So Charlie's Pub gets a renovation, but they kept the landing as anyone enters the club -- and then has to walk down 2 steps to the main floor. Does this make sense to anyone?

What club would have a landing that practically screams "insurance liability"? You can fall down entering the pub, and if you've had a few drinks, fall down leaving the pub. There are also 2 steps to climb to enter the pub. Ridiculous.

One of these "landings" used to be at the entrance to the Quartermaine foyer, but someone wisely eliminated it.

I don't know who's designing these sets.

Can they get rid of Cody too please?

He gets into Drew's car. He and Drew argue in the car. Drew drives unaware his car has been tampered by Michael.

Sonny sees a ghostly Michael outside and suffers his chest pain. Sonny runs after him. Still arguing with Cody, Drew runs down Sonny with his car. He and Cody fight over the wheel as the car plunges over cliff. Cody dies instantly but Drew is ejected from the car with severe burns.

Drew is arrested for running down Sonny.

Michael laughs as he's gotten revenge on Drew and Sonny is dead. Cody was just collateral damage.

I thought you would have enjoyed him punching Lucky.

(is that the biggest part JJ has had since his return?)

I have said it before but I think a downward spiral story for Cody should be interesting, but they aren't really doing a great job with the execution...and I'm not sure what the end result is going to be, unless it's some kind of bad boy competition for Dante over Lulu.

Those scenes were poorly done. It went from Cody punching JJ to him landing in jail. I thought I missed something and rewinded it but no. I didn't miss a scene.

I just don't like this story for Cody. Is this the best they can do?

Well my earlier prediction about Jason having the kids was totally wrong but I'm glad he was able to broker a solution

That Coffee cup with Dante and Tracy near the beginning of the episode was so obviously empty.

It did feel like a bit of a cop-out to show Cody punching Lucky and then picking up after it was all over.

Cyrus' spate of mercy killings being about his mother does make some sense - even if a little cliched. I do look forward to learning the reasoning behind Sam and Dex's death though because as Liz and Lucky noted, they weren't terminally ill, or suffering grave injuries like Michael.

Yes, I love that Jason basically was the hero via diplomacy!!! I also love that Drew did NOT like it one bit. And I am OVER Marty talking to Drew about this. Drew is not his client. Willow is.

Him wallowing in self-pity, being bitter, talking about only wanting what he's due like some entitled jerk ... who wants to watch that?!!

At least Marty earned his keep by filling in that backstory.

My new mantra for this show is

Cameron is just doing his job.

It's not as effective as I need it to be to get through so much Drew airtime, although I am very much hoping that we get a bit of a break from him, soon.

So, that's one of the jobs that Korte used to do, at some point. And, for what, a year Anne Schoettle was acting in that capacity? So, you're just wondering who is taking care of that function now? Until they decide to put someone in credits I'm not sure we will know but that  doesn't necessarily mean it's not being done.

I know that there's this rep that GH has of having the best continuity people of necessity.

I know with my own 2 eyes I see continuity errors which I attribute to Frank's method of taping.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
