His talk with Spencer & Then Laura in January 2024/Feb 2024 made me feel like this was truly Nikolas Cassadine since Tyler left in 2016.

Is any of this up on YT?

I did actually like Ellie and Spinelli.  The actress who played Ellie was delightful.  I want to stab myself in the eyeball thinking about the times Spinelli ran around calling Brenda the "Divine One" and did yoga with her, but I do think Spinelli has matured and seems less ADHD and more focused.

That's why I was not onboard with him coming back to the show and dumping Ellie; I felt he'd matured a lot with her and had given up on the come here/go away bullshit he used to pull with Maxie. But here we are because Bradford got tired of doing Lyft. Still, they had a reasonably intelligent conversation today, I just would prefer it being a precursor to their getting a HEA and leaving lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that entire experimental surgery that Curtis went through just to fix his wiener? I thought it was to lead to his full recovery from paralysis. But since he mentions to everyone he passes on the street now that he and Portia have "reconnected" wink-wink, I gather that we are to believe that the surgery was just to resume his ability to become, you know, ready for lovin'. LOL

They are so corny on this show all the time.

And why do the men never have a clue what they might do with another part of their anatomy?! Well, except for Steve Johnson who went down under the bubbles on their honeymoon & I have the clip that proves it!

I never found her to be bad per se, but she could not have been more disinterested in at least 95% of her material over the years and it showed onscreen.

Im slowly learning the cast bit by bit but there are a [!@#$%^&*] ton of new characters on this show and every day I’m meeting someone new when watching.

Just an aside I have limited exposure to the current Spencer but every time I’ve seen him I’ve found the actor very committed. He’s believable as a Cassadine to me. Moreso than the guy playing Nikolas in these episodes I’m seeing. To be fair my Nikolas viewing has only been limited to Tyler Christopher so it may just be my bias, but I just don’t see or feel Nikolas with this actor.

But sounds like you are off to a GOOD start. ;)

To me, the recent focus on Spinelli, a character who has outgrown his charm, feels like putting the pieces in place for Jason's return.  Everyone on the canvas is being reset to where they were when Jason was relevant.  Sonny is single, Spinelli is on his own, Drew and Sam are arguing.  It all feels very deliberate.  But the regression of characters is rarely popular.

I couldn't agree more.

From the uptake in Danny's appearances to the age old soap thing of mentioning a character's name when it's been a good minute since anyone NOT named Carly mentioned Jason to Dex being out as Sonny's Right Hand Man. Now that you mentioned it Drew v Sam becoming a more sharper thing...yep. Something's coming. And it's obvious.

Oh, how I loved Ellie and Spinelli. She was such a match for him.

OMG! I felt the same. Ellie & Spinelli were a GREAT pairing, and Emily Wilson was cute as a button in the role. The fact she somehow ended up with Griffin feels... off to me, though.

Also I was all in on Ellie & Spinelli. I'm also all in on a redux of Spixie.

I entirely forgot about that fact.  I wonder why the show chose not to use Ellie more.  She's certainly better than Willow and Sasha.

It baffles me why Wilson isn't on the show, still. She easily could still be working the labs at G.H. and interacting with the staff there.

I think she has checked out many times, and has been almost totally checked out for years with Billy Miller gone. But I do think she woke up for scenes with the new Danny discussing Jason - the other day I somewhat cynically speculated this could be because Kelly is angling to get re-paired with Steve for job security, as she was said to have done a tearful mea culpa to their fanbase at a fan event not long ago over her vocal distaste for the couple vs. Drew/Sam during the Miller years. Whatever happened with Kelly and Big Steve BTS in the year or so before he left happened fast and hard, because after insisting on making us watch them together for the better part of 20 years the show suddenly couldn't end this longtime couple fast enough. I definitely don't want to go back to Jasam - I think Sam is spent tbh and should be off the show, like so many other characters - but we'll see what happens.

As for other topics: Wyndemere being suddenly and somewhat mysteriously sold makes me wonder if it’s a Mulcahey plot point being seeded. He wrote heavily for the Cassadines in the '90s.

There are way too many played out contract characters, and that's not even counting the seemingly endless stream of recurring players who are also on way too much or have way too much story. 50% of the cast you see on any given day, there is a good chance some of them are recurring yet in regular story.

Ha!  I should have clarified.  I was talking about Katelyn McMullen (Willow), not KeMo, but all these KeMo points are valid.  I was too lazy to look up how to spell Katelyn's name and just said KM instead.

I don't think GH needs another white woman in that age range at this point, but I would gladly switch her out with some of the other options we have.

Oh God, I forgot they left Ellie with boring-ass Griffin too.

Haha, and there are three K.M.'s on the show:

Katelyn MacMullen
Kate Mansi
Kelly Monaco

Any new hire should avoid these initials, LOL!

Same + thrown annoying-ass absent Amy in there, too.

Super random.  But I tend to think Griffin and Chase are the same person, so I kind of forget what Griffin did on the show besides Ava and Kiki.

I use KM when I am talking about Kimberly McCullough sometimes too.

I forgot Griffin existed. And, I don't think that's on me. I think it just was Griffin.

Did or who? Remember when he was introduced as O.G. baby daddy for Charlotte? Choices were made. Griffin had potential but they never reached it with the role.

OMG forgot about her. WOW, haha.
