Have they cleaned up the Seine yet? I have been reading about the cleanup effort as they intend for competitive swimming to take place there but from last reports the Seine was still very dirty.

This is the most recent report I could find - last testing done June 18, article dated June 28.

This might be old news to those who follow track and field outside the Olympics, but its new to me.

I really hope Noah Lyles doesn't run into any of the USA basketball team in Paris, because some s--- might go down.

the women's marathon is being staged on the route of the Women's March on Versailles in 1789. (It was a key moment of the French Revolution, with cries of “Liberté, egalité, fraternité!” reverberating around the city.)

Notably, the women's marathon and basketball finals – not the men's, as is traditional – will bring these Games to a close.
