From the first scene, today was an improvement over yesterday. The script was clearly worked on by real writers and not obsessed fans.

I liked the little family bonding scenes with Xander/Sarah/Maggie/Fiona. I thought the dynamics between them and also Fiona’s alcoholism were built up pretty well.

Brady and Tate’s drunken phone call was good too, but again, they should have had Tate realize Brady was drunk and be angry and upset about it, which in turn could have caused problems for him and Holly. He was too carefree about it. And about Theresa being sent to prison.

Same could be said for Tate/Holly deciding not to have sex. They should have had Holly be angry at Tate instead of her immediately realizing that she was just caving to pressure by Sophia. Like, why are they afraid to write good, internal conflict for Tate and Holly? Tate did look hot though

I wonder how Jamie Martin Mann would’ve played that scene.

As for Chad/“Abby”, I didn’t see that much chemistry between them.

But both cliffhangers were really good. They were definitely a good hook to get people to watch tomorrow.

Tate's probably just happy that he doesn't have to deal with his mom anymore and maybe he's even secretly hoping that he won't have to see her ever again.

Also, what are they even doing with Holly and Tate? What was the point of that scene if they weren't even going to sleep together? Wow, these two are really boring, aren't they? Sophia is literally the only thing making them interesting right now.

Tate just continues to be the most laid back teenager on the planet.  So many things are going on around him and he's just hanging out with Holly.  JMM played Tate with more feelings?  More high strung?   I also still find Holly pretty unlikeable still.  She's was okay today.  I just find her very selfish.

I surprisingly find Fiona very interesting.  She's (so far) a character I actually want to know more about.  Although I can't believe sober Maggie didn't smell the champagne in Fiona's glass when Fiona actually handed it to her to hold.  My mother doesn't drink and I swear she can smell alcohol on anyone from 100 yards away lol.

I am not sure how I feel about Nu"Abby".  I thought it was incredibly pushy the way Chad took her to the mansion and tried to force her to remember.  Just buy the girl a hamburger at the Pub and let her breathe for a few minutes!

It is confusing where the roads are in Salem because everyone seems within walking distance of the square.  Do they drive onto the ferry, or is the island just for walking?  I mean, it seems like the only time we ever see anyone driving, we know that there will be an accident.

Same here -- I'm on the Diamond tier. I filed the email price increase when I got it. Hopefully, it won't show up on my bill and I won't have to spend 2 hours calling them.

The upper tier is called the Diamond tier. It includes over 150 channels, most of which I never watch.

I checked out moving to a lower tier, but that would have kicked in a charge for Peacock and a very low storage capacity for my DVR -- for a "savings" that made none of it make sense.

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
