If the show had wanted him back, they could have had him back. They didn't.

Which is why I said I could see them doing the same with Tabyana. Not insisting on sticking out the contract.

Anyone suggesting GH kicked Chavez out the door is projecting wildly. GH has let people out with as little time left on their contract after an outside commitment as NAC before, preferring to preserve the relationship for the future. The implication that they consider themselves well-rid of him and would not take him back tomorrow is fantasy, AFAIC. (And I'm not suggesting that is DRW's view at all, to be clear)

Well then you were right on the money. Sorry, I didn't see that in what you said. I misread. My mistake. The point I meant to make is that it is the show's option, not the actor's. That's why I said if they had wanted him back, they could have had him. They did not. Why? Because in the interim, nothing at all to do with NAC, they had this pow-wow about the Cassadines, and as we have seen with our own eyes, they have tabled that family for some unknown period of time. Now, I think this is clear.
