I don't know why they ended Daniel and Lily. Those two had chemistry! Now what is Lily going to do? To put conflict into their relationship, one of Lily's disapproving twins should have come back to town. Maybe Mattie, and she could have ended up in Kyle's orbit.

Wow! Elena's storyline is ON FIRE!  I can't wait to see what she does(Not) do next!

As you correctly showed, he appeared once on contract during May.

May 1st was Conner Floyd's final contract appearance.
He was last listed in the contract credits as of April 29 US (April 26 CDN),
so that would be for week of April 29 - May 3 US.

The next time the  closing credits listed actors was on  May 8 US (May 7 CDN),
and he was removed entirely then.

The next time he aired was in June and he was credited as recurring, per closing credits of June 7 US (June 6 CDN).

Has anyone else noticed, Y&R does not have a long-term consistent trouble-maker (bad-girl/bad-boy) in the cast (aside from Phyllis who is a grandmother)?  And hasn't for years.  Y&R is missing many important components of a soap opera, but one of the biggest omissions is THERE IS NO CONFLICT...   How can a soap opera survive without conflict?  Everyone just walks around Genoa City talking about who is running which company, and who has been demoted or promoted at which company.  And of course, we get the occasional evil short-term villain (Ashland Locke, Jeremy Stark, Aunt Jordan, Martin, etc.) who pops up for a few weeks or months and terrorizes a character or two.  The show needs a couple of bad characters (antagonists) who stay on the canvas for years, and cause trouble over and over again.  A good soap opera needs some level of interpersonal conflict in every episode.

Chance seems like an important "legacy character" who'd be especially easy to write storylines for, plus (in my opinion) they currently have a fairly charismatic actor in the role.  It's difficult to understand why he and Noah Newman aren't the young leads right now.

I agree that there's no significant antagonist on the canvas who weaves in & out of various stories.
