It's not uncommon for a soap to hedge their bets on a popular actor returning if they bomb out in pilot season or whatever. I'm not surprised if they are waiting to make a decision on Spencer. That's not some hot scoop lol. Nor is it shocking, unprecedented or inappropriate that Chavez got an out from the show a few months before his contract officially ends (in June or July, I believe) for a primetime opportunity. That's happened many times in daytime.

I watched today's GH before coming to the soap board, and I thought Kirsten Storms looked thinner and less bloated, even though she was dressed in black. It's the best she's looked in a while.

I love hearing this.

In addition, I do think it is NUTS that GH hasn't decided what to do with Chavez. That's just incompetent production as far as I'm concerned.

This thing, that they haven't made up their minds how to have or not to have a Cassadine presence, I mean. how long does it take them to make a decision?! And, the fact that they haven't doesn't just impact Spencer: NAC or recast. It is also why Adam Huss is not on contract.

However, perhaps it will be advantageous that PatrickM will now have input.

I don't really see how KS taking weight loss drugs is a good thing?  If she has to be medicated and is having panic attacks about her weight that's just really unhealthy.  Ozempic isn't a cure for her issues.

You make a good point. However, at this juncture, it's obviously her choice to do this, so it's not like anyone could do anything about it & if it helps her function better, I'm gonna park any reservations I have & just be pleased for her.

I'm going to share something. I hope you don't make me regret it. Kirsten Storms is on a weight loss drug & is losing weight & she is so pleased & in such a good mood, that she is letting the support people do their jobs instead of ignoring them or fighting them & so that makes them very happy. And, in a few weeks maybe we will be able to tell onscreen. So, if you've been praying for KS, alter your prayer to help her keep this up!

I do mind you sharing this, unless she disclosed it herself with a verifiable link.

Sure, she can take whatever she wants, but if her day hinges on how much she weighs or how good she looks it's a much more serious issue than just gaining a few pounds.  And it should be addressed as such by GH, by her family, by her friends, whoever.

In case anyone missed this, from about 11 months ago,
Kirsten Storms in her own words, talking about her bipolar diagnosis (on Maurice Benard's "state of mind" show)

On Monday's episode Ava sold off Wyndemere. The Cassadines no longer have a home. Their presence on the show is in peril.

This one is an especially good one, if you ask me.

I know that this is not ideal. But, you never know, maybe something that improves something at all, is the kind of thing that could position her for even better activities. Maybe if she hit some kind of bottom then this is a step in the right direction, at least.

I mind as well.  Unless or until KS herself chooses to reveal this information publicly, it's absolutely nobody's business.  Period.

Duly noted.

If we'd never spoken about her at all, I certainly wouldn't be saying this now. But, as it stands I thought that good news should be shared. But, I completely understand & respect different ways of looking at it.

Fine.  Then let KS and/or her reps share it, if and when they are ready to share it.

You don't honestly believe that fans are suddenly going to stop being interested in actor's lives. I mean, do you believe in a blanket rule of never discussing such things? Applied across the board to everyone, all the time?

Look, it's one thing to discuss an actor's on-camera, physical appearance (even though I'm not necessarily comfortable with talking about issues that are out of that actor's control), but whichever steps they elect to take or not take OFF-camera to address their issues should remain private and off-limits to the rest of us unless or until they choose to make it known; because, at the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their privacy.

And that's all I'm going to say to you about this subject.
