I loved her on OLTL, I thought she was an ideal recast early on and I don't think Frank will ever let her go, but if this is how this is going to go forever with Setton it's time to recast.

And don't get me started on the Gio thing. It is so unnecessary to do this with Dante and BLQ, let alone with a grown young man. (And I say that as someone who likes Gio and who would play Dante and BLQ together for awhile after nuking Chase.) These sexy adults do not need more kids let alone grown children.

Kristina needs a break, after having all her spoiled bullshít about that baby shoved back down her damn throat. This is exactly why the entire surrogacy story should never have happened, she's always been like this. It's ruined a promising recast and made her unbearable.

I would reposition her after a few months of low airtime in the new year and then slowly find someone new for her. But Frank never says die with unpopular characters who are fúcking up unless he is forced to or when re-up time rolls around and they ask for more money. So we'll probably see him quadruple down.

Please know that if I have posts from users I've blocked quoted at me so that I can see them in order to inject herself into this discussion I will report both parties. I say this because it's been done before. Let's not get cute the day before Turkey Day.

They don’t even need to script these two doing the deed anymore if what we got today is what they’re giving us. This was just awful.

I love when soap kids make sense because of who their parents are. Similar to Rachel on Days being exactly what a child by Kristen DiMera should be. James is perfect as Maxie’s son and I thoroughly enjoyed the scenes with Lulu. Also loved him pointing her out in the picture album.

Lulu fresh out of her coma just going place to place was hilarious. The ending with Rocco being the first one to run into Lulu from her family was perfect!

Also loved Liz and Lucky getting the footage and realizing she’s awake as well.

Honestly wanted Ric to go a little harder in embarrassing Kristina but it was fun while it lasted. I hope Ava gets off. I’d be perfectly fine with a Kristina break. The writing has ruined my enjoyment of one of my favorite daytime actresses.

They couldn’t find a cute set of pajamas or a cute robe for her to be in? It looks ridiculous, and what they have her in and the angle in bed makes it look like she’s wearing many layers of clothes. Like Joey on Friends.

”Could I be wearing any more clothes?!”

Just incredibly distracting and silly. Next time I want her to be in a full gown and one of those old bonnet hats. let’s go full Amelia Bedelia.

And while we are making fun of her clear discomfort, I will still add that it is possible to have a demure performer and still make intimacy appear to have happened! But that would possibly take a couple of minutes to stage, so it’s out of the schedule.

As a female, I find it ridiculous to even think about putting on a full set of pajamas and a robe after sex and then going back to lie under covers.  That's so much effort.

They absolutely could find her a silky nightgown set with a silky robe to make it slightly believable.  I have no idea what Setton's "modesty" rules are, but if these two are married on screen isn't that okay?  You are acting out a character newly married on a tv show.

While I understand why Josh and Amanda feel the way that they do about scenes like this, I also think that maybe soaps aren’t the best medium for them and that it’s time for ChaLynn to get their happily ever after, away from Port Charles.

Plus, it’s not like there’s a lot of story for them, except for the possible Gio thing.

    • Tbf it's not unusual for a family when they are dealing with some bad news that changes a life to use song to give out hope.Especially black families. I personally had to deal with that very thing this weekend. Partly off putting, but at the same time, I did get the point and it gave me a bit of hope in the moment.      MM is definitely acting. But Smitty is just so passive. It could turn into quiet strength at some point, but for now...passive IMO.
    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
