B&B drops! 

The murder mysteries are sure bringing them in.😂

I see no major drop in demos for the soaps on Friday. The opening ceremonies of the Olympics were live Friday afternoon.

I know it was a ghost town Friday afternoon as I drove around the city running errands.

Next week will be interesting.

GH 15 straight weeks below two million viewers. I think that the show will continue to fall while the Olympics are on.

Sadly these numbers have become the new normal.

If GH can rebound to 2 million, I mean that would be considered "high".

If B&B reaches 2,800,000 the show had a good week.

If Y&R maintains 3 million it is doing stable.

If the show can't make it back to two million viewers then ABC should take it off the network and make it exclusive to Hulu.

With all the returns I think it's panic time at GH. I'm sure they're worried about cancellation with their dismal numbers.

TBH I don't see it doing all that well on HULU if it's ONLY on HULU

Cause we know they'd make it part of higher price tier on HULU to watch it too

One of the reasons ABC is sticking with GH is that is harder to launch a new show and they can look at NBC and see this. Maybe they figure they rather keep GH with its just under 2 million Views on ABC daily plus however it does on Hulu, instead of launching anew show that may not even get a million eyeballs on network  not to mention on Hulu. 

I mean NBC Moved DAYS to Peacock and just put a news show in it's place, if ABC wanted they CAN cancel GH and put a news show there, or repeats of some sitcom or something

Plus if they cancelled wouldn't the time slot return to the affiliates like it did when AMC and OLTL were cancelled?

It would be cheaper for ABC if they canceled GH. A news program like NBC would be much cheaper.

During AMC slot we get GMA3 and in OLTL spot we get our local affiliate programming.

The problem is that most viewers still watching traditional daytime soaps are in the 55+ range, whereas Hulu itself has a large 18-34 and 18-49 demographic, more on the younger side of both demos. Peacock can be satisfied with 200-500,000 viewers of DAYS, whereas NBC would cancel it in a heartbeat. We don't know what GH does on Hulu because they don't release any info on the show.

Technically it's not correct to say that NBC moved DAYS to Peacock. NBC, the network, has no control or authority over Peacock. The NBC network & Peacock are both answerable to NBCUniversal, their parent company. If we were looking at an organizational chart, I believe they would show up as peers. It would seem that NBC did want to get rid of DAYS but also that Peacock actively wanted it.

You are so right... and as sad I am to say it... it's kinda deserving for the low quality drivel that's been spewed. Taking Bold for example, it's the unhealthy atmosphere of uninspired writing / laziness / unrealistic characters that is making people tune out. And if something doesn't change soon, I am afraid the show will sink even lower.
