Members j swift
The headaches when Bobby changes to Everett have got to be a clue, correct? Because that is an odd indication of a change in personalities. And while I assume Marlena is correct that people with mental illnesses are more likely to be victims rather than perpetrators of crime, it is a hypocritical way to teach that lesson when Connie is running around stabbing people with opera length gloves. Speaking of Connie, how does she know so much information? She knew Li was seeing Marlena, and she knows Bobby is at Bayview. Is she Marlena's unseen assistant? And how does she know to call him Bobby and not Everett? Because it is rather convenient that she just knows all of these secrets, but can't read social cues. Members Adriana
Connie knows to call him Bobby because she knows he is also Jada's ex husband that is how she knew
Members j swift
But, how does she know that? (just curious)
Members Adriana
She overheard Rafe and Jada talking outside the pub
Members j swift
@Adriana That explains a lot, thanks. That must also be why she knew Bobby was at Bayview. However, why they both waited nine months to discuss Li's murder remains a mystery (unless we account for the WGA strike) Please register in order to view this content Also, the Gil thing was nuts. He drops the book, it gets blood on it (although there was very little blood for a fatal stab wound). Then, touches the body, decides to leave, and takes the book. But, he doesn't wipe it off? When we first saw the book, it looked like it was soaked in blood, but now that seems impossible. Edited July 12, 2024 by j swift
Members Contessa Donatella
Why would a stabbing pain behind the eyes be an odd indicator of personality change? Many DID sufferers "lose time." It seems to me that looking like he had this kind of pain would be a good way for an actor to show change of personalities. Connie is way too uber-villainous!
Members carolineg
Connie thought someone might have seen her, but she wasn't sure until she heard Jada and Rafe talking. She then confronted Bobby/Everett and wasn't positive it was him until he confirmed. She explained either yesterday or the day before. The first scenes Connie/Bobby had together. Anyway, I liked Marlena's sassy up-do. I don't like how she was fooled by Bobby. I really dislike the way they are writing Marlena recently. The rest of the episode wasn't very good. Connie basically got away with this crime. She isn't a suspect. I don't know why she is so stupid to double down and kill the police chief when the obvious answer is to just leave town. Bobby/Everett is an extremely unreliable witness as is.
Members j swift
Thanks for filling in the blanks @carolineg. But, now you've got me thinking that I've caught a bit of Bobby's DID because I don't recall those scenes at all. I just hope my alter G Swift is not going to join the Alex Kiriakis fan club. Please register in order to view this content To me, Friday's episode failed because of the unnecessary flashbacks. It was neither intentionally nor unintentionally funny. I feel like there's nothing I saw that got me excited about the mystery of Li's murder (especially because it has been so long). And, it seems like the whole thing could've been told more efficiently through dialogue between Connie and Bobby. Because if the goal is for us to like Connie, the character would be better served as a sounding board for Bobby, who is played by a more engaging actor than either of her scene partners today. Members carolineg
It wasn't terribly memorable lol. I just remembering asking the same thing. Why now Connie? And she basically incriminated herself in those scenes asking Bobby if he saw her in the park before he confirmed he did. She is not a stealth criminal. If the weekly I love Alex K fanclub letter shows up every week you know who to blame.

Members AbcNbc247
I figured. It didn't feel like one of his episodes, but it sure was lousy I'm not really liking how Connie is being written like a big joke either If there ever was a time when Dee needed to throw her weight around, it's definitely now
Members j swift
Ok, now I don't trust my own memory. But, are we meant to believe that after she killed Li, Connie went to the park in a bloody gown with opera gloves, and the only person that noticed her was Bobby? Yet, the moment that she reappeared in the square last week, multiple people commented upon her odd demeanor, and she stuck out like a sore thumb. Members Contessa Donatella
Well, Ron's entire philosophy of writing this show is #1 Don't take anything seriously, but #2, how is Connie comedic? To me she's more like a female Sad Sack. Well, someone needs to do something, but that is also not news.
Members AbcNbc247
You can tell by the way it's written, and (possibly) the way that she's being directed. She doesn't come off like a threat, or a sad sack that you could root for Edited July 12, 2024 by AbcNbc247
