Webmaster Errol Posted January 23 Webmaster Share Posted January 23 If you tuned into the Sunday, January 19 broadcast of the NFL on CBS, wherein the network carried the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills, you might have also seen the latest promo for the network’s upcoming daytime drama series, “Beyond the Gates.” Debuting Monday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT on CBS, the series follows an affluent Black family who hold court over the fictional Fairmont Crest, a posh gated community that’s the center of a luxury filled with wealthy residents harboring deep secrets. Leading the cast are Clifton Davis as Vernon Dupree, Tamara Tunie as Anita Dupree, Daphnee Duplaix as Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson and Karla Mosley as Dani Dupree. Highlighted in the promo are cast members Jen Jacob (Ashley Morgan), Ben Gavin (Derek Baldwin), Jibre Hordges (Jacob Hawthorne), Arielle Prepetit (Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne), Karla Mosley and Timon Durrett (Bill Hamilton). “CBS Daytime gets steamier [love scene between Hordges’ Jacob and Prepetit’s Naomi], scheme-ier [conversation between Mosley’s Dani and Tunie’s Anita], and soapier [argument between Mosley’s Dani and Durrett’s Bill],” reads the tag for the promo, noting the series will be joining a drama-filled daytime lineup that already includes “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Watch the all-new promo below. Per Fast Nationals released by Nielsen, the Ravens-Bills AFC Divisional Playoff game on CBS averaged 42.2 million viewers, down -16% from last year’s CHiefs-Bills game (50.4 million). Earlier in the day, NBC carried the NFL Divisional Playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles, which averaged 37.8 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, NBC Sports Digital platforms and NFL Digital platforms, while ranking as the network’s fourth most-watched NFL Divisional Playoff game since 1988, when Nielsen introduced their People Meter ratings tracking system. Viewership peaked at 47.5 Million at the game’s conclusion. Members AbcNbc247
I love how they’re taking the time and effort to promote BTG! Not only have I seen the promo on CBS and Paramount+, I’ve also seen it on Plex and Pluto. I also wonder if CBS Daytime is gonna promote Feb. 24 as like a big event for all of its soaps, the same way NBC did when Passions debuted.
Webmaster Errol Posted January 23 Author Webmaster Share Posted January 23 I've also seen the first promo on numerous occasions while watching movies/shows on Prime Video. No one can say CBS isn't promoting the hell out of it, so hopefully it garners all the success we all hope it gets.
