, by distributor Sony Pictures Television.

“Ripping ‘Days of our Lives’ content is trademark infringement,” the letter pointed out,” noting “The sands int he hourglass wait for no fraud.”

The letter was signed by Lady Whistleblower, referencing the fictional character involved in current storylines who is sharing all the “Body & Soul” secrets with Salemites, and is a parody version of Lady Whistledown from the Netflix series “Bridgerton.”

Of course it makes sense to protect the copyright, but in a way they should be glad that anyone even wants to impersonate the show. It's surprising anyone wanted to do that in the first place. They could have just had the clips taken down and not released this corny letter.

    • Portugal qualifying was the only shocker. I'm really happy for Iceland. IMO, the automatic finalists – Spain, Switzerland and Italy – had the best performances. I love the studio version of Azerbaijan, but on stage, it was a disaster.

    • Randy (Doug's friend who works for Joey) -- Joey told Randy weeks ago that Joey's plan was to get Doug into so much debt that Doug would be forced to get Vanessa's real estate holding turned over to Joey, to use for money-laundering.  That's been the plan all along, which the viewers knew.  The only thing new is that Joey finally told Doug this. I think Joey is written badly.  I also think Jon Lindstrom is doing "Now I am going to act menacing".   But I don't really feel the menace.  It's too overdramatic and it doesn't feel like a real person.  Jon is a fine actor on GH, so I don't know what's happening here -- the entire BTG mobster premise is badly designed/written.  I don't know if Guza pushed for a mobster storyline?  Or did Jon?  (Jon wrote a novel about Hollywood mobsters). It just doesn't fit.  It feels (to me) like this storyline for Jon was just shoved onto the canvas but it doesn't fit all all. Monday's scene of Mona coming into the "casino" to check up on where Leslie supposedly lost money in the slot machines -- and Randy explaining to Mona that there are no slot machines, there is nothing but the card room.  I had to laugh because they had characters comment that it's just a card room and not a casino -- the show is now acknowledging that there's nothing there.  If they are going to do this, then have it make sense for Fairmont Crest residents to visit a high-end glamourous casino, and not a random room with one table. So what money is Joey laundering? A while back, Joey told Vanessa that he knows about her sexual philandering because owns the escort service that she'd been using. But I don't care...  I'd just prefer that the entire mobster storyline go away.
    • I caught up this past weekend. The show is better written, but I have been bored with the show. I did notice it ranked in the top 5 again this week, so that's a good sign.
    • I can't take this show seriously. I truly miss WJB writing this show. Bradley didn't inherit his dad's talent.
    • Maybe if there had been a good close up or two
