Wait, The plan was NOT to shoot Valentin in the first place, or actually in any place, except Colette's mind, where she was clearly in renegade mode. I'm confused about whether you're confused. I really hate if that happens.

Like a broken clock is right twice a day, even Brad got to be right that day. And, I thought Perry did it up really really well. I bought his anger about Britt.

I watched today's rerun in its entirety on Hulu.

Leo was on. The show has given up on him.

Chase sang a song to Brook Lynn while Ned played the guitar. The creepy music manager then showed up.

Sasha appeared with Brando and Gladys. Brando is dead and I miss him. Gladys is gone and I don't miss her.

Spencer talked to Ava, Carly talked to Sam, and Sam talked to Spencer. They all talked about Esme.

Spencer asked Sam to swear upon her honor as a Cassadine. Sam responded that Cassadines lie, cheat, and steal. Spencer said that Sam was one of the good ones. Spencer then said that Esme is a monster.

Spencer was only pretending to be with Esme until he could get proof of her guilt. This totally backfired, as it allowed Esme access to Nikolas. This episode was two weeks away from the point that Nik and Esme sleep together and conceived Ace.

Ava had a confrontation with Esme, which doesn't deter Esme. Ava then went to Spencer and offered him $10,000 per week if he could get himself and Esme out of the house.

Esme pretended to be moving out, and let Nik talk her out of it. She then opened up her suitcase to reveal that it only had a single shoebox.

I loved this episode. It made me think that the show was going to bring back Spencer and Esme.

At this point...I'm not sure if she wants him dead or if Brennan wants him dead. It was a mish-mach of dialogue.

I thought Perry did a great job as well. But of course that was probably because I was looking away when Brad exploded. So I noticed cuz that got my attention.

As already mentioned by others, Joss' grief has fallen so flat for me.

From the moment she sat at Dex's bedside when he had just died, then went on to give a monologue saying, "Thank you (pause) for loving me" (or whatever that blather was), and now to packing up his apartment, I'm just not feeling Eden anymore. I'm glad Dex is gone and I'll be even more glad when they move Josslyn on from this crap storyline with such crap dialogue.

No, Brennan doesn't want him dead. Colette was acting on her own, actually against orders & Brennan, admonished her for doing so, as he should have.

Same experience. I wasn't paying attention to Brad & then he really drew my attention to him, exploded is right!

I really enjoy that we can have such a variety of experiences with the same content. That speech at Dex's bedside, to me was very moving & emblematic of a way that Joss feels she had growth with Dex. Of course, I continue to nurse my personal theory that Dex is alive.

Maybe that's why her performance is falling flat, because he might be alive (not that she knows it yet).

But when you find out someone has just died, someone you had an intimate relationship with, I find it unrealistic that she was already going into her calm "thank you for loving me" spiel, while sitting on Dead Dex's hospital bed. There should have been more freaking out, blubbering, hollering, etc. Her initial attempt at grief was too resigned (to me).

Edit: I am sitting here in shock watching my beloved southern California burning to the ground in a couple of areas.  I lived down there for over 30 years, and those Santa Ana winds have never been a joke. The rest of the country can't understand what those winds are like and now look what they have done. It's a horrible perfect storm of spark, wind, low humidity, and once they get going, there's no stopping them. Praying for those communities that have been decimated tonight. Then I thought of the Michael burning storyline...

Okay, I am sure. What happened: Brennan gave orders to follow.ONLY. She completely on her own decided to kill him but she couldn't get a good enough shot. Finally took the best shot she had. Later when he saw her, he was pissed.

Yep. Total agreement about Brad. Also Perry. Even Lucas understood where Brad was coming from. Loved Portia telling off Cyrus & banning him from HER HOSPITAL. Very good that Portia told him off.

Oh, god, the fires are so terrible. I'm so sorry for anyone being impacting by this at all. This year, 2025 is getting off to a very bad start.

If I'm right she's going to be furious.

I've been thinking about your Calm Joss Theory. People always say that people grieve differently & I think that's true. I wonder if Joss only seems calm & inside is reeling. I know I am that way. The madder I get, outwardly, the calmer I get, also I become unfailingly overly even polite. It's like in the South if we suddenly say, "Well, bless your heart." that's not us showing regard for the state of your heart, no, we've just insulted you.

Willow's HO azz starts the episodes with a shirtless Drew in his room. So she messing with him on this trip? She is nasty piece of work and I hate the angle how she is being written like some delicate flower when her hot coochie got her in this mess. Drew? Disgusting. Slept with the mama while making her fall for him. I want these two humilated in the worse way

Thankfully the show isnt villifying Michael. He is coming across alot better and deserves better

I don't think they are messing around this trip.  They are just both idiots.  Michael aside, the optics of a married woman going into half dressed Drew's hotel room in her slinky pajamas isn't exactly good for Drew's image as a politician.  Her kid is with her too!  Just put some clothes on, call Drew first, and go to his room to talk about your angst like a normal person.

I hope the humiliation for the two of them is next level.

There seems to be a lot of discussion among some fans at least as to what the show is presenting. Cameron, for example, is putting it out there that Drillow is a valid couple & even suggested they might become the next Luke & Laura. Then, there are also questions about Jason and ... HA. So many. Let's count them down.

