Great cast!  But this franchise has had no luck at all.  Putting it up against Superman is interesting.  Are they hoping for a Barbenheimer Part 2

Aren't these two movies too similar? I thought that Barbenheimer became a thing because those two movies were so different that they attracted different audiences.

Gunn’s Superman Legacy is out on 7/11, no? Two weeks before in a crowded summer box season isn’t really a head to head like Barbenheimer was.

The Barbenheimer effect was more so about cinema goers making going to the theaters an event again. The two films are different, but many people were going in droves to watch both on the same day and with groups of people. The two films were also released on the same day for this to happen.

Ah yes, you're right.  I thought it was coming out on July 25th for some reason.

Official trailer is out tomorrow (and will premiere on Good Morning America), but Marvel released a teaser for the trailer today with some of Michael Giacchino’s score. You have to click out on the video as it won’t play in an embedded state.

This is the last chance to make this IP work cinematically, and at the top of Feige’s priority list. Given the impending introduction of Doom, it seems like the F4 will be an instant splash in this universe. They have to get this right - they have to get the eventual X-Men introduction right as well (as it’s really the future of that cinematic universe), but X-Men in Marvel’s hands is almost guaranteed to print cash, the F4 is not cinematically.
