Okay... so it looks like Theresa plead guilty so she is definitely looking at some sort of prison time. I don't know why Andrew is still hashing out a plea deal; I thought that would've been resolved by now. I don't know if part of that plea deal includes reducing the charges to misdemeanors, but if she actually has plead guilty to felony charges, that is going to go on her permanent record and some places of employment won't even hire her because of her felony record. Depending on the state, she won't be able to legally own a firearm or even vote. So yeah, not looking too good for Theresa right now. Either way, I highly doubt that she's going to want to do anything that's going to land her right back in prison, so hopefully this will scare her straight. 

Kristen, Bonnie, Xander, Eric, Lucas, Gabi, and Hope would all like a word.

I’m not really sure about them merging John’s storyline with the Abby storyline but I am still interested in it. Hopefully, it’ll be better then when they merged Connie’s with Bobby-Everett’s.  

Speaking of him, Stephanie opening up to Kayla about him was really nice. They really should have more scenes together. 

As for Brady/Alex, them suddenly becoming all buddy-buddy seems like the wrong move. They should still have some animosity towards each other over everything that happened with Theresa. Add in the way that each of them feel about Xander, along with Brady sleeping with Fiona and you get a pretty big mess/war between the three of them that could be really good to see. 

Same goes for Alex giving up everything to Xander so easily; it seems like the wrong move and also is cutting off the potential for more storylines and to add more layers to existing storylines.

I've been disappointed by the beats played after the wedding for this story, I feel like they rushed Alex/Justin reunion and having Brady/Alex buddy-buddy seems boring.  

It definitely feels like Alex has not been humbled, especially by Maggie.

She's not the vindictive type, but he treated her rather poorly.

It seems to me they are just very quickly trying to redeem Alex without doing any of the work.

Agreed.

Ron, and the scab writers too, made a really big mistake by not playing up what this all did to Alex and Justin’s relationship, a lot more than they should have. That needed to be one of the most important dynamics of that storyline, and should still be going on.

And a proper Brady/Theresa/Alex triangle seems like a missed opportunity as well, especially since Brady and Theresa spent that night together.

Darn RonC! I fell for it again.  He's always got a good setup for a mystery and then poor follow through.  There aren't enough clues to actually solve the crime, so as an audience we are always twelve steps behind.  And the characters get distracted by random stuff, like John calling Marlena, rather than answering the questions that we want to know.

On a positive note, I'm glad that they specified that Xander doesn't have the inheritance yet.    At least the ridiculousness of some random drunk guest at a wedding isn't being used as the sole excuse to hand over an entire family empire to a bastard child. 

But, how long has Brady been running around town commando?  And why wouldn't he go home to put on some drawers before going out to the bar?

And, gotta love a soap town, Connie, Stephanie, and Alex are all able to move into fully furnished apartments without one box or a bag.  All the knickknacks are in place, and no need to even buy a new shower curtain. 

Today was one of those days with the mostly boring storylines. 

I thought Johnny and Chanel were sweet, but they deserve a lot better than this Body and Soul crap. Honestly, everybody does. 

Btw, was it just me or were they doing some of kind of Johnny/Gabi chem test at the beginning of today? I actually wouldn’t mind that, mainly because of EJ’s reaction to it lol 

I don’t mind Alex/Stephanie 2.0 either but I still think they’re missing an opportunity for Alex to be the villain, to somehow get back at Xander for everything that just happened. That could cause conflict for him and Stephanie in the future. He would just need another character to talk with about scheming, like Sonny or somebody. Btw, Sonny’s gone? Just like that? 

And as for that final scene with Connie/“Li”, I rolled my eyes so hard, I think I saw my brain. 

August 5, 2023 Albert Alarr was fired! 

I had an idea, kind of wild. If Theresa got all the way to the airport gate before she turned herself around & returned to Salem & the site of her ignominious crimes, what if at that gate she suddenly became afraid of running into ... GWEN!!!! 

I am so confused as to how Stephanie easily got her old apartment back when Chad had to bunk with Maggie for months lol.  If it was vacant this whole time why didn't he and the kids live there?  And why does Stephanie need an apartment big enough for 4 people? 

Today was boring.

I honestly don't care about this Ava/Stefan stuff at all.  I think Ava is mostly useless.  I love TB, but why is Ava still on canvas?  Tripp is gone.  Harris is gone.  She should have left when Steve did.
