After the past few years of lackluster Thanksgivings (that repugnant fantasy episode involving Phyllis and Gloria on Thanksgiving back in 2021 still haunts me!) it’s actually nice we got an actual family and character driven Thanksgiving episode this year.

Highlights for were the Nate, Amy, and Audra scenes as I found their scenes very poignant and sweet.

Abbott family thanksgiving was a hoot with Ashley and Traci tearing into Jack and Diane, the underlying tension, and heck Summer giving Kyle & Claire the look.

Enjoyed the Newmans too. @Liberty City

@Taoboi You both aren’t kidding, Peck is looking like a hot daddy

Also agree with the sentiments that MTS is looking regal again, her current hairstyle is also a nice throwback back to her 1998-2001 Alden era hair that I loved so much.

I haven't started the week yet so that's good to hear. I can always count on the Abbott Thanksgiving because Ashley is back and will give good bitca to Diane. So good. lol. And ugh at Summer. Those two are so one step forward, multiple steps back.

He really is. I can't hate. Re: Mr. Peck.

Like KS over on GH, MTS has started to dress marvelously again and I love to see it.

Not wax!!!! lol.

I didn't cotton to Michael's white hair at first, but now I'm used to it. Now his loss of beard on the other hand...grrrr.

To clarify I don’t think it was a look of jealousy, it was more of a repulsive look like “Eww why is she kissing Kyle that’s gross” look. LOL if that makes sense.

I will say except for Billy (isn’t that always the case lol) it’s been a decent short week.

Valerie Pettiford is doing an amazing job! She's infused so much heart and character into what really amounts to a bit part. So much so I find this C-story more compelling than the A & B.

I'm truly sad they saddled her character with a terminal illness. I wish Amy was sticking around permanently, or they had crafted a new role for her. Seeing her interacting with Nate gave me shades of Olivia and Drucilla

I was hoping to see people discussing Billy. He wasn't very nice to Jill eh?

"Playing that sick card again."

Agreed about Audra, Nate and, Amy. The start of a birthday cake tradition would be nice. Maybe like the Qs and pizza.

Idk how I feel about another round of Philly. Billy and her going after Victor might be fun.

Victor gutting glissade is fine and I want to know what Jack's next plan is.

The Abbott dining room-when was the last time that was seen?

And yes, the ugly flowers at both the Abbotts and Newmans were distracting.

Cole is looking way better-that weird beardline he had at first has gone.

Don't mind CLB with the grey, but I am never a fan of the bouffant aspect.

Can't say I'm noticing a dramatic improvement in women's clothing as yet.

Why is Alan still  around? Just arm candy for Traci?

Nate fill out the pink top very nicely...

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
    • This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call  "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
    • She was so wonderful. Glad your handle has been a tribute to her.
    • Hopefully Alan has learned to not interrupt or interject with pointless information while someone is in the middle of telling a story. I almost think it would be better if Alan was a producer behind the scenes.. and he just had the actors on screen talking and asking one another questions.  Those interviews tend to work better.
    • It was only recently announced that Denise Alexander passed away on March 5, 2025. She was my all time favorite actress and role model. She will be dearly missed.  Denise Alexander, ‘General Hospital' and ‘Days of Our Lives' Actress, Dies at 85
    • Hopefully Alan will actually read the book beforehand.
