He absolutely is. I remember him trying to make it soar with everyone from Kelly Sullivan to Jennifer Bransford and even KM lol, to say nothing of poor Megan Ward. (idk if he was ever committed to Kari Wuhrer.)

Unfortunately for her, when she was free of GH other shows wanted her but they didn't do a good job at all of actually writing story for her characters there. The example of Diana Colville at DAYS is pitiful. Yes, they put her with John & she was a reporter, sure, but they didn't really write for her & then when she said she was leaving then they said to wait that they had this great idea for a story. She walked out the door.

And in the case of Sexy Dexy be able to tolerate 7 different hairstyles in 2 weeks' time! That is a lot of extra time spent in the Hair & Makeup chair!

Okay, if you say so, but you're gonna have to remind me what they were! Sorry but I do not remember this at all. And, my short term memory functions just fine.

I would point out one thing. In GH fandom you always find Mo & Sonny's detractors but it is rare to find anything but a lovefest for Genie/Laura!

CW a better actress than Vanessa? Wow..

or on 90210 and later Las Vegas… She showed a lot of range. No offense to CW (I liked her on GL) but no way is she better lol I highly disagree for the first time ever

But I’ll give it to CW to work with all the horrible stuff the writers threw at her lately… But Stafford will always be Nina to me

When Sonny learned about Nina‘s betrayal… The Cyrus attack… Sonny asking Dex to kill Cyru and if he‘s with him. That was the Sonny straight from the 2000‘s back in the show. I do think that some of his mumbling and tiredness has to do with the bipolar and his meds.

Lol.  I remember when he talked crap about LV's Hannah like she was the problem.  Well, she was, but she was the reason the pairing tanked.  Then again with the Angel pairing.  It was the actress's fault as well.  I don't think he ever liked the Reese pairing.  I will say he was quite good with Megan Ward, but that's really the only pairing in the ballpark of his main pairings and that was 15 years ago.

I think CW is objectively the better actress overall.  Clearly I am a Vanessa fan and I think she's fantastic, but she relies a lot on charisma, charm, and star appeal along with fire chemistry with her co-stars.   VM is wonderful at playing Brenda, but CW would have slayed Brenda's breakdown scenes in 1997-98 and Vanessa did whatever she did.  They are both great, but CW just has a bit more range.  And to be honest, I always thought Vanessa just played slightly different versions of Brenda on every show/movie she was on.   That doesn't mean I don't love her or can't name 100 scenes that VM/Brenda did that were amazing.   I just think popularity, appeal and chemistry are different than actual acting skills.   Vanessa beats Cynthia is the former, but not the latter.

I always did.  It was just a colder, bitchier, less emotional Brenda.  And let's be honest, Las vegas stretched no one's acting range lol.  I do love the show and have seen every episode at least 3 times though.  Josh Duhamel was just peak dreamy back then.

I am really not trying to slam Vanessa, my most favorite actress on soaps of all time.  I just think I can see some of her limitations.

I am not saying he was wrong.  He just did play the blame game for awhile on the love interests.  And I do agree about bringing Hannah in at the time was a huge mistake as well.  It was too much Brendaclone too soon.

That's worthy of consideration. But, personally, I really like AdamH. I'm more interested in a recast for a 'somehow discovered to be alive' Spencer. Although I would stand up & cheer to have RKK back as Stavros! Speaking of male Cassadines ...

Okay, so it wasn't great, elevated drama, still, they entertained me on a weekly basis & that counts!

I do know what you mean though because I could always see Maura through Carly Tenney-Snyder but with Ava I do not see Maura.

    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
