That and with some characters working at a law firm, police, fire and the hospital, there should be recurring characters to help flesh things out at each work place. Mike Manning as a journalist is likely to work in some capacity with Sean Freeman's character, Andre Hamilton, who is a photographer.

Mhmm; I'm also noticing no casting breakdowns mentioned law enforcement.... which I am going to assume is coming, as well, as a "recurring/guest" thing.

Although Andre Hamilton could also be working with the Hamilton's who model.

It's there:

Jibre Hordges stars as Jacob Hawthorne, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne’s husband and a robbery/homicide detective with the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. Jacob hails from a family of law enforcement. He is proud of his wife, the family he comes from, serving the community and seeking justice for victims. Jibre Hordges’ credits include “Grown-ish,” “9-1-1” and “The Resident.”

Yes, one. 🤣 I would assume the Hawthorne family on Jacob's side [could] be explored at some point, etc.

His most famous role from soaps is on DAYS as Charlie, Ava's rapist son who eventually got murdered. He was wasted on DAYS, so it's nice to see him bounce back on Beyond the Gates. If there's a guy that a lot of people wanted back on DAYS due to them thirsting over him that had to get cast on Beyond the Gates, I'm happy it's him.

Agreed!

My understanding is these are the CONTRACT actors. We haven't been told anything about recurring characters yet. There could be some additional casting announcements coming.

I'd assume that initially they'll probably focus on the absolute core families with the other contract players filling the "recurring" spots before being fleshed out to establish everyone, so I assume that we might get into late November or early December before we get more info about recurring players.

I hate the word "thirst," especially when a lot of it borderlines predatory behaviour, and that is disgusting to me. Hoping that doesn't continue to happen.

Looks like our girl "Stacy" has been cast under the actual name of Vanessa McBride.

AND THIS IS

Naomi's police officer husband Jacob Hawthorne.

As long as the individual is over 18, there's nothing wrong with someone "thirsting" for a celebrity. Be it The Beatles, NYSYNC, or Backstreet Boys, for example, all had girls and guys "thirsting" for them. Soap actors, guys and girls, shouldn't be any different. IMO.

  • Patrick = Vernon Dupree
  • Stacy = Vanessa McBride
  • David = Jacob Hawthorne
  • Daniel = Bradley "Smitty" Smith
  • Katie = Ashley Morgan
  • Rick = Derek Baldwin
  • Tomas "Tom" Hernandez = Tomas "Tom" Navarro

Looks like "Luis" and "Mike" are the two remaining, previously-known casting breakdowns not yet cast (or casting not yet known).

While I don't disagree, there is difference between "thirsting" (have a strong desire for something) and suggesting borderline predatory behaviour (which includes but not limited to making sexualized comments, among other things). That's where I personally draw the line. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also characters who work at and own private practice businesses such as plastic surgery and real estate. These are going to be actively busy people it seems, so yes, some recurring characters should definitely be showcased.

I can already envision the characters and see some of their faces. My imagination is burning up... which is so wonderful. I think the show has an amazing cast. Nothing is missing.  They have strong vets and fresh new faces. I'm thrilled and I am counting the days. This is going to be a historic moment in the history of SOAP OPERAS. Something we have all been waiting for. Let the genre live! And cheers to at least 2 more new soap operas in the next 5 to 10 years!

Something else I've noticed. Andre Hamilton, the photographer plays the nephew of Ted Richardson, but Andre has the same last name as Dani's ex-husband Bill. Is Bill Andre's uncle also? It's been stated that both Andre's parents were killed in an accident, so Ted is the brother of Andre's mother and Bill is the brother of Andre's father? Or did I miss something.

I noticed that, too. Makes me wonder if things either changed from the original breakdown, or if it was a mis-type in the press release that wasn't overlooked well-enough. Or we have two Hamiltons that are not related.
