I’ma give the show credit for going so slow with Carly and Jack because it made me more invested lol, glad they finally kissed. Valentin trying to kill Jack and Carly busting in and knocking him over the head was fun. I laughed at Carly waking Brennan up by saying she’d tell everybody he died in a bath robe too

I love this pairing

Emma talking to Dante about Sam was very sweet. Her and Gio were boring but I like her and the animal activist angle they’re taking.

Jason and Sasha are a firm NO for me. Its a tired recycle of his better storylines with Carly and Sam. Sasha and Michael not being married doesn’t make Jason sniffing around his nephews roster any less gross than Drew either. I did giggle at Cody’s reaction to finding out she’s pregnant and seeing Jason feeling the baby kick.

Once again Brook Lynn and Lois got some good scenes, RS and AS have great mother daughter chemistry and I’m glad she got to comfort Brook Lynn after the Chase shoots blanks reveal.

I enjoy Tracy and Martin’s banter, this was a smart pairing choice for JE IMO and she’s made MEK work for me when he’s stuck out like a sore thumb every time I saw him on the show prior.

I’ve really been loving Lulu taking accountability and reacting more reasonably these last couple of weeks. They could have easily had her bite Anna’s head off for shooting Charlotte but after a quick dig she blamed the real culprit aka Valentin.

Her scenes with Dante were great as well I love how she makes him address the elephant in the room when it comes to Sam being her donor. Anna revealing to them both that Sam was murdered was good and I’m looking forward to tomorrow

Ding, ding, ding!

About the writing of Tracy toward Sasha yesterday & today & this seeming escalation of negativity/attack mode, etc. IMO, the current writers are possibly the most "plot opportunistic" of any I recall seeing. It seems to me they will have anyone say or do anything if it happens to be what they need at that moment to advance whatever plot point they are fixated on that day, or week, or even longer period of time. So, again IMO only, they thought they needed to push Sasha & Tracy was the best person who was handy to do so. Plot Plot Plot. Plod Plod Plod. And, YMMV.

So long as Martin and Tracy remain as cohorts/sparring partners, I'll be okay.  If it crosses the line into an actual, romantic pairing, however.....

While poor Josh Swickard is saddled with being the worst joke ever: a cop who's "shooting blanks."  It's enough to make you call the REAL cops and have someone arrested.

I also really am enjoying the banter & verbal sparring betw Marty & Tracy & I am not closed off  against the idea of them becoming more. I just don't know. Maybe I wouldn't like it. Maybe I would. ??? I would have to see how it went if they wrote it & tried it out. But, I really want Marty to do the beard again.

Emma and Gio (and Trina and Kai too) are starting to grow on me. They're sweet kids and I'd much rather see them leading the younger crowd lol

And I don't actually dislike this Jason/Sasha thing, whatever it is. It could be pretty interesting if Jason does end up keeping the secret about the baby from Sonny and Carly. Btw, I'm really starting to wonder how the daughter of a Brit and an Aussie ended up with a Swedish accent

This hatchet job with Tracy is unnecessary though.

I completely enjoy & love the friendship that Gio & Trina have.

Sasha did not tell Jason to keep it from Carly. She said she wants to keep her child from the Qs & from Sonny. She didn't mention Carly. Although Jason very well may not tell her. He still has not told her that it was Brennan who destroyed her FBI audio file.

I loved how awkward Jason was when the baby kicked & she reached out & put his hand on her belly. But, what I thought at that moment was Michael was the first baby Jason ever held & now he's just felt his grandchild kick or move or whatever. (Speaking of chosen family & in that sense, that Jason considers Michael his first born child.)

I didn't watch the whole thing but I think even Steve Burton said on his podcast he doesn't want a Sasha/Jason relationship. I hope they listen to him. I think it would just be lazy and sad, and kind of gross given his history with Michael. I think it makes sense if Jason becomes attached to Sasha and her baby, but that doesn't need to turn romantic.

It's not exactly out of the norm for GH, or any soap, in recent decades. This show can often be brutally plot-driven. Tracy has never liked Sasha anyway. I think it just stings more because of the periods when they do write better material for Tracy. Seeing her put back in some of the slop that reminds me of when she was just there to be a foil to the "good" Quartermaines is beneath her and Jane and us. And I don't even mind Sasha.

All the Carly and Brennan stuff, what I've seen anyway, leaves me with mixed feelings. I do see where he's something of a temporary character, the type who would have been killed off in "events" back in the day, and it's just a stopgap until the show figures out which big pairing to put Carly in...but it is better than going with Sonny/Carly again, a pairing I genuinely do not think any viewer wants at this point. Carly needs to be rebuilt, and doing so while she's lost so much of her family would be a good time to do it. For a long time, I would have said they should take away all her money and status, but I'm not sure it would matter now. Still, I hope they give her a big reset.

I agree. I'm pretty sure all Jarly fans would agree & Jackly fans, also. Here's the deal. Steve today is a team player, so if they were going forward with Romantic Jason & Sasha Steve would know this & he wouldn't speak against it. So the fact that he did speak against it the podcast confirms for us that NO Romantic Jason & Sasha is on the board. And, may I just say thank god, or maybe Soap Buddha.

Well, at least I get the sense that you do also find GH to be very plot driven now.

Sonny & Carly? No, never again. Mo doesn't want it. Laura doesn't want it. The show has no interest in it. Nobody wants it! How the heck did this happen? However, ain't it grand? When it comes to Sonny & also to Little Sonny my philosophy is a common one, "ABC" which stands for Anyone But Carly. Hey, Natalia, the field is open.

    • On GL we only saw young GA's Philip in very short shorts but on AMC we saw GA's Alec McIntyre in a speedo.
    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
