I completely get your POV on this... it was a casting 180 for me from Christopher to Barash. I think Stefan was meant to be built more European in terms of his appeal, and the Days of Our Lives equivalent of Nikolas Cassadine. Christopher was just more mysterious in the role, and I liked that appeal.

As for Cassie... I think they could recast, but I don't see the point. I am sure, pre-London move, Christie Clark would've been up for a permanent return following her 2012 firing. Belle & Carrie should both be on-canvas, going against each other in court: one as D.A. and one as a defense lawyer, etc. That would be fun.

Lilley would have been AWESOME as Belle!  MM is just so boring to me, but whatever.  I want Marlena/John's kid to be cool and MM is just the blandest of bland.  I do think she's a decent actress though.  I'll consider GT as Belle.😂  

Cassie just feels like the easiest Kate child to recast.  AT didn't make a huge impression or anything and you could easily find someone new.  She's the right age to be in the mix with Sarah, Xander, Brady, Eric, etc and I feel like she's the least defined Kate child.  But also the least important.  GT for Cassie!!!

I just do not see the appeal of BB. I cannot stand Stefan & his little porn stache. Now, DanF is a good actor & very appealing, if you ask me. 

Of course, and I cannot explain this, but I actually liked Jake. So, of course, they killed him, quick as could be. 

I do not put Stefan & EJ in the same category, ever.

I think Billy Flynn brings more to the character because he's a good actor, but Chad is kind of a dud.

Chad/Abby do seem to have a decent fanbase though, so I might be missing something.

I think Chad being set up up by Ben, and that part of the Ben/Abby/Chad story is what brought the excitement for the pairing. When that was over and done with, there wasn't much more to do with the pairing. Stefan/DID was both offensive and a mess. 

Chad would've been well suited as a playboy of sorts, who may or may not have an attraction to Will (bisexual playboy perhaps? lol).

Well tbf, BB was an emergency recast so I imagine that there wasn't much time for production to spend on the casting process and just thought that a name would help.

From what I've read: Cassie was not a well-liked character, and it's actually a shame Kyle Lowder did not work out long-term as Rex, because that was smart casting that should have worked out. And again, Tognoni for Billie. 🤣

Of course I take that into consideration, and even in his brief original stint, I did appeal to Barash as Stefan... but again, it was also material written for Christopher, so that I understand.

I also do not have your problem with MM. 

Someone said that GT is happy on the East coast, so that may be a problem for all of us GT fans.

My MM hate is pretty long standing and won't change.  She's just not what I want for John/Marlena's daughter although I do think she's a decent actress and looks the part.