Jason & Anna - To me they're partners & friends. No way we're gonna have romance between Jason & Robin's mother.

Jason & Sasha - I don't get it. Why? What?

Jason & Liz - Now I truly do not see why there are still these fans. Liz has Lucky & also Ric. When is 3 too much?

Jason & Carly - Everyone knows that the Jarly, Unicorn, Count to 10, fans exist. Everyone knows that supposedly Korte loves this couple. Everyone knows that the show is afraid to pull the trigger & see what happens. And, I won't even remind everyone of their marriage.

Jason & Emma ... SCREECH. Okay, we'll stop there at the most ridiculous mention of all.

BTW, I think Drillow is nothing but f*ckbuddies & Cam is possibly losing his mind. Luke & Laura? Laughable.

    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
    • Its realistic for Dani and  true of how the character thinks and operates. We've known her long enough to by that this would be consistent with her past characterizatioin
    • Random takes: - What was even the point of that jeweler guy? Also—Dani was borderline harassing him. - I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I want Jacob and Kat to happen. I need something messy to completely dismantle the Duprees—and Katomas just isn’t cutting it.  - I officially can’t stand Jacob and his wife. Same goes for Anita and Vernon. - Hayley’s corset was just as ugly as it looked uncomfortable. - I genuinely don’t remember when or how Derek and Ashley reconciled—and I’m someone who didn’t even mind their storyline! LMAO. - Tuesday’s episode was a mess. - Dani finding out about Hayley’s pregnancy and immediately thinking, “She’s faking it”—huh?! What writer thought that was a realistic reaction? I get denial, but that leap was absurd. I agree the ‘Leslie Victorious’ moment was way OTT. But hey, at least I wasn’t yawning. The following episode, where she handed over her daughter’s last few belongings was much better. - I can’t with the constant back-and-forth between Orphey Gene’s and the Country Club. I forgot this was such a soap trope, but even back in my loyal viewer days (late ‘90s, early 2000s), it wasn’t this bad. While GH has a ton of beautiful sets, we’re stuck with the same three—and half of them are ugly. Also: it’s been way too long since we had a party, gala, or any kind of event. I know the Richardsons’ anniversary gala (back in late April) has had a big ripple effect, but I was kinda getting used to those large-scale episodes. Fingers crossed they don’t go with Guza.
    • The horrific comments execs and writers make when they justify rape storylines or keeping rapists as love interests is just so icky. I remember Ron Carlivati's comments about the reraping of Marty storyline on OLTL. Made my skin crawl.  No matter what you think of her, Susan Lucci could have demanded front burner storylines but she never did. She was happy to be part of an ensemble. I never got that vibe from Zimmer.  For me, Reva was just not a character I cared that much about after a certain point no matter how talented Zimmer is/was. I think Zimmer had a keener eye for what made a good storyline, but she was less willing to take a backseat if it meant someone else got to shine. I'm trying to recall if she ever mentions Michelle Forbes in her book--one of the few times the viewers did not care about Reva in a storyline. My sense is if she did, it was probably some backhanded remark about how she had to show Forbes the ropes.
    • GH was good? I havent watched since Joss went away to do her traininig and Lulu had just called Brooklyn out for having Dante's baby and not telling him
    • BTG: A-  DAYS: B+  Eastenders: C
    • There was a rumor that Jean will die and that’s probably why she’s back then
    • There has been some confusion about Michael & facial burns. Please see this post: https://bsky.app/profile/shallotpeel.bsky.social/post/3lqkrryu54226 I've chosen to put this here instead of the Classic Thread because it is now with the appearance of recast Michael that this has come up. Different places online, including at least one podcast, remarks have been made about how remarkable it is that he is without facial scarring. Other fans say it was clear from the first that he did not have facial burns. What is included in this post is 2 screengrabs where you can see his face at the hospital & a very quick edit of that day in the hospital.
    • Put me in the LOVE KMH camp. As a poster alluded to above, her detractors seem to come from people who first experienced the 80s Emily actress. And that's often the case with soaps, myself included. I enjoy the original actor so much that I just never take to the recast. However, KMH played Emily far longer than the original - for almost 20 years - and when she had great material, she was great. I get the sense she didn't like playing the whiny oh-woe-is-me Emily which was all the material she got from about 1996 until she took over the Intruder in late '99/early '00 and got to play a stronger kiss-ass woman who didn't care what anyone thought of her. (Some would call that a bitch but, if a man was in that role, he'd just be called a smart and savvy businessman.) Her relationship with Hal was great. The transformation was done realistically and I thoroughly enjoyed those years the best out of all. Once the writers decided to break up those two, they went back to writing Emily half the time as whiny and pathetic. I preferred when the writers made her stronger.
    • Hahaha - I do. I've always been the type, though, that can't miss anything. I get FOMO, so I'll not skip episodes or fast forward anything. There are only a few TV shows I've dropped because they got so bad vs. sticking it out to the end.  The promise that GL 1997 is better is what keeps me going. I especially want to see the fallout of Blake's lie about her twins and then Annie's descent which I believe won Watros's Emmy.
